I can't say enough good things about Rancheritas Mexican Grill! I ordered the wet asada burrito, and it was hands down one of the best burritos I've ever had. The steak was perfectly seasoned, tender, and packed with flavor. The burrito was smothered in delicious sauce, topped with melted cheese, and cooked to perfection. Every bite was incredible. The portions are generous, the ingredients tasted fresh, and you can tell they put a lot of care into the food. The homemade flavors really stand out, and everything was hot and served quickly. The staff was friendly and welcoming, making the whole experience even better. If you're looking for authentic Mexican food that's full of flavor and worth every penny, this is the place to go. I'll definitely be coming back to try more of the menu, but the wet asada burrito has already earned a permanent spot on my favorites list. Highly recommend! read more

I was really craving tacos, so I decided to try this place out. I ordered 4 queso birria tacos and 1 mixed carnitas taco with no onion. Unfortunately, the order came out wrong initially because the mixed carnitas taco had onion on it. However, the lady apologized for the error and replaced the taco right away, which I appreciated. As for the food, the queso birria tacos were just okay. They were a bit bland, needed more depth of flavor, and definitely needed more meat and cheese inside. The accompanying consomé was also lacking flavor. The mixed carnitas taco on a handmade tortilla was alright, but the meat was a little dry and the sauce on the tortilla leaned a bit salty. On the bright side, the cucumber pineapple refresco was very good and incredibly refreshing! The restaurant itself has limited seating with simple decor. While it's definitely not the best Mexican food I've ever had to satisfy a craving, it passes if you need a quick bite. read more

Im obsessed with the large asada tacos because the meat is well seasoned, finely chopped, nicely charred, super tender, and almost never has any chewy fat or gristle. The food is ready super fast, the staff is nice, the salsa is great, and the hand made tortillas are amazing! read more

This was a perfect authentic Mexican spot in Lancaster. It's tucked away within the plaza but the food is excellent. I had two tacos, one with an amazing flavored carnitas that they chopped up in front of us, added onions and cilantro, served with a nice green salsa or a hot red salsa. The portions are big to fill the large size hand made tortillas. They have many other Mexican favorites, you can also order tortillas or masa. The most impressive part is the high quality of the meat, you can also buy it by the pound or setup an in home catering event. The staff was extremely friendly and the interior was clean. read more

Authentic and delicious small hole in the wall. Really good asada my go to for Mexican food in the AV

Best Michoacán style carnitas in AV. The mixtape carnitas are amazing. Friendly family service.

Asada fries are fire here. I had the mulitas and will not order that again. But the carnitas fries and the asada fries is a must. The fries stay crispy and the meat is juicy. The portions of the asada fries are a good amount for what you pay. I will always go here whenever we crave asada fries for sure read more

I discovered Rancheritas Mexican Grill a few years ago, and I've been a loyal customer ever since. Their Carnitas are hands down the best in town--if you're a fan of perfectly cooked, flavorful pork, you have to try them mixed for the full experience. What really sets this place apart is the hand-made tortillas, which bring that authentic, homemade touch to every meal. Plus, knowing that the owner is one of the cooks means there's an extra level of care and pride put into every dish, and you can taste the difference. While there's no table service--it's a casual walk-in, order-at-the-counter kind of place--don't let that fool you. The food more than makes up for the simple setup. Once your order is ready, they'll call your name, and you can dive into some of the best Mexican food around. If you appreciate quality, authenticity, and a personal touch in your food, Rancheritas is a spot you'll want to keep coming back to! read more

One of the mothers in my twins preschool class who is Mexican recommended Rancheritas Mexican Grill. She said she loves their birria! I've come here twice and this is my new place to go for Mexican! The owners are friendly and the food is delicious! They are very understanding to any special requests!! Their birria and carnitas is great! Their queso birria tacos with the consumme is delicious as well as they're chile rellenos! I had a breakfast burrito with chorizo, eggs and refried beans and it was delicious!! Homemade tortillas are great and they give you a nice amount of meat. Great beans and rice is a staple for Mexican food along with great salsa! Their food is always fresh and look at their cilantro and onion... they chop it fresh every morning! Definitely will keep coming back and I highly recommend them!! read more

Coming from Long Beach I thought the food was good but kind of overpriced. I got the all meat burrito and my girlfriend got the carnitas plate, it was about $48 with tip, pretty expensive imo. I thought the service was really good though, the person who took my order was kind and patient but there was one thing that stood out. While we were eating, my eyes became really irritated but I thought that was due to my meal or something, but my girlfriend said her eyes were hurting too. We believe that because we sat close to the cooking station, the smell of onions was really close which was irritating us throughout the whole meal. I probably wouldn't go back but it was nice to try. read more

I was hungry and craving tacos, so I Yelped tacos and saw the great reviews for this restaurant. I was not disappointed. I ordered a birria taco and 2 queso tacos, and they were so delicious! I also ordered the cucumber drink, which was refreshing on this hot day. I will definitely return when I need my taco fix. Lizbeth took my phone order and she was the nicest and sweetest in-person: very genuine and kind. Thank you again! read more

Quesabirria tacos and burritos were amazing. Aguas frescas were delicious & service was excellent.

Their food is very dry and the amount is too much. The price is ridiculous. they let you think that it's a certain type of food but when you asked to try it, oh it's just not good. read more

Tried this place for the first time, this passed Friday. We tried the Birria tacos (Homemade tortillas) Carne Asada burrito and enchiladas. We loved everything. I'm a certified foodie. I want flavor in everything. The meats in each item alone are delicious. Some places neglect the flavor in their rice and beans, not this place. Presentation, flavor, and friendly service. We definitely be visiting again sooner that later. It's tucked away in Valley Central but so worth the find. Almost forgot about the Agua Fresca, cucumber read more

I had been wanting to try this place, based on the reviews and I pass by this area a lot. I ordered a regular burrito ($9.50), shrimp ceviche ($4.99), and a large horchata ($3.50). The shrimp ceviche lacked citrus, and something just didn't taste right. It tasted and looked old. The burrito, when I would bring it close to take a bite, all I could smell and taste was Burnt. After another bite, I saw the tortilla was burnt in many places. That's all I could taste. I just couldn't eat it. I don't know if it was the burnt tortilla, or the meat, rice & beans, but none of that burrito tasted right. The horchata was just ok. Very disappointed with everything. I couldn't eat it. I'm very concerned about where all the five star reviews are coming from. Looking for good Mexican food? Go to Tortilla Grill on W. Ave L & 30th. read more

O........M........G!!!! Wow! I went here for the first time, on Saturday, 3/8/25, after looking online for a Mexican eatery that was highly rated and had a 4-5 star rating AND recent good reviews on YELP. I usually don't go to any Mexican eateries because I've just grown tired of eating tacos/burritos/rice & beans/etc here in CA, since it seems that's all anyone ever eats around here. That's why BBQ places are rare and usually don't stay in business for very long in CA. Way too much competition with the over 3,750+ Mexican eateries just in Southern CA alone! Too many taco places competing against each other. No kidding. Anyway, I like to try all different kinds of foods, instead of eating tacos/burritos/rice & beans every day/week/month. So I had a craving for something spicy and hot for lunch, like maybe an order of Molcajete, so I decided to go to Rancheritas after reading their recent reviews and looking at the pictures of their food. Boy was I glad I did! As soon as I walking into the place, I was immediately greeted by the girl and 2 guys (owners?) working behind the counter. I stared at the menu board for too long, and one of the guys noticed and asked me if it was my first time there, I said it was my first time there and that I kinda didn't know what to order, but I did say that the pictures of their food that I saw on YELP looked good, and so I asked them about the queso birria tacos. Long story short, I ended up trying a couple of their queso birria tacos and a couple of their taco grandes with pork carnitas for the meat. OMG! All I can say is that all their food was FULL of flavors!!!! Not bland like most all of the food from other places. And I told them so. Those tacos were packed full of meat. While I was eating the queso birria tacos, I asked them if they had menudo, since I didn't notice it or see it on the menu board. I was surprised when one of the guys said that they do have menudo, and they serve it every day! :-) When I heard him say that they serve it every day, well I just had to try a bowl of their menudo before I left. So I ordered a bowl of their menudo and I was surprised again. There were BIG pieces of tripe in it, which I like more than the hominy. Great flavor too. So I took my time savoring each piece of tripe, trying to make it last a while, until there was no more. My wife came home from an out-of-town trip and I told her how good all the food was at Rancheritas and told here that I'll have to take here there for lunch next weekend. On my way out, I thanked the guys and gal for the excellent food, told them again how good it all tasted, and told them that I'd be giving them a good review on YELP. So if you want to have some excellent Mexican food that tastes way better and flavorful than all the other usual bland tasting tacos and burritos that you get at most all the other places in CA, then definitely go to RANCHERITAS!!! You'll be glad you did. :-). Great service, food came out fast, the place was clean, and all the food is excellent! read more
