I've been a customer for over 20 years. This is an old- fashioned diner. Prices are great and the food is good. It's a locals' place that has a loyal following. They have a lot of different meals on the menu. The Village Grille is an icon in the city of Lancaster.

For the positives, the prices are good, the menu selection is awesome, the service was kind, and definatly cute decoration to give it that small diner feel. Also the salsa tasted very fresh like home made. Negatives, the food was bland, we ordered several different things so we could try a few things and none of it was great, not terrible but nothing special. The biscuits and gravy sauce is very peppery. Also keep in mind this isn't the best part of town, and a couples relationship drama outburst was very uncomfortable while we ate. We originally thought it would be a place to come back and try more menu items but we won't be back.

Give the Place a Chance, May still look like It stuck in the 60's but the food and prices can be compared to your chain restaurants. Breakfast Served all Day

Food plain. Woman's restroom has a door that a wheelchair cannot enter through. Making it impossible for a handicap person to use.

The food was absolutely superb everything came out quickly, fresh, and piping hot. What really stood out was the staff. Every single person we encountered was incredibly friendly and attentive. Not once did someone pass by our table without checking in to make sure we were doing okay, which made the whole experience feel welcoming and genuine. The biscuits and gravy are a must-try. My son usually doesn't like them at all, but he tried them here and absolutely loved them that says everything. Between the amazing food, the warm and attentive service, and the great music playing in the background, the whole experience was top-notch. Honestly, this place is better than Disneyland! If you're looking for great food and a friendly atmosphere, this is the spot.

The staff has gotten to know my family and I very well and we never are dissapointed. They offer the best meals and the prices are so reasonable. The menudo is the best thing here and I am not too crazy for menudo. The crepes are so flavorful. If you're not a Nutella fan even with the cream and fruit it is the best flavor. They have amazing options for each and every person. Defiantly come here if you want amazing food.

I just wanted something light, so I ordered grits and an English muffin. My friend ordered the light breakfast. We were both happy with our meals and service. We definitely want to return to try something on the lunch menu. Only complaint is the bathroom is not in the restaurant; you have to get a key and go around to the back parking lot. I wasn't crazy about that. Shout out to our servers, Nikki and Jody, great service! 1/29/26

I was in town for a birthday breakfast and found this little diner…read more Let's start with the positives. The main dishes were delicious! And the best part was the home fries. Definitely order the home fries over hash browns, they are well seasoned crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. So delicious don't skip! The garden burger was also so delicious the patty is made of like oats and mushrooms and one more ingredient that I can't remember right now but it was superb! Definitely one of the best veggie burgers I have had! Top 5 for sure. Now the reason they didn't get 5 stars. The side of fruit that I ordered and two other plates on the table came with, wasn't fresh. It looked a day or a few days old. Only the melon was decent enough to eat. Next is more of a suggestion. I understand it's a diner but I feel like all restaurants/diners/cafes should have alternative milks such as oat, soy or almond milk. Because I asked for a cold brew but I had to drink it black due to the lack of alternative milks. Which was fine but I can't be the only person that has that suggestion. Overall Katz n' jammers cafe was a cute diner with 50s nostalgia on the walls and fair prices for good food!

Since it was our first visit, we walked up to the bar and explained that we're not IPA fans and asked if we could sample a few beers. The staff was super friendly and happy to let us try different options. We ended up really liking the Waterfront Lager and ordered micheladas. Their michelada mix is AMAZING. The Palmdale location is drinks only (no food), but the atmosphere and service made for a really fun night. Fast forward to yesterday. My husband and I had a date night and remembered how much we liked the beer, so we decided to check out the Lancaster location since they also serve food. When we walked in, the place was packed and there were only two girls working the entire floor. Even though they were clearly super busy, they were still very friendly and upfront that there would be about a 15-minute wait for a table. We appreciated the honesty, so we waited patiently and eventually got seated. We found out that the Lancaster location doesn't always have the same beers as the Palmdale brewery location, so unfortunately they didn't have the Waterfront Lager we loved. We were a little bummed, but our waitress gladly brought us samples so we could find something else we liked. We ended up ordering a lighter blonde beer since many of the others were too hoppy for our taste. We also tried their handmade mango and pineapple micheladas and WOW! both were so good. The food was delicious too. We ordered the totchos (loaded tator tots), 6-piece hot wings, and the Asian sliders. Everything came out fresh and flavorful. Even though they were slammed busy, the waitresses continued checking on us regularly throughout the night. Overall, it ended up being a really great date night. The ambiance is casual, fun, and welcoming, and both locations gave us excellent service. Lucky Luke is definitely going to become one of our regular date night spots moving forward!
