Food was good! Didn't get extra napkins though and normally they don't charge for me for soda water but now the manager Ben said it's basically sprite so they charge it as a sprite.

    Moons Over My Hammy
    Bernadette C.

Came here on a Friday night with a party of 5 and it wasn't too crazy or busy at this time. I forgot the name of our waitress but she was just the sweetest! We were seated right away since they weren't very busy. I ordered a Moons over my Hammy because that's always been a favorite of mine. Others ordered an omelette, chicken tenders, and 2 "build your own samplers" (one with onion rings, mozzarella sticks, & chicken tenders and the other with fries, buffalo wings, and chicken tenders. I loved my moons over my hammy sandwich and I feel like nothing can ever go wrong with that. I do wish that my hash browns were a little more fried and crispy though so I had my bf finish them for me as I was already full with my sandwich. When his order came, it was 5 chicken strips on a plate and that was it. He asked if this came with fries since it said on the menu "Premium chicken tenders" and there was a picture next to it with fries in the plate. She said unfortunately no it does not come with fries, but that she will just bring a plate out for him no problem so that was super nice of her. Our other friend said his sampler could've been better and that he wished they added at least 4 or 5 tenders instead of 3 since they are quite little. The waitress got super busy with other tables and large parties coming in which was completely understandable so he ended up finishing all the tenders already before she finally came with the extra plate of fries. There were also 3 strawberry banana smoothies around the table which was super yummy and hit the spot for those that ordered it. We don't live anywhere near here but just in the area for the weekend. Our time here went well and was just like any other denny's we go to. Loved our sweet server.

Denny's is always great! I go there often and there's always good service! Robert is a server who is particularly friendly and hard working! They currently have some new breakfast dishes. I had the new berry french toast. It was filling but good if you want leftovers!

This is not French toast. It's two pieces of bread

Was told they don't serve Happy Hour at a seated table, but our waitress made an exception for us since we didn't know. It was hard to get service as our waitress was really busy. We ordered the Fresh Tableside Guacamole for $15, Street Corn for $4, Crispy Chicken Flautas for $8, Midori Melon Signature Margarita for $6, and Pomegranate Signature Margarita for $6. Was told the Horchata for around $5 was pretty good. We received complimentary chips and salsa and it was spicy, but good. The Fresh Tableside Guacamole was made fresh in front of us and was really good. They use the same chips for the salsa and guacamole. We were able to get multiple refills on the chips. The Street Corn was not good and was on the buttery side. The Crispy Chicken Flautas was really good with the sauces and came out hot and crispy. Both of the margaritas were weak, but we preferred the pomegranate over midori melon for flavor. They forgot our to go order and we had to go back to get it. Our waitress was nice but she was really busy and it was hard to get service. Would get the Fresh Tableside Guacamole and Crispy Chicken Flautas again.

Plenty of booths and some two tops that can accommodate parties more than 4 people. We walked in and were instantly greeted by Irma at the counter. As she pointed out available booths, she gave us the rundown on breakfast specials (that are also written on the grease board). Besides a hot cup o' Joe- I wanted some light bites. My typical breakfast plates would consist of Country Fried Steak/ Corned Beef Hash/ or Steak & Eggs. This time- when I heard Irma mention Beef Barley soup, I thought a cup would suffice. Along with that- sides of crispy bacon (I think 5 strips came in that order) & an English muffin. Which was toasted to perfection. Once I took my first spoonful of the Beef Barley soup- I knew I was gonna order an entire bowl. The strips of beef had some of the tasty gristle that truly makes the broth. Simple hearty soup. No shortage of barley and beef. I haven't had this soup in so long, it brought me back to childhood. I couldn't stop raving about it, (I'm a gal of simple pleasures) to other patrons. Hubby's breakfast combo came with a huge portion of hash browns. I told him to pack it up in a To Go container w/ the remaining bacon. And the hash browns were just as buttery & delicious when I re heated them in my skillet later the following day. Irma kept checking on us and would chit chat here and there. The burger had lettuce, tomato, union, cheese, that oddly was not melted, a nice sauce, pickles and decent looking meat patty, unfortunately the last few bites of the meat patty had a funky taste, like it was a little old, hence the 3 star rating, the burger is also served with a decent amount of fries. I ordered the Mar Y Tierra which is Rabo Encendido and shrimp served with rice, black beans, and plantains. The Rabo Encendido was actually quite spicy with a pronounced chile kick. (I am used to the dish being more on the savory side rather than spicy.) This was definitely a "tail on fire" experience. The oxtails were tender and plentiful in regard to portion size. There was a good mix of oxtail sizes. As the portion size was generous, there was plenty enough for three meals. Shrimp had a crisp, snappy texture which came with careful preparation in an alkaline solution. This was a good shrimp enhancement. There was an ample portion of shrimp in the dish as well. The black beans had a good flavor but the accompanying steamed white rice could have used a bit of seasoning to overcome the inherent blandness. Plantains were ripe and cooked tender with a caramelization on the edges. Mar Y Tierra was pricey at $49 but the generous portion size of the meal made it a good value. The restaurant itself was comfortable and understated in its decor. The outside patio is larger than the interior dining area. It was nice to dine outdoors in the patio. Service was good with friendly staff. Overall, it was a pleasant dining experience. Parking is plentiful in the lot.
