Well I have to leave an honest review and as much as i used to like eating here when I visit the Antelope Valley I probably will not be back. We walked into a completely empty restaurant, sat ourselves down and waited to be greeted. The waitress came to us a few minutes later, she seemed angry (well it was 3pm and yes they close at 4 so we felt like she didn't want us there).. The food was ok but I hate when establishments don't have the prices on the menu. It's a shame the waitress was so cold with us, I'm big on customer service and because of her attitude we will not be back. I found out her name was Bertha. So I say this to Bertha and management, we as customers like to be treated nicely. If someone is not happy with what they are doing then they need not to be working directly with people. I will now take my business elsewhere.

This is my favorite mom & pop restaurant, and owned by The Perez Family for about 20 yrs. I've tried half of the menu, and all were delicious. The restaurant is always clean and spotless with great ambiance, and the table servers are always friendly with great customer service

Had breakfast here with family and it was decent, menudo was plenty and tasted good. The shrimp cocktail did curb my craving but have had way better. Service was great and place is clean. Plenty of private parking.

When we first walked in we were greeted by a very nice woman who asked us to sit wherever we'd like. When she brought menus i had to ask her.. Were you painting your nails?? There was such a strong sent on nail polish. She smiled and explained that the nail salon next door and her business share vents. After a while, the smell of nail polish starting to burn my nose. All of that went out the window when my friend came. I ordered the number five (Mikes Plate) which came with two enchiladas, a taco and rice and beans. These werent ordinary enchiladas and tacos the Durango Tex Mex style of cooking deep fries all the tortillas that they use which made for a fantastic tasting place. They also use a much darker and enchilada sauce that i wanted to smother on everything. The rice and beans were also very good. Kind of sad I let the taco sit in the beans too long and the bottom became soggy. Still a decent tasting taco. Every time I go to a new Mexican restaurant I like to try the michelada. This one definitely isn't anything to brag about. The mix was way too thick and dark and kind of warm so took away the good cold taste taste of the beer. All in all the food and service was great, we will be back!

The wet burrito looked just like the pictures you see on Yelp. We tried the wet green burritio tried the beef soup(Caldo de res). Both were excellent! This place is cozy, next to my nail salon, so is perfect for me. I recommend this restaurant.

If you want authentic Mexican food, this is the place! Everything was packed with flavor the tacos were amazing, and the chile relleno was delicious (just needed a quick reheat, which the owner happily took care of). The green tomatillo sauce had the perfect kick of spice, just how I like it. Service was excellent, prices were super reasonable, and the portions were generous. Definitely adding this to my list of regular spots! read more

Went here for lunch yesterday , I got a asada burrito & my friend got a breakfast burrito. Tortillas , beans and everything was delicious. Service was quick and friendly. Will definitely be coming back. read more

The service was terrible. We had to ask for salsa. There was no chips and we had to ask for refills and more water. The food was mediocre but for $80 for three people not worth a deal I would not recommend this place at all should've just went somewhere else read more

This location has been in Lancaster for over 20 years. The Perez family have dedicated their lives to this establishment. All while providing some of the most authentic Mexican Food in the AV Area. This is a hidden Gem that does not get the true attention and credit it deserves. The restaurant offers a variety of traditional plates, catering and specialties. The servers are attentive and caring. The food is delicious and affordable compared to other similar restaurants. You have to try the Molcajete and Menudo. Homemade tortillas on weekends. I have been a customer since 2015. Still go there at least three times a week. Enjoy. read more

This place is still pure awesomeness! Just finished a Macho Burrito adding chorizo to the filling and it is still the bomb go to burrito in the AV! Do not pass up this place for food, service, and quality! I'm goin back soon!!! read more

Really nice staff! I really appreciate the friendly service here. They have a great menu, and the server was helpful in making a few suggestions for me. Also, they were running a two beers for $5 special! One thing I especially like is that they have a mini menu for lighter appetites. I ordered a chicken burrito, which was ready in a remarkably short period of time. It seemed good at first. Then I realized the chicken was cold. But otherwise, it was pretty tasty. Oh, maybe that's why my order was ready so fast. I'm sure they will get the hang of things soon, and they certainly deserve a second try. Just be careful to not serve cold food to the customer. read more

If I could rate lower I would The owner Raquel and her husband Miguel are disgusting individual!! Not only are they rude to customers without shame, but to their employees (in front of customers!) as well. Employees feel terrible when they are told reuse the previous customers "untouched" chips from their chips and salsa appetizer to be used with a new customer. They dont care for expiration dates!!! If it "looks good" its sent out. BEWARE!!!! read more

The chips tasted homemade but Mr. Picky wasn't a fan, although he did like the salsa (mild red). The sauce for the taco was dark and smokey. The chili con cueso sauce on the chili relleno was good, but I might have preferred a little more flavor punch on that and the cheese enchilada. He liked the beans and I liked the rice when I mixed it with other sauces on the plate. He rates it "3" but I think I'd bump it higher. I think the food was a "3.5", but the nice waitress and clean environment result in the jump to "4". I'd love to try the Molcajete but I'm not sure I can drag Mr. Picky back again. Pity... read more

Very good! Tried this place last night and a food was great. I got the #1 but without the beef taco. The chili relleno was amazing. I'd go back just for that. Their Spanish rice is surprisingly good! It has a very casual atmosphere. The service wasn't great. I would have given them 5 stars if it wasn't for that. read more

Tasty, authentic, and obviously family-run, Mi Durango has been around for a long time owing to the care and quality that they put into each dish. Personally, I like the durango tacos (durango is a kind of meat), the entomadas (like of an enchilada but with some peppers and onions on top) and if I'm feeling indulgent, the chile relleno. read more

Mi Durango may not look like much in the outside, but looks are deceiving! Great little place to grab some excellent Mexican food. #21, The Molcajete, was simply amazing. If nothing else you should stop by just for this dish alone. The spices are wonderful in the dish, nice heat with a smoky flavor. Be sure you are hungry though before you order! My wife tried the #1 and she gave it two thumbs up, especially the taco. I tried the green sauce and it tasted great. The #1 came with a side of a dark salsa, very unique with a slow heat, it may not be for everyone. Stop by and try out Mi Domingo, you may be sad if you don't. read more

I've been wanting to come to this place but never had a chance to do so. So after being in the hospital for a week I was craving Mexican food and I told my wife to dive in. Food was okay but not flavorful enough. I had chilaquiles verde con huevos and it wasn't what I expected, my wife had huevos rancheros, she requested that they had no chiles and guess what, it had chiles...wife said the same ; it needs flavor.....this is just my opinion... read more

Just stopped in to grab a quick bite and was super glad that I did. I had the shrimp enchiladas and they were good, the portion size was excellent because I'm super full. But what really made this place great was the friendliness of the people. I was by myself today and sat at the bar to watch a soccer game and the owner's husband came and chatted with me and I just felt so welcome. It was like hanging out at a friend's house with good food, a good game, and good company. read more

I like this place. I always get take-out, but I do like the feel of the place. The food tastes a bit like home, which is what I was looking for. I get the senior plate for me and my folks because they are, well, seniors and it's just the right items and just the right amount of food. Please add chips and chili con queso as a side. That would just make it perfect! read more

Went here after church and got the green chilaquiles and everything about it was bomb. They weren't spicy to where I couldn't enjoy it. They had enough crunch and softness that it was still a chip but comfortable to eat. The beans taste amazing and I found it weird at first to have bacon on the plate but it complimented the chilaquiles. Found our new go to after church. The owners are really nice and they had clean bathrooms which matters to me when I have toddlers always needing to use the bathroom. read more

I stopped by for a carnitas burrito to go and I the service was great and the place is nice. I was disappointed with the burrito, it had very little meat and the flavor of the carnitas was weak, and it cost $10. A burritos shouldn't cost $10, but if it does, then the amount of food should back it up, unfortunately this burrito did not. read more

First time here I have been passing by this spot for years I use to work up the street I never tried them and now that I have I regret I didn't sooner, my menudo was ok I have had better but my wife's food was bomb not to mention the homemade corn tortillas wow such a treat. read more

Please the pic! But note my mother who's currently sick said her Albondigas soup tasted ok to her. Let just say for the $$ I spent I am very unhappy!! The food quality was very high, I ordered the Huevos Rancheros, they were very authentic with a tomato sauce and sauteed onions and peppers, not spicy but I did ask for their home salsa and it brought up the spice level, the dish is served with homemade rice and beans, all well cooked. I also ordered a side of pancakes and bacon for my dad and they were perfectly cooked. The cost of the meal was very reasonable and worth the visit. I have shared my experience with my friends and family in Lancaster.

As others have stated Mi Durango is located in a strip mall and you will drive right past without seeing it unless you are looking for it. Nondescript on the outside but quite pleasant and warm on the inside considering its strip mall location. There are booths along the walls and tables down the center with seating for about 45 if I had to guess. I seated myself and the waitress was over right away with a menu, I ordered the "Mi Durango Special" which consists of One Cheese Chili Relleno with Chili Con Queso, One Atotonilco Taco, One Cheese Enchilada, Rice & Beans. For the beverage I ordered a jamaica. My drink was brought to me right away and after a short wait the waitress was back with my lunch. The food was presented on two plates with the taco on a separate small plate and everything else on a larger platter. This was a lot of food and I could have brought half of it home for later but it was so good I finished it all right there. The waitress checked up on me a couple of times and came over when she noticed my drink was almost gone and asked if I needed a refill. In conclusion, the food and service were top notch and you would be doing yourself a disservice if you didn't stop by and give Mi Durango a try! read more

If you want to go somewhere and have terrible customer service, then this is the place for you. The owners son has no idea how to treat customers. It's actually kinda sad for his mom who worked hard to build this restaurant into something profitable. However, if you let scum run your business, then you have to be ready to bear the consequences. Wine, Fajita with cold salad and people you like to hang with around is possible at Mi Durango Tex-Mex. They are by far the excellent Mexican food providers. I can go gaga about them for their amazing dishes, presentation and the taste. Even the charges are reasonable.
