The GOOD: Super friendly service by the owner's son in law. He gave us recommendations and told us his favorites. The place is bright and clean and comfortable in the 100 degree weather. The loaded nachos were piled high. The breakfast my son ordered looked good and plentiful. The BAD: The Pepsi free had no carbonation and tasted like it had too much syrup. My son said his coffee tasted old (It was after 11:00 a.m. and could have been left over from breakfast). He also said the toast was not buttered and there was no jelly on the table. We could have asked for some but the gentleman at the counter was overwhelmed. There was no one to help him in the front of the restaurant. There was a large line of people for him to take orders from. As food got done it was left to sit on the counter until he could break away to deliver it. The food would have been much better had we received it when it was hot. My loaded nachos had congealed cheese although it did have a large amount of carne asada, chopped tomato, guacamole, and a sprinkling of cilantro. My husband's comment on his hamburger combo was that it was the same as what he could get at Louis Burgers or Doublez (which shares the parking lot with Rusty's)

    Pozole

This was a nice find today, we were looking for a close spot to my folks house that served pozole, my brother recalled a restaurant nearby where he enjoyed the Mexican food, as we walked up to the place he noticed that the business had changed ownership, we decided to give it a try. We were greeted immediately by the friendly staff. The interior is a work in progress as the new owners are working to update and situate their new restaurant. They have a large seating area that can accommodate an army. We were impressed with the large menu options of traditional Mexican dishes, tacos, burritos, soups and so one. We were there to try the pozole, so happy they had some fresh pozole, my brother ordered the Chimichanga. Both had great flavor and food quality was very high. Being hispanic we quickly gauge the good quality against our moms, you know from the first bite when it's legit, Rusty's is legit. The pozole had nice chunks of meat, great seasoning, served with plenty of onions, cabbage, cilantro and radishes, the meal also comes with an ample side of tortilla chips that looked and tasted homemade. I ordered the small portion, thankfully I did verses the large the small portion was perfect. You can also ask for their home made salsas, from low spice level to extra spicy to your liking. My brothers Chimichanga was huge but one great difference was the amount of food within the Chimichanga, it was packed with beans and Carnitas, you can order it with any type of meat, you will not be dissapointed, its is also served with guacamole and sour cream. We are looking forward to our next meal to sample some of the other menu options.

Very nice service ! And Mimosa ! They have beer and wine right now and a Happy Hour ! They are working on the license so will eventually have margaritas! Got my food to go so I haven't tried the burritos yet!

    Taco box

The taco box of 10 to me was worth it. The staff and the vibe was cool too. The box came with 10 crunchy tacos with chips and salsa. Can probably feed 2 easily with an appetite. Try it if you get a chance. The place still needs some interior make up but a good spot for sure

Chicken flautas and hard shell tacos

Food was great!! We got crunchy tacos that were fried to perfection, weren't greasy or over fried the ground beef and the chicken was packed with flavor. Also got two chicken flautas again fried just right. The staff all were friendly and attentive, coming by to ask if we needed refills on drinks or anything else. Will be back!

First off, the hash browns are really crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. I love hash browns and this one did not disappoint. I got a breakfast combo with eggs, avocado, ham and cinnamon French toast with strawberries and bananas. I thought the ham was going to be Canadian bacon but it was a big piece of ham. I didn't like the ham, but everything else was delicious. Their cinnamon French toast is made in like a cinnamon roll which was really good! The banana French toast was also a hit! Fluffy and sweet deliciousness! I forgot to take a picture, but we also got the pancakes with a side of strawberries and Nutella. All the food was homestyle comfort food that was simply delicious! The food options are many, from Mexican classics, Burgers, Sandwiches and many other options. The meals are all made to your liking without any pushback around extra costs. The food quality was very high, I ordered the Huevos Rancheros, they were very authentic with a tomato sauce and sauteed onions and peppers, not spicy but I did ask for their home salsa and it brought up the spice level, the dish is served with homemade rice and beans, all well cooked. I also ordered a side of pancakes and bacon for my dad and they were perfectly cooked. The cost of the meal was very reasonable and worth the visit. I have shared my experience with my friends and family in Lancaster.

Got the mixed platter with extra sauce and a Smash Burger with potato wedges. The mix platter was pretty good, yellow rice, flavorful chicken and some lamb. The hot sauce has like a Smokey flavor or something, I'll probably ask for it on the side next time but overall it was good. The burger was bomb, the meat had a bit of crisp on it, and the flavors were perfect. Also got the Superman and it was sweet af, I couldn't do it lol but I can see why people like the fruit punch/lemonade mix. Service was outstanding, everyone was nice and attentive. The guy let me try their secret sauce that was also good. It's a small spot so standing room only, order ahead and pick it up, they get packed during rush.

Definitely order the home fries over hash browns, they are well seasoned crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. So delicious don't skip! The garden burger was also so delicious the patty is made of like oats and mushrooms and one more ingredient that I can't remember right now but it was superb! Definitely one of the best veggie burgers I have had! Top 5 for sure. Now the reason they didn't get 5 stars. The side of fruit that I ordered and two other plates on the table came with, wasn't fresh. It looked a day or a few days old. Only the melon was decent enough to eat. Next is more of a suggestion. I understand it's a diner but I feel like all restaurants/diners/cafes should have alternative milks such as oat, soy or almond milk. Because I asked for a cold brew but I had to drink it black due to the lack of alternative milks. Which was fine but I can't be the only person that has that suggestion. Overall Katz n' jammers cafe was a cute diner with 50s nostalgia on the walls and fair prices for good food!

Since it was our first visit, we walked up to the bar and explained that we're not IPA fans and asked if we could sample a few beers. The staff was super friendly and happy to let us try different options. We ended up really liking the Waterfront Lager and ordered micheladas. Their michelada mix is AMAZING. The Palmdale location is drinks only (no food), but the atmosphere and service made for a really fun night. Fast forward to yesterday. My husband and I had a date night and remembered how much we liked the beer, so we decided to check out the Lancaster location since they also serve food. When we walked in, the place was packed and there were only two girls working the entire floor. Even though they were clearly super busy, they were still very friendly and upfront that there would be about a 15-minute wait for a table. We appreciated the honesty, so we waited patiently and eventually got seated. We found out that the Lancaster location doesn't always have the same beers as the Palmdale brewery location, so unfortunately they didn't have the Waterfront Lager we loved. We were a little bummed, but our waitress gladly brought us samples so we could find something else we liked. We ended up ordering a lighter blonde beer since many of the others were too hoppy for our taste. We also tried their handmade mango and pineapple micheladas and WOW! both were so good. The food was delicious too. We ordered the totchos (loaded tator tots), 6-piece hot wings, and the Asian sliders. Everything came out fresh and flavorful. Even though they were slammed busy, the waitresses continued checking on us regularly throughout the night. Overall, it ended up being a really great date night. The ambiance is casual, fun, and welcoming, and both locations gave us excellent service. Lucky Luke is definitely going to become one of our regular date night spots moving forward!
