I stopped by here after a workout without even looking at the yelp reviews. It was basically empty on a Friday at 5PM. The menu is very large so I understand that people's experiences might differ greatly depending on what they order. I ended up getting a Primo Burger for $11.01. The burger is huge. It's a classic diner burger except with the addition of avocado. It's a bit satay but overall a good burger. $11 is getting up there in price but unfortunately that's the new normal in this economy. This place has the best breakfast burritos in town but the they repeatedly make billing mistakes. About a month ago I called in an order and they forgot to put 3 fries that were paid for. Rather than drive all the way back I called it in and they said they would refund my card in 3-5 days. Two weeks later it still had not been refunded and they said I should contact my bank and refused to take responsibility for the refund. Today they charged me $63.90 for four breakfast burritos. I had called it in and ran in to get the food and when I got to the car I thought did they really just charge me almost $64 for 4 burritos? Yes. Yes they did. I guess the girl had too much time on her hands when o called the order on and decided to add two meals that I never ordered.... The restaurant was pretty empty when I got there so it's not like she was being rushed... she just randomly added to extra meals to a very simple order repeated to her several times. When I go back in to address the random charges in my bill, the girls were like oh sorry about that we can just put it back on your card. No thank you I said. I've heard that line of baloney from this establishment too many times. I requested cash and they said they could not give me cash if I paid with card. We went back and forth on that one for a bit and I just thought fine, I'll probably never see my money they owe me, but I'm going to let everyone I can, know about the incompetence and terrible customer service here. If I don't receive this refund within 10 days I'll report them to the better business bureau. I don't get it. I'm a regular repeat customer and yet so many times they mess up in my bill and they never compensate you anything extra to say sorry, and they never even get better. It's not just one employee either, it's all those girls that work the register. You would think working the cash register was like asking them to do calculus on paper. FYI -Only the gal with the long blonde hair knows what she is doing. She never makes mistakes and sadly only works in the mornings. Good luck my friend. If you eat here pay cash, check your order before you leave and double check it again and then check your receipt. I came for a burger and left a regular. Parking lot empty. I'm disabled with a placard. I parked in the handicapped stall but not the straightest. I was ordering food for my sister because I'm vegan. Go in was greeted. I had a pleasant day thus far. I looked at the daily specials, it wasn't what my sister wanted so asked the worker did they have more specials and she said yes. Ordered up . Was just standing there waiting for my order to be up. A young Latina worker was walking past me with a concerned look and asked , "Is that your car?" I said "Yes" . The restaurant was clean and the staff was friendly. This was our first time there. I was surprised that there is a large fire place. The French fries were good. The zucchini was good but at $8.95 a bit expensive. My husband ordered 2 fish tacos and I ordered the fish basket that came with three pieces of fish, a lot of French fries, and something they called tartar sauce. They put the "tartar sauce" on the tacos as well. The fish was not good. The tartar sauce was what the base for potato salad would be: mayo, mustard, and pickle relish. The food and service is great. Love how the owner plays oldies really sets the ambience. The food comes out pretty fast. The girls are very polite and attentive. The customers are a bit questionable. Unfortunately, i have to leave a 1 star review for this joint. We called our order in to have it ready for pickup. Lady told us will be ready in 10 minutes . We called again to confirm after 10 minutes the order was ready, the lady stated yes. Upon arrival they told us they were still working on it, and we had to wait an additional 15 minutes! For some 15 minutes is nothing, however for us, we are working and on the clock. We only have such little time to pickup on our breaks. Anyways, after reaching the location, we were charged an additional 10$ on each order! My review is for my order only, i had a meal which was supposed to be about 10$ and some change. At the window she also stated 10$ and some change. After swiping my card she charged me 20$ and some change. We thought maybe she made a mistake but then everyone's order were overcharged. We called and tried to speak to a manager there, regarding the discrepancy for either a partial refund for the difference or some sort of comp, we never got to speak to a manager the lady put us on hold after explaining why we needed a manager for 23 minutes before we decided to hangup. We tried to call back and no one was answering after that... like they didn't want to deal or help us.. Truly unprofessional and unacceptable. I don't think we will be back, due to their customer service and lack of support. We are better off ordering from lancaster blvd and paying 15$ to $20 for our meals than to be overcharged and treated poorly after that. My co workers and I came here all the time for lunches. I ask for well done fries for all of us. I ordered a BLT today and asked for well done fries because if not then they are soggy/limp fries. I get back to work with everyone's orders. None of the fries are well done. Have a ton of grease and are soggy and I didnt even get a full bag. This has happened 3 times lately. I usually love Primo Burger (at least the 10th St W and Quartz Hill locations), but today our 2 orders of fried zucchini were so bad we had to throw them out. At $7 each we were not happy. The zucchini was cut so thin you were eating mostly breading and what you did eat was chewy. Disgusting. Will never return to this Primo. read more
