Katz is located behind the Police station near downtown Lancaster in a corner lot, very unassuming from the street but when you walk through the door you are taking back by a 50s style diner look and feel. As we walked in we were greeted by the friendly staff, we were seated right away, the restaurant was very busy, we walked in around 10am. Even with a full house of guests, we only waiting a few minutes to get our food. What a great experience. As soon as we were seated a very upbeat and friendly waitress shared the menus and took our drink orders. The menu has so many options, some common breakfast, lunch and Dinner style plates. We ordered the Remember the Alamo omelette, wow, great tasting green salsa pork filled omelette with cheese, served with your choice of potatoes or hashbrowns and toast, I ordered a side of bacon, this is a must try dish. My brother ordered the Big Bopper served with a giant chicken fried steak, potatoes, gravy with eggs served your way, bring an appetite it is a huge portion of food. We also noticed a large plate of gigantic pancakes, a huge burger and fries dish, we will certainly be coming back and sharing our experience with our friends and family.

Service is as good, food is delicious and big portions, the service is fast and friendly. Nice small spot to have a relaxing breakfast, lots of options to choose from.

Food's a 3, service is a 5. Our waitress was lovely - really friendly and helpful. The place has great old-school diner vibes. Corned beef hash was the best thing I had. Hash brown was cold, cheese didn't melt, and the steak was lukewarm and chewy. I didn't mention it at the time, so they never had the chance to fix it. I'd still give them another try, but I'd stick with the corned beef hash next time.

What a fun diner! Anytime my husband and I are on a road trip, we always love to check out a local diner. This one definitely hit the spot. We split the tuna melt and Ortega burger. Both were yummy, but the Ortega burger stole the show. The meat was so flavorful and the toppings were fabulous. We also got potato salad and coleslaw. The cole slaw was a bit dry, but the potato salad was fantastic. I almost ordered another scoop. The service was friendly and the ambiance was jammed packed! If we would have arrived 5 minutes later, we wouldn't have gotten a seat! We arrived around 9 am on a Sunday morning. I called ahead to make sure the entire menu was available, not just breakfast.

to not do her job like she's supposed to.

First of all, my name is Linda. I'm a regular customer that goes there once in a while. I'm legally blind and my son is down syndrome now there was five of us to keep in today my son's from Montebello and I bragged about this place. There was two ladies there one was more hair than the other one and the one that helped us with a really skinny one now we are disabled except for my son's wife my son disabled and his son is disabled and my son is down syndrome and we're all legally blind, which is my son myself and my grandson. I pay people to take me there sometimes cause I don't drive and my son's down syndrome we like the place we like the Low writing we like the old stuff we like it's a very nice place but very bad service. The lady that helped us had us wait for a long time to take our order. She got the order wrong. we told her specifically a chocolate shake with no whipped cream. She brought it with whipped cream. The oatmeal was really dry. I asked her for hot water my son's egg. My older son's egg was very cold like she waited a long time to bring us our food. I ordered bacon sausage. I ordered eggs and I have been there before where I ordered a plate in a con with hashbrowns. She said everything was individually. It was separate so I told her no it was never like that. I used to have a breakfast plate with bacon and eggs and hash brown. She didn't even ask us if we wanted more coffee we had to tell her we had to ask her for extra napkins. She treated us very, very uncomfortable. We felt very uncomfortable. There was people there. I don't know if she was prejudice. There was a lot of white people there and she was catering to them asking them what they need serving them treating them a kind so as I'm paying, I tell the lady that was talking to us. There was also their ordering. She had a plate with hashbrowns and she had a plate with bacon and eggs. I told her I thought you said everything was separate. She was all sorry she was very rude to us for no reason I'm a regular customer. I will never go there or recommend this place to nobody and I'm gonna also let them know. I put a bad review and the bill was $118. She also said it was a 10% discount so I don't really know how much the bill was. All I know is that we paid 118 and gave her no tip I used to like going to this place. It was one of my favorites and I was always treated kind, but by the other waitress never by her but she's either having a bad day. She should've went home customers go first and it was awful waiting and getting cold food not getting our order right waiting for it. It took forever. It was just all bad, but I will let them know tomorrow that I gave them a bad review.

Great food and amazing service. Everyone here is so nice. It's very crowded on sundays so there might be a bit of a wait but it's worth it. I had the pancake breakfast and it was great, the pancakes melted in my mouth. Such a great local spot. Street parking.

The food quality was very high, I ordered the Huevos Rancheros, they were very authentic with a tomato sauce and sauteed onions and peppers, not spicy but I did ask for their home salsa and it brought up the spice level, the dish is served with homemade rice and beans, all well cooked. I also ordered a side of pancakes and bacon for my dad and they were perfectly cooked. The cost of the meal was very reasonable and worth the visit. Since it was our first visit, we walked up to the bar and explained that we're not IPA fans and asked if we could sample a few beers. The staff was super friendly and happy to let us try different options. We ended up really liking the Waterfront Lager and ordered micheladas. Their michelada mix is AMAZING. The Palmdale location is drinks only (no food), but the atmosphere and service made for a really fun night. Fast forward to yesterday. My husband and I had a date night and remembered how much we liked the beer, so we decided to check out the Lancaster location since they also serve food. When we walked in, the place was packed and there were only two girls working the entire floor. Even though they were clearly super busy, they were still very friendly and upfront that there would be about a 15-minute wait for a table. We appreciated the honesty, so we waited patiently and eventually got seated. We found out that the Lancaster location doesn't always have the same beers as the Palmdale brewery location, so unfortunately they didn't have the Waterfront Lager we loved. We were a little bummed, but our waitress gladly brought us samples so we could find something else we liked. We ended up ordering a lighter blonde beer since many of the others were too hoppy for our taste. We also tried their handmade mango and pineapple micheladas and WOW! both were so good. The food was delicious too. We ordered the totchos (loaded tator tots), 6-piece hot wings, and the Asian sliders. Everything came out fresh and flavorful. Even though they were slammed busy, the waitresses continued checking on us regularly throughout the night. Overall, it ended up being a really great date night. The ambiance is casual, fun, and welcoming, and both locations gave us excellent service. Lucky Luke is definitely going to become one of our regular date night spots moving forward!
