Fool me for the good reviews. Food was not authentic as i expected. Very high over priced for what we order. We decided to eat outside on our truck bed but due to the smell of the trash can or the dumping of waste food that the crow were eating next to the trash bin we decide to go. As the menudo got colder it was super greasy and stinky. We also got some birria tacos with tortilla and when they arrived it burly had any meat it was so disappointing for paying so high dollars on a taco with no meat! The plate of soup of birria the taste was dull not that much meat either for the price. While we stay for a while a dam 18 wheeler truck drove in spreading a bunch of dust that got all over our soup not their fault but they should be sign for this dam driver to slow down so customer can eat outside since is a very small place and the tables were occupied we didn't have a choice but to eat outside. We won't eat here again due to the cost and environment. We saw other customer drinking beer outside and tossing the bottles on the floor. Having a big green trash can there for them to walk and properly disposing it. Over all price are to high for a authentic Mexican food. We expend over $96 dls for 2 adult and a child. This restaurant has two locations and I personally like this location the best. This place has a more traditional family vibe felt like I was home with my Tia's, mother and abuela in the kitchen. The service is amazing and food is delicious. The other location was to corporate and extremely rude and unprofessional. The only downside is this place is cash only and the seating is limited inside. Get your cash ready prior to arriving. The parking is dirt so when it's windy expect dust or raining expect mud but very spacious even for even trucker to park. This place tends to get busy so be prepared to wait; worth it! This building looks like a shack and a bit run down but this is definitely a diamond in the rough. They serve homemade tortillas and let me say it was definitely delicious. Bet you can't just order one serving? 3 nice size tortillas per serving very authentic Mexican food, reminded me of Aguascalientes, Mexico. I would honestly say if going off the various recommendations of either for or against this place to each their own. I personally recommend based off my the family experiences who have been coming here for years and current visit. I would say come in and try it for yourself it's definitely worth it. Lots of recommendations everyone commenting can be be valid and some nitpicking. Either way I hope the owners capitalize on some of these recommendations e.g. placing an ATM here more money for the business as customers might not to return and risk finding another place to dine. read more

The carnitas are excellent here. We also tired the menudo here and it had a flavor like home. Price is a bit high but the flavor makes up for it. La Palma is one of my favorite places to eat now when I'm craving tacos do I feel their prices are a little overpriced for what you get Yes I do but the food is worth it do I think the service can be a little bit better Yes I do but again the food is worth it. So I stand corrected on my first review and I would like to give them three stars and state that we have gone back over and over again The only thing I wish they would do and take notices not to make such a spicy salsa maybe have a second salsa for people who can't do too much spice. read more

Delicious!!! We went on a Sunday mid morning. There was a line to get in. People were mostly taking to-go orders. It was PACKED! The eating area is small and you just have to find an empty spot at a table, even if it's with strangers. The customer service was AMAZING. Once we finally ordered, the food came out pretty quickly. Another good sign for me is the type of customers you attract. Everyone was so pleasant and friendly. Really felt like a family establishment. It is CASH ONLY and was kinda pricy. We got 2 large menudos, 4 tacos of each Asada, Pastor, Carnitas, 2 large Mexican cokes, and an horchata for $85, but so worth it. EVERYTHING WAS SOOOOOO GOOOD!!!! This place is deceiving. At a first glance this place looks a bit (for lack of a better words) run down... but don't be fooled by the exterior. They have some great food here. I've only had a few dishes here (Menudo, various Tacos & Chicharon) & they were all delicious. If you like Carnitas, Chicharon, Buche & Menudo, this place should be on your hit list. The "only" reason I am giving this place 4 stars & not 5 is because they only take cash (not the problem) but because of this reason they don't make your order until you get there & pay for it. THE REAL DEAL! We found this 4 1/2 star rated Taqueria on yelp. Figured, how could so many people be wrong. They weren't! We were greeted by a very pleasant woman, who spoke only Spanish. But that's OK, because I'm learning Spanish and she was very patient with me. We ordered: carne asada tacos, Carnitas tacos, and a special one that she recommended, the chicaron rojo palma. Just a random taco shop off Pearblossom highway. As usual scoped out yelp and this place had higher ratings with good reviews, so I'm here to add to that. We had the carne asada and Al Pastor. They are street sized on 2 corn tortillas, with great portions of meat, topped with onions cilantro, salsas and side of a lime. At about $1.85 a piece it's a great value. We also ordered the OG coca cola with real sugar *note these bottles are 500ml, so share! The location is very old, and looks more like a house, but don't let that side track you for tacos! Plenty of parking in the lot next to it, and big yellow sign with red text you can't miss. The lady was super friendly and helpful as well. Definitely would stop by again in our travels! read more
