Shrimp cocktail and shrimp tacos
Grace M.

Pleasant surprise! Food was delicious and came quickly. The staff was friendly and the restaurant was clean.

This little gem in Palmdale was great. The ambience was great for family meals. The michelada was savory, salty and the right amount of spice. The ceviche verde was delicious like the shrimp was 6 from the ocean just before prepared. The flan was rich and creamy. The service was very attentive and gave great suggestions.

We had the pleasure of returning to try their Menudo. The broth was clean, what I mean is that it was not greasy and the menudo did not have that terrible aftertaste that some other places have trouble removing. Their menudo includes hominy and I was able to distinguish the ingredients used in this hearty broth. The meal came with what I like to call "the works" (oregano, diced onion, cilantro, and roasted chile de arbol) and tortillas. At first sight, the bowl didn't appear to be big, but while eating, it felt like I wasn't even putting a dent in it. It felt like the bowl that keeps on giving and it took awhile to get to the bottom of it. The best way I can describe it is comfort and satisfaction in a bowl.

Came here for first time and the place did not disappoint. All of our food was great. Service was fast and attentive. The place has a cool vibe to it. Will definitely come back to try out the rest of their dishes.

Camarones A la diabla

Wow this amazes me that they charge $20.00 for this ala diabla plate of food. Only 6 shrimps it's a rip off. Beside the food being cold and getting my order wrong I won't be coming here again.

3.5 I had the camarones a la diabla, didn't like them, the tomato flavor is overpowering and only had 6 shrimps in it. Also tried the aguachiles, those were better, came with 8 shrimps. The fajitas were decent, but they only bring you 2 tortillas, 3 shrimps. The cocktails were good, the small one came with 6 shrimps and large with 7 shrimps. I also tried the salmon, wasn't very flavorful, just tasted like fish, needed seasoning. Some of the plates needed salt so we added salt to the aguachile and cocktails, but it's better then it being salty. The fajitas were a bit salty. The flan was way to sweet, it was creamy but way to sweet. Hibiscus water was good. The drinks were ok, michelada and mango margarita. Current Menu prices on pictures below. The place is decent, good vibes. The restrooms were smelly and place needs a remodel or better cleaning, since theres food stains on the walls and so. Wait time on a Sunday was about 70-80minutes for group of 8. 2 groups were sat after us and they were served before us.

Was passing through and wanted a burrito and was about to go to Carl's Jr when I spotted this place. As soon as I walked in I immediately loved the smell and the look! I hate to use the word "authentic" so I'll just say this place is real! So, first impression was good. Next I found out they use chicken breast in the burritos...another great thing to know! I only eat chicken breast so this made me super happy! Then I got my food and I loved it! I'm a simple dude so I don't like wet burritos, so a basic burrito as big as my face is what I like. Great place!

We ordered a regular and a tamarindo margaritas. They were a jumbo size and very refreshing. The meat molcajete was very delicious. The meat, chicken and shrimp were very tender and fresh. It also came with nopales, cebollinos, queso fresco, guac and beans - tortillas. The place was nice and clean, looks more like sports bar with plenty TVs but it was not loud. The server was very pleasant and courteous.

Menudo with all the toppings they provided. 10/10 recommend.

Ordered the menudo. I'm mostly picky about ordering menudo at restaurants but this place didn't disappoint. The menudo was clean. No weird taste. They added all the necessary toppings and I had a pick up order. I liked that they add a side of chips and salsa. The order came with your choice of flower or corn tortillas. Toppings of limes, salt, oregano, Chile de Arbol and onion/cilantro. All for $16. I've had other items on their menu and I can trust this place with providing great service and food quality.

The food was just fine, but they could've turned the air conditioner on when it's 83° outside.

Menudo was mid, not very flavorful. Staff was nice but they charged $9 for a side of chorizo. Literally cost more than our coffees. Insane

This bright restaurant certainly fit that description! We were impressed by the Hawaiian feel and decor right from the start. We were welcomed so warmly by the young manager and his staff. He explained the menu and some of the options and also that Thursday was a discount day if you ordered a dish that featured chicken as the main protein, because it was Thursday. My partner chose a chicken bowl on a bed of coconut rice (12.99) and I chose the combination chicken breast and shredded luau pork plate (17.99) also with coconut rice, and a delightful mix of sautéed broccoli florets, diced zucchini, onion, and finally shredded carrots. There were four accompanying sauces to sample. I liked a combination of the spicy teriyaki with the pineapple teriyaki. The Sriracha was too hot for me because I'm a wimp when it comes to hot things, and I just didn't love their peanut sauce very much. I think the recipe could be reworked. But I liked that they offered peanut sauce as an option! They also served us a tasty Hawaiian style macaroni salad made with cavatappi pasta. Portions were large, and I love their presentation for dining in, especially the angled bowls. Even their take-home was in high-quality reusable plastic containers , showing the care they gave for even the smaller details. Dessert options include an individual pineapple upside down cake (4.99) and choice of large size chocolate chunk or salted caramel cookies (2.99). There was a serve yourself drink station. Because my partner had the chicken protein he was gifted a free drink. They have locations also in Simi Valley and in Ventura city. The Palmdale location has been opened already for 17 years! We plan to come back here again for certain the next time we're in Palmdale. Plenty of free parking as it's part of a large shopping area, but easily seen from the street. So in short, this was a great find!

I've come here for years, and the food is always great!! A few of my faves, the macaroni salad, pulled pork sandwich, chicken bowl with coconut rice or noodles, Caesar salad... my husband has had a few of the seafood dishes and he's never been disappointed either. The service is always excellent, everybody is nice, so welcoming right away, and the food is always incredibly fast. I mean, I'm able to come here on a 30 minute break, get my food and eat, and still have half of my break left. The outdoor patio, and inside seating is comfortable, clean, and well kept. One of my favorite places to go!

THE RESTAURANT explicitly stated ON THEIR WEBSITE that the chips are gluten free AND NO MODIFICATIONS ARE REQUIRED. !!THEY ARE NOT!!! This is EXTREMELY important for people with celiacs and gluten allergies to know. They are fried in a shared frier and therefore heavily cross contaminated. They will not be safe for any level of gluten intolerance. My husband brings them out and says, "did you order the chips for you? They said they're fried in a shared frier." WTF?! It says online that they're gluten free! We paid $6 for these to go in the trash. We went in to try to resolve the issue and they simply re-verified that the restaurant is falsifying information on their website and said nobody else is there to deal with it. At the very least we should've been given a refund without question. Absolutely INSANE. I'm not even 15 minutes down the road yet but had I eaten these I would already be on the phone with a personal injury attorney who is a client of mine.

First they forgot my side of poblano queso but as I took my order to go I didn't realize until after I had gotten home. The burrito was decently filled but really there was so little fish in comparison to the rice and beans it made it a little disappointing, I wouldn't get it again. The taquito was the shiny star here, soft but crisp at the same time and with a great flavor! If I were to come back I would order the taquito entree. The mini churros were okay, not great but not bad. I also had a side of guac and a few salsas. Overall really bland flavors across the board, the salsas labeled as spicy had no spice to them. The fire roasted and the chipotle crema (extra charge) were the only 2 of the 7 condiments I tried that I would get again. If I'm craving great taquitos I will be back otherwise I didn't find this spot one that is worth the visit.

The food quality is spectacular! I always get the Baracoa Cubano sandwich and it never disappoints. The ingredients are fresh and organic with each dish I've ordered. Since I have allergies to ingredients used to preserve frozen food, it's always been so hard finding a restaurant with a menu that doesn't cause me issues--and Baracoa has never compromised with their ingredients! The organic quality of their food is something you'll taste on your first bite. And finally--the service is impeccable and I have yet to see such excellent hospitality at any restaurant I've visited, even in Los Angeles! The waiters are always kind, attentive, and energetic with their behavior and service. It's very easy to tell they love the work they do and it shows in their work ethic. In addition to that, the managers are always making sure we're having an excellent night and have transformed it to a level of service we've never seen! My parents and I went a week ago and talked to Daniel the Manager about how much we missed a Piña Colada from a closed restaurant which would make it in the pineapple itself--and he said if we promised to be there in a week he's make it himself. We came on Friday, and the joy that my family felt was palpable when Daniel came out with the drinks we've wished for years now since that restaurant closed! Honestly, I've never heard of someone caring for their guests so much to do that--truly everyone should visit this establishment and experience true fine dining. I don't think I'll ever eat anywhere else for a special occasion ever again.
