I love their teas! The Tropical Twister and the Lancaster Mango are the best. I love that they are always more than happy to adjust the sugar to make it less sweet for me :) The employees are always super sweet! I want to come in and try their food and sweet treats sometime soon.

What a nice tea shop! You can buy loose leaf tea or drinks and I got both! There's plenty of seating inside and they have a lot of cute local art on the walls which I loved. The staff were super welcoming and helped me decide what to order. I got midnight loose leaf tea and green mango tango loose leaf tea and for a drink I got the white champagne raspberry which was very refreshing! I loved everything I got and can't wait to be back.

Had a nice meal here while visiting a friend! My sandwich was pretty good, but the tea was phenomenal! I would definitely back in for another try!

Jackfruit Burrito: Surprisingly meaty!!! for vegan.

The Jackfruit Burrito at Modern Tearoom intrigued me since eating Coco Jack at Spoon & Pork which is Jackfruit braised in coconut milk. So I even called ahead and talked Annabelle into reserving me a Jackfruit Burrito because it would be disappointing to drive from L.A. all the way to Lancaster to find it was sold out. The clean, contemporary interior is functional bordering on shabby chic. The space is casual, relaxing, quiet enough for a convivial conversation. The staff is pleasant and unobtrusively friendly. 1) The Jackfruit Burrito is huge. Each half can feed 1 person for lunch. Well constructed, tightly & precisely wrapped to the point the wheat based wrap is as taut as a Marine's bunk bed cover. The filling has Jackfruit that has a meaty, fibrous, pot roast like texture. Brown rice, frijoles negros/black beans, red bell pepper, Pico de Gallo of tomato, cilantro, green chiles, onion dressed with cilantro vegan ranch dressing. Side of Sonia's avocado salsa. It is very strong and complexly seasoned with what may be cumin, coriander, oregano, thyme. It has a Za'atar spice mix feel that has a dried, earthy, green herbal flavour and has a long finish in the mouth as well as burping up some of those flavours later. Totally vegan in concept. 2) Sencha, a Japanese green tea on ice was refreshing, astringent, thirst quenching and was a good foil to the heavy, strong spiced Burrito. I'm impressed that Modern Tearoom has a great number of teas and infusions. I like the airy, light atmosphere. It's a place to find alternate food and drink realities that stray away from just standard American fare. 4 stars PS MOAH is right across the street so it's convenient for a pre or post museum nosh.

Happy 10 years of being the best restaurant in Lancaster CA! Sometimes I go for a date with my husband. Sometimes I go with my friends. Sometimes I go and order to go. No matter when I go, I always feel happy and welcomed here. The food is always amazing. Currently, my favorite is the French toast!

I came to the modern tea room a day before Valentine's Day, which is my anniversary and my wife's suggested this restaurant cause I really like breakfast and she likes breakfast too. We got their right when they opened or almost when they open. It was not busy and it's on the boulevard in Lancaster. It's a nice looking restaurant café. The server was very nice. It was a really nice atmosphere. We looked at the menu and they had cinnamon roll or cinnamon flavored pancake or something like that and I love pancakes and my wife got an oatmeal and I got an orange juice which I did not get to finish because it tasted funny. It might've been my toothpaste, but I doubt it. It was a really nice meal. I would have to say I would need to explore more of their menu but so far breakfast was an eight out of 10 and I'm excited about coming back to try the rest vegetarian and vegan and meat dishes.

Im a local and had no clue this place exists. My new go to for everything tea. Variety of drinks hot or cold various blends, fruity etc. Looking for Vegan or not so vegan dishes. This is the place. Tried the not so vegan avocado toast delicious with a sprinkle of bacon and queso fresco oh so yummy. Definitely will return. Recommend you get here early, the place fills quick there could be about a 15 minute wait time so worth it. Very attentive staff. Great customer service.

VEGAN OPTIONS!!!!!!! Hey Y'all I'm back. And I bought friends to celebrate a birthday. It was busy today. Soft music not loud. You could hear your conversation. There was a different menu today. I realize that we went on Sunday and had the brunch menu. I was expecting to get my vegan French toast. So I had to choose something else. I got nachos and tofu lettuce wraps. I did not care for the lettuce wraps. The tofu was cold. Our waitress took it off the check. My sister girls loved everything that they got. We each ordered two items. I am the only vegan. The seating sometimes is slow but be patient it is worth the wait. Everyone is so nice and sweet.

This is such a cute place to grab tea. Staff was very patient with me and willing to describe any tea I asked about. This is my new spot to grab tea!!!!

The Vegan Pancakes with banana nut was absolutely delicious, Casper was an expeditious and professional server balancing the entire cafe with the Chef. The atmosphere was lively with great art throughout the cafe. Definitely worth the visit within the cultural art district of Lancaster.

Egg Salad Sandwich with Marmalade and Spinach Salad with Feta Cheese

The food was good. I ordered an Egg Salad Sandwich on white bread. Orange marmalade was also added to the sandwich. I didn't care for the bread being toasted. The service was Amazing and the young ladies were very attentive. The place was clean and tidy. I was expecting a real tea room, but it was just an average coffee shop vibe. That's probably why it's called the Modern Tea Room. They had so many teas to choose from! I ended up enjoying matcha green tea it was Delicious! I would go back for the service and the tea. The music playing was too loud. As I'm a 59 year old lady that's had her share of loud music lol

Since it was our first visit, we walked up to the bar and explained that we're not IPA fans and asked if we could sample a few beers. The staff was super friendly and happy to let us try different options. We ended up really liking the Waterfront Lager and ordered micheladas. Their michelada mix is AMAZING. The Palmdale location is drinks only (no food), but the atmosphere and service made for a really fun night. Fast forward to yesterday. My husband and I had a date night and remembered how much we liked the beer, so we decided to check out the Lancaster location since they also serve food. When we walked in, the place was packed and there were only two girls working the entire floor. Even though they were clearly super busy, they were still very friendly and upfront that there would be about a 15-minute wait for a table. We appreciated the honesty, so we waited patiently and eventually got seated. We found out that the Lancaster location doesn't always have the same beers as the Palmdale brewery location, so unfortunately they didn't have the Waterfront Lager we loved. We were a little bummed, but our waitress gladly brought us samples so we could find something else we liked. We ended up ordering a lighter blonde beer since many of the others were too hoppy for our taste. We also tried their handmade mango and pineapple micheladas and WOW! both were so good. The food was delicious too. We ordered the totchos (loaded tator tots), 6-piece hot wings, and the Asian sliders. Everything came out fresh and flavorful. Even though they were slammed busy, the waitresses continued checking on us regularly throughout the night. Overall, it ended up being a really great date night. The ambiance is casual, fun, and welcoming, and both locations gave us excellent service. Lucky Luke is definitely going to become one of our regular date night spots moving forward!

I was in the mood for a good hearty salad as I had a heavy seafood meal the night before and was planning on big bbq for weekend so I wanted to kinda have a clean fill up in between! So we selected the chicken kebab salad, something with the Lulu and Shawarma chicken, the tzatziki dip with some pita bread and a bottle of Pinot Grigio. To me the kebabs were a bit too charred I'm not sure if that's how they should be or not. I was expecting soft savory meat not a dry different version of bbq meat. The dressing was dryer than expected (that was my best adjective at the moment) it was vinegar overpowering. I had hoped for think more of a fruit maybe flavored balsamic taste. I didn't finish it I just ended up drinking lunch along with the tzatziki dip. I did like the rice that came with my mother's meal too. It was flavorful and made perfectly (unlike my rice!) So for me this was a one and done type a place I'm glad I experienced it, but I won't be back.
