My sister-in-law had a pretty disappointing experience at this location today. In a community like the Antelope Valley, local support really matters, so it's always surprising when a business doesn't seem to value the people who keep it running. Apparently taking a moment to decide what you'd like to order is considered an inconvenience here. The cashier made a gesture implying she needed to hurry up, which felt unnecessarily dismissive especially when someone is simply trying to decide how they'd like to spend their hard-earned money. It's a shame, because local businesses thrive on positive interactions with their customers. Experiences like this make it much easier to understand why so many other coffee spots are opening throughout the AV and gaining loyal support. Needless to say, my family and I will be taking our coffee runs elsewhere moving forward. Stopped by this coffee shop on the way to Mammoth. The menu and style of the shop was cute. However, the wait for the drinks was a major setback. We ordered 4 drinks and it took more than 30 minutes for them to be made. I would understand if the line was out the door, but when we walked in there were only two small groups ahead of us waiting to order. The rest of the coffee shop was filled with people waiting for their drinks. I could also tell that many people were set off by the wait and it wasn't just our group. I'm one and all for being patient, but with 3-4 workers the flow should be better/needs improvement. The coffee itself was substandard. We ordered a caramel hazelnut latte with vanilla cold foam, a Spanish latte, and one of their Valentine specials called the Red Flag (caramel latte with cream cheese foam & sea salt). Compared to places in OC and LA county, the coffee wasn't as flavorful. I saw the Monin syrups and thought I could still give this coffee shop a chance, but I would pass the next time around. Visited Trio today after going to 3 other coffee shops to sit and do homework. Trio was the only shop that had outlets (unbelievable, do better, other coffee shops). On top of that, their baristas were very personable. I ordered a triple shot over ice (my usual litmus test for coffee quality), and their espresso was very smooth without any bitter aftertaste, great pull. I also had their raspberry tea, also great! I want to start off with very good delicious, ham and cheese. Sourdough sandwich. Sadly, apparently the avocado was discontinued. So I couldn't have that. But very good. Sadly it took me over 15 minutes to get one sandwich people before and after me got their drinks and their sandwiches before me which I found a little odd. But OK I get it. You guys are busy but I would also like to see maybe more from. I'm guessing the manager cause she was training and I understand that I mean how else would they learn, but the one who was in charge was very hard to hear. She was super quiet. Her energy was just like very mess and it was just an awkward interaction. You know she just got to the point and just said, what would you like and that's about it and it was awkward and yeah. I worked in many food restaurants and I will say it was kind of gross. Seeing them. Put all their spoons that they mix every drink with on top of the machines on top of a rag instead of a sanitation bin and seeing like this nasty molded piece behind the machine that was sticking out, I would say they need some improvement. They take their time and they seem to be running out of everything or never have something they should have, and I don't know why but it was all right. What a cute little shop! It's a cozy interior that would be a lovely spot to catch up with a friend. I also appreciate how friendly and helpful the staff was. They were great about explaining menu items to guests and offering suggestions. I opted for a matcha and a jalapeno bagel. The bagel was soft and had a good flavor! After 1.5 hours on the glorious 5 freeway (because...LA), my body staged a caffeine protest. Luckily, I saw this coffee house and it did not disappoint. The menu was clear, with plenty of signage and even a dedicated fall menu for all the PSL enthusiasts (noted for next time). The wait was about 10-15 minutes for two iced lattes and a blueberry loaf. Must try: iced vanilla latte with pistachio foam--smooth, sweet, and just the pick-me-up you need. The blueberry loaf was perfectly moist. I was craving a chai and I saw they had a strawberry option to choose from. It did not disappoint, the subtle hint of strawberry made this drink a little sweet with just the right amount. The chai had really good flavoring too! This spot is located in the Albertsons parking lot to the left of the store. It is small inside but there is more seating in the back. TL;DR: if something is wrong with your drink, you have to buy a new one at 50% off, they don't remake it. Let me start by saying I do love this place. They have great drinks with fun flavor combinations, especially in the fall. It is a small shop but if you're lucky you'll find seating in the back where it's more quiet. Needless to say I've been coming here for quite some time and recently had my first not so great experience. We ordered 2 Berrychata lattes off their summer menu. Now I didn't go into this order blind as I've had the horchata latte and their strawberry matcha before, and never had an issue. This time around, the horchata was grainy like it wasn't strained, and the berry flavor was a bit too artificial and over powering. You couldn't even taste the espresso. Upon taking that first sip, my bff and I looked each other almost simultaneously. This was AFTER we already posted to our stories hyping up Trio as we always do, because yay for Woman owned small business! After much deliberation and hesitation, we returned to the drink counter in hopes of having it remade or just getting a new drink all together. Instead of remaking the drinks, we were offered to add more milk to the current drinks or to buy 2 new drinks at a 50% discount. I was both surprised and let down at that response especially when it was a quality issue and not a picky complaint. I understand everything is more expensive these days but bruh. I went ahead and bought the 2 new drinks (Mexican mocha iced). When ordering with a different girl at the register she asked what the problem was and acknowledged that they've received a number of comments about the horchata. *stares in disbelief* I paid, got our drinks, and sat my ass down in shock like I just got hustled. We deleted our posts on socials as a result of said hustle. My cousin recommended we tried this spot since we were in the area. Let me start with the aesthetics of this coffee shop. They have the cutest coffee artwork that reminds me of cuphead. They have multiple tables set up in door where you can catch up on studying or catch up with your friends. If you want a cute tote bag they have that in stock too. Now the coffee, I got a Spanish latte and a Mexican mocha latte. For both lattes I paid a little under $14. They were both pretty different from each other. The Spanish latte was more of a macchiato and it was a little too sweet. You could still taste the espresso but the sweetness made it a little hard to enjoy. The Mexican mocha had a lot of cinnamon and chocolate notes. This one wasn't as sweet but there was a lot of graininess in the coffee from the cinnamon and chocolate. I do wish their milk alternatives weren't as expensive ($1.25). It really makes you reconsider if you want to spend $8+ on coffee. read more

My friends and I have been dying to try this place. We all ordered a Vanilla Matcha Latte which was just okay. I don't think it's the best matcha I've had so maybe next time I'll try something different. The drinks are around $7 to $8 for a medium, a little pricey! I went here two mornings in a row after being on a family emergency in Palmdale, I got to try to Spanish latte, vanilla latte and pistachio cold foam, as well as the caramel brûlée latte. This was one of the most disappointing coffee shop visits I've had in a long time. From the moment we walked in, it didn't feel welcoming. The "welcome in" from staff was so dry it seemed like they didn't even want to be there. The environment itself felt cramped and uncomfortable, which didn't help the first impression. What really concerned me was the lack of an LA County Health Letter Grade anywhere in sight. That's usually one of the first things I look for, and not seeing it makes me question the cleanliness of the entire operation. On top of that, the ice machine was wide open with obvious calcium build-up inside, and the espresso bar area looked unkempt with coffee grounds scattered all over. None of that gave me confidence in how this shop is run. Service didn't make things better. The cashier wasn't sure how to answer basic questions about the menu and didn't even bother to be upfront about not knowing. My wife's drink came out grainy, and both of our drinks were overly sweet to the point where the coffee flavor was completely lost. It honestly felt like everything relied on Monin syrups instead of any real effort or quality. Overall, the experience was unpleasant from start to finish; poor service, questionable cleanliness, and drinks that weren't worth finishing. I won't be coming back, and I'd recommend checking out other nearby coffee shops that actually put care into their drinks and customer service. read more

Their drinks are good. We ordered ahead of time online however everything has an up charge for add ons. My 16oz of iced matcha cost almost $10 which is definitely on the pricier side. Want milk alternative to oat milk or almond milk? That's an additional $1.25. I never understood why some businesses charge for milk alternatives when some customers may not be able to drink regular whole milk example: they're lactose intolerant. Want cold foam? $1.25. Additional syrup flavors that's $0.80 each. Lattes are $6.50 - $7.50. It's good to grab once in a while but definitely not an everyday coffee type of place.
