I felt a bit rushed by them when we walked in though because I wanted to see their menu more & they both seemed impatient even though the business was slow with no one other than us inside. I ended up just getting a bowl with rice and chose my protein and other toppings. The ingredients were fresh but they put the smallest scoops ever. My bowl wasn't even filled halfway it looked. The staff here was friendly, the service being quick, and the place was clean, that's why it gets an extra star. Unfortunately, that's where the positives end. I have been a fan of chronic tacos since they opened in Newport Beach, frequenting their Huntington Beach locations, and even having stopped by this location over a year ago. I'm sad to say the quality of food has drastically diminished. I ordered 2 grilled fish tacos, a chicken taco and a potato taco. To drink I went with my usual, horchata. Nothing was good, in fact it was gross. My two buddies I got to come here with me tonight now said I've lost all credibility with taco shops. The tortillas were stale and hard. The chicken was soupy as grease poured out of the taco and soaked the tortilla, though still not making the tortilla soft enough to bite through which was odd. The potato taco tasted like their chips, burnt and stale. The fish tacos were fishy and funky with the Baja sauce tasting more like mayo. Overall this experience was so off putting that I won't be coming back. It reminded me of the chronic tacos in Arizona years ago, a night and day difference from the older Orange County locations which were much better. I had to apologize to my 2 guests and now owe them lunch somewhere else to make up for this terrible experience. To top it off, 4 tacos and a drink was over $30! Guacamole used to be included in fish tacos, but apparently now they charge over dollar per taco for a tablespoon of guacamole. So I came to chronic taco today for lunch. I've never been here before I've seen it. Driving past the mall and I also seen it when I go to the local cupcake store shout out to Nadia cakes in Palmdale California in Jersey Mike's, which is right next-door, which I did get a sandwich from there anyway I ordered a California burrito with chicken no guac and some churros bite first let me tell you about this burrito in the description of California burritos has meat, fries, salsa, guacamole, and lime. This burrito taste like nothing but lime and pico de gallo. The veggies tasted very fresh in the burrito, but that is the only thing that I could taste is salsa, pico de gallo, and lime could not taste the chicken or anything else inside the burrito then I went to try out the churro bites worst churro bite I've ever had. It's still stuck in my tooth and the sauce taste like bottled sauce caramel I would not recommend. in the end I don't know if I'll be coming back to this. I didn't really see anything else on the menu that intrigued me to come back and my first taste was not positive and now my breath stinks thank you. Chronic taco. The service was wonderful. Man, they are SKIMMPY AF! I ordered a Surf & Turf burrito last night and it was 90% refried beans, 5% sour cream, 3% shrimp, and 2% carne asada. Like wow! You charge $17 for this burrito and you fill it with mostly beans? There was very little and I mean VERY little carne asada in it. I felt as if I paid for a $17 bean and cheese burrito. I am very disappointed by their surf and turf burrito. For that price, I could have went to taco bell and got a lot more and they arnt skimpy on the meat. Great job on pick up catering! I ordered taco kits, burritos, rice and beans for a party I was having for my son. They did an amazing job and everything was ready right on time! We had around 60-70 people and everyone raved about the food. We've been coming to Palmdale/Lancaster for years for sports and always wanted to try this place and for some reason never made it in. Well, we finally had time to try it today and it did not disappoint! I had a small shrimp burrito and my husband had a small carne asada burrito and they were both excellent and more than enough food. The street corn was also awesome. They also have the upgrade coke machine, so the sodas were good. Highly recommend. read more

Ambiance was nice and its an easy to access location. Staff was rushed and did not make eye contact. They have such a focus (mandated by management) on limiting portions. It was apparent that while quality is still good, management is seeking a higher profit line through less quantity given. My burrito weighed closer to a taquito due to small carne portions. They also would not provide more rice, even though I did not select beans. Cheese was hand put on without measurement when asked to consider to add a bit more, they stated it was an extra $1+. read more

Hard to believe that this place is still in business. I have never seen a supervisor treat their employees with so much disrespect. If it was not for my pregnant wife wanting food from this place would have just walked out. Ok. I found this kinda off putting. I think this was or will be our last time here. So, hubby was with me, I stayed in the car (CTScan), pulled up and hubby runs in to order my nacho's. Last night I stopped here for dinner and had a California wet burrito.As soon as I entered the building I noticed it was really warm inside especially around the area where food is being served which I thought was a little strange considering produce and dairy are being served. When I got down the line I noticed after I had already asked for lettuce on my burrito that it appeared to be brown and wilted. Furthermore, the sauce on top of my burrito was cold. I ate half of it and decided to take the other half home. It wasn't the best burrito I've had but it wasn't the worst. Anyways about 20-30 minutes after leaving my stomach began to hurt and I ended up vomiting about 6 times on the way home. Luckily, I had an empty Stanley in the car or oh boy! Good things about cleanliness. The place was very clean and the staff was very friendly and nice. It's a cool decorated place with outdoor benches (patio) indoor dinning is also available. The name caught our attention but the food is less than average. Our first time here and more than likely the last. We ordered the chronic fries and burrito. This almost has a a chipotle type food making process. The food was basic. There was no salt in the fries which is fine for some people although the meat (beef) had no flavor either so I needed that pinch of salt. The toppings were basic. You have to use some kind of sauce to get some flavor. I did like the fact that they offered black beans as an alternative to refried. The burrito was bland. I also ordered the churros which is really good. The customer service sucks! The first young lady we had was awesome then she was doing other things so the others helped. They hate their job. At least that was the attitude. The older lady that checked me out charged me for guacamole but I didn't order it. Didn't even mention it. But whatever. Not impressed by this place. I remember when Chronic was a small joint that focused on, well, tacos. And big burritos. That was maybe 15 years ago, when I last visited the establishment and it was locally famous. We paid a visit there yesterday, when we were back in the area for a family gathering, and was pretty disappointed. The service was friendly, to be sure. And props for having vegan options. But Chronic is now just another Chipotle Grill / Qdoba knockoff: burritos and tacos are put together assembly line style as guests choose their ingredients. There's nothing that sets it apart any more, there's no charm, just a lot of ingredients stuffed into a giant tortilla. Or a bowl, or whatever Chipotle does. read more
