This place is a very decent buffet! I came here on a weekday lunch and it was still pretty busy! There were so many items to choose rom and they even have their own malatang (DIY hotpot/soup) station! They also have a Mongolian bbq/hibachi area where you can pick out whatever you want to be made on the hibachi grill, and it's oh so fresh. They have a large variety of dim sum, which ranged from beef tripe, to bbq pork buns, to even chicken delicious! The sushi selection was minimal but did the job, the hot food offerings were extremely abundant. They were items such as dry pot seafood, sweet and sour chicken, sweet and sour fish, salmon, chicken wings, a plethora of items. There was also a fully stocked fridge with a bunch of drinks to choose from as well, bottled drinks such as plum tea, lemon tea, and even their house made milk tea! Tried this buffet little bit after it opened. It was worth the trip as the service was fantastic and the ambiance is nice too. The food was delicious and flavorful and there is a nice variety too of food to choose from. The drink selection is also amazing too as there is plenty to choose from as well from different iced teas, to various fountain drinks and stuff. The only major issue inside is that it can be a bit tight and frustrating to get around with how many people could be inside and how tight the areas are. But in the end, this is a solid buffet and has good food as well as clean and nice inside. Give it a try as its one of the few really good buffets in California. read more

Honestly if you grew up with Asian buffets, you know they're not going to be the best quality or high end so expectations should be reasonable. If it tastes decent and it doesn't make you sick, it's a fantastic Asian buffet. And this is a fantastic Asian buffet. They have good variety and even the sashimi and sushi doesn't taste super fishy or old. The malatang adds a whole another layer of happiness for me, I love malatang and they have so many options you can put in. They also have some very nice drinks on top of the regular fountain drinks you can get. One of the times we went, it was Veterans Day and a lot more expensive but there were oysters (don't recommend) and crab legs. We went here for Christmas Day lunch and even though the place was PACKED, we were seated right away which already impressed me! Just a heads up, you pay first before getting seated, and my dad was able to get a senior discount, which was a nice bonus. The space is huge and perfect for big groups and family gatherings. It didn't feel cramped at all even with the holiday crowd. The food selection was amazing! so many options to choose from! And the drink section? Next level. We were invited to dinner, it was a first for all of us. You pay up front, there's a 10% off this month for Chinese New Year! You just click like on IG. It was a lot of choices but I only tried a few. These are rated for ok items I liked. There's a grill that grills thin slices of nicely marbled steak, tasty. Then the wine oxtails were good, and so were the fries and tempura shrimp. Crab legs were ok also, better than other places that serve them way too salty. Who says fries are good at a buffet, if you try them, let me know! They're crispy and tasty. Drinks are self serve, for a full house, it was quite full. We came here this past Sunday for my friends birthday. Before coming I recommend you get reservations because this place is packed. We got seated within 10 minutes and wow was the line long for food. Lots of variety of food options but the line was overwhelming at times. We just sat down and catch up while the lines die down. Lots of Chinese food, dim sum, they have seafood too which was good. They also have a grill station you can pick up one steak at a time. I saw that they serve lobster but I believe you need to pay for that extra. They have seafood boil which was pretty good and probably my favorite. The ambiance here is nice. Very nice, very clean and the workers here are amazing. But with less items comes better quality, and the overall food was higher than average compared to other buffets.The malatang brotha were EXTREMELY flavorful, the steak made-to-order reminds me of the Moonstar days, and the sushi and dim sum options were great. I also appreciate the grab your own drinks (similar to Daly Buffet), although I wish there were more sugar free tea options. The staff were very attentive, but I imagine that was because we came at 4pm. We walked in with no issue but as we left around 6pm on a Sunday, there was a decent line trying to get in. Lots of parking available around the shopping complex, and plenty of businesses around the area to do pre-meal shopping or post-meal desserting. Food was just okay. I mostly just had some sashimi, some rolls -- we arrived at around 5pm (service starts at 4) and hot food just looked a bit overcooked and wrinkly. They serve hot soup with whatever veg and meat to be placed in it. That looked pretty good but I didn't try it. All you can drink canned and bottled teas were nice. Ice cream cups - they looked like the cheap ones from Safeway - didn't appetize me. Desserts - chocolate fountain with marshmallows and strawberries to dip- there was a sign to dip your stick in icey water first --- which actually looked like there was water in the chocolate from maybe someone dipping their wet stick in it. Star cookies that were pineapple cake , coffee layered cake, jellos, vanilla custard.. all not that great tasting. By the way--- the table next to us was going to town on those crab legs. It was o--- Kay. Service was excellent. Tables were cleared promptly. It looked fairly clean. If you walk near the chocolate fountain--- since it's near the bathroom -- you get whiff of deodorizing spray from the toilet. For me- it's a one and done. Sorry, I didn't take photos. There are so many good photos for this location already. We had dinner with friends on a Saturday night. The place was full but not crowded. The decor is sleek and clean. The staff helpful and friendly. 5 stars for ambiance and service, although the service is limited because it's a "help yourself" buffet situation. Now to the important part, the food. The food was ample and continuously restocked. I never saw a gap in the food areas. Even when one type of sushi was running low, the chef's were on top of it, getting ready to put a fresh platter out. Selection - There was a wide variety of food choices. There's the grill, where a guy is constantly preparing steaks. They are small, but you can keep coming back again and again, so it doesn't matter. He also serves up the lobster tails (Fri & Sat dinner and Sundays). The tail seemed to be about a 5 oz size, definitely worth the $4 extra charge. It's served chilled with a sauce dribbled over the top. I wish they could have dipped it in hot water for a few seconds to take the chill off before serving it. But it is cooked well and tasted delicious anyway. Moving on, there was a dim sum area with bamboo steamers and about 8 choices. My favorite there was the walnut bun. It's a sweet bun, so save that for dessert. At the sushi and sashimi station, there was about a dozen choices at all times. Proteins ranged from king crab legs to fried chicken (both excellent). Seafood from fish fillets to shrimp and scallops. Entrees went from coconut shrimp to broccoli beef. Drinks are all self-serve, even the water. The dessert bar is extensive, from sliced fruit and jello to cakes and a chocolate fountain. The food is all mass produced, so I give it 4 stars. Flavor is good. The selection is very good. This buffet is so good! We found out from the workers that it's only been open for about four months, which is impressive because everything already feels well-run and inviting. The inside setup doesn't feel crowded at all, and the food quality is definitely there. They have great drink options -- you can get either fountain or bottled drinks. The food tastes fresh, and my absolute favorite so far is the crab legs from the seafood boil. I kept going back for the sushi too! We were seated right away, which I appreciated. I originally was going to rate 4 stars but after sitting on it, my final verdict for this buffet is 3.5 stars. New buffet that opened up in Dublin. Came on a Sunday and my party of 4 waited about 20-25 minutes for a table. A lot of big parties and families are usually here. The place is nice inside and new, and has plenty of seating. It gives me slight nostalgia because growing up my family and I would go to buffets a lot and it has a similar atmosphere. Unfortunately, the food was just ok. Maybe I went on a bad day but I was starving before going in, but I only managed to eat about 1-1/2 plates (for a buffet?!???) before calling it quits. My favorite is the sushi/sashimi! I was quite surprised how fresh the quality is and it's not rubbery or fishy at all. I think it's definitely the best item in the buffet. I also liked that they have dimsum and malatang, also pretty good but you will get full quick! Other than that, everyone else was just ok. Nothing stood out and the lobster was not good. Very rubbery and tasted weird- but I think it was the butter. There are plenty of choices here if you like variety and lots of different drinks and desserts as well. I liked the chocolate fountain. One thing that stood out to me that bumped my rating down was the uncleanliness of the utensils. I noticed customers putting their dirty utensils in the untensils area where we go to get forks/spoons and knives. My party was disgusted to find food stains on our forks and utensils. I thought this was pretty obvious to NOT put our used utensils in the holder, but I guess putting a sign would help customers. (Customer error here lol) ***Not relating to the business of the restaurant but for people parking, do not park further down on the left side. I did not see a "Private Property" sign and my car and another party's car got towed. Walked in about 15 minutes after opening and it was already chaotic and loud. They need to simplify their rules, too convoluted and too many exceptions. Cashier tried to explain they stopped serving something, couldn't really hear her because of the noise. I think she said no lobster tail and Wagyu for lunch, even on weekends with a hefty upcharge on prices. Don't remember exactly what was charged but it was about $35, a discount due to their restaurant opening. At first glance the place was clean, a little claustrophobic, and while not dim, the blue lights around the buffet gave an unappetizing sheen on the food. Also, even though they just opened, a lot of the food trays were already empty or close to empty. Only saw 2 runners refilling the buffet and 2 cooks making sushi. Clearly not enough staff to keep up with demand. Most of the food I did try was OK. The seafood tasted fresh. So were the few pieces of sushi I was able to get. Nice beverage selection. The Mala labeled as 3 chilli spicy wasn't that spicy at all. Nice on a cold winter day Crab legs were fresh--pro tip: bring some scissors to cut them lengthwise as they supply crackers. Took some time because i wanted to be fair with this review. Service- plainly put, the Asian servers were far more attentive and helpful. Drinks- i love they had bottled water, and other bottled drinks! The lemonades are also very tasty! Dessert- the ice cream was super delicious! It was soft and yummy! The fruit was fruity, but the star is the melted chocolate and whatever you dip in it lol. Food- the food was ok...3/5 stars. You pay extra for the lobster and get a ticket for it (don't you dare lose your ticket or you lose your lobster). The other seafood was plain, the butter tasted weird, the Korean short ribs were just fatty and so thin. Sushi was average, soups were also normal. The worst are these thinly sliced steaks that are precooked. Mine was already cool when i got it. The line was super short....it was just me and my sister. The cook was just chatting up with another server, so I'm not sure why so many had to be premade and i couldn't get one relatively warm. Besides being cool, the steak lacked flavor and seasoning. The buffet area lacks any type of crowd control, it's frustrating because the floor doesn't allow for this. Because of the setup, lines quickly form, just to wait for people to get out of the way. We visited for Saturday dinner, and honestly, the decor was the best part of the experience. It's cute inside and has potential, but unfortunately, the food and flow of the buffet left a lot to be desired. First off, the buffet area is pretty small, making it difficult to move around or access popular dishes. Items ran out quickly and weren't restocked fast enough. There's only one person handling the soup, noodle bar, steak, and lobster, which caused serious congestion and long waits. There's also no clear instruction on how anything works--especially for the cooked-to-order options--so a lot of people (including us) were standing around trying to figure things out. If you're expecting unlimited lobster tails, you should know it's one per guest, and only with a ticket. This isn't made very clear beforehand, and definitely not what you'd expect for the price. Also worth noting: when we checked in, instead of a printed reservation card or number, we were handed a yellow sticky note, which felt a little thrown together. I'd seen other reviews showing cute custom tickets--definitely not our experience. To top it off, the dining area got extremely smoky during service. Guests started coughing, and staff opened the doors using chairs to hold them open. Unfortunately, our table was right there, so we ended up freezing- but you freeze or choke. :) The food was bland across the board. None of us (a party of 7, including two kids) were impressed, and that's saying a lot. The selection was limited, and for the price, we expected better quality. Excited to see a new AYCE buffet here in Dublin as the closest ones are a bit of a drive out to tracy, concord or south bay. Checked out their options to see how the pricing and menus are split up and decided to go on a weekend for the wagyu and lobster tail option. Please note that the weekend price is still split up on sat with Lunch from 11am to 3pm and then switching to dinner menu and pricing whereas sunday is all day. This is pretty important if you decide to go on a saturday so plan accordingly. I highly recommend the dinner option as it includes unlimited grill to order wagyu steak and a coupon for ONE good sized Lobster tail per person in your party. I feel for $44 this is actually a great deal for the one surf and unlimited turf alone. The grill people do a good job so let them know if you want a bit more rare on your steak. The wagyu is not the highest A5 or anything like that and probably just american wagyu but grilled to order really makes it shine. The rest of the items on the buffet are pretty standard and you get all the usual items you see as most asian themed buffets but their dimsum selection has a bit more variety than your usual places with chicken feet, tripe, pork ribs and salted egg yolk buns. The fried items are not too heavily fried and have a light taste to them which is a huge plus. This might also be due to the fact that they rotate items at a pretty good rate so again a good sign that most of the items stay pretty fresh. Some of my personal recommended items would be the short ribs (marinated well not just standard KBBQ sauce), the salt and pepper squid (light breading=better taste), chow mein (mix it with their wagyu dipping sauce). I am not a big sashimi guy but their regular sushi rolls seemed competent. The biggest surprise for me was a pretty robust malatang section with 4 soup selections. Just select your veggies, meats, noodles and seafood items in a bowl and have it prepared hot soup bowl style. The standard bone broth is really good and was not expecting that quality of soup at a buffet so highly recommended. On top of that you even have the option to grill as well mongolian noodle style so I will have to try that next time. The other outstanding thing about this place is the drinks! You get your standard soda machines, coffee and lemonades (kind of too light for my taste though so mix with sprite/soda) but you also get access to full bottled drinks and canned soda/juice drinks. This is something you see more commonly in Asian countries so I am glad to see it is becoming an option here in the states so grab all the drinks and try them out! A buffet in the east bay? What should we call it? EAST BAY BUFFET!!! Perfect! I too have been waiting for this place to open. They beat H-mart to opening day! Hooray! Okay joking aside, this place is pretty solid. We went here for lunch on a week day and it wasn't too crowded. Went when they opened to avoid crowds and we were seated immediately. When we walked up, you have to pre-pay (always a good thing imo for a buffet) and it included an 8% surcharge (was this the tip? I couldn't tell.) which is also a good thing so that way the hard workers get some more money. Service: Perfect. We never had empty stacks of plates unless we all finished our dishes at the same time and we stacked them. They were super attentive and SO SO polite! Every time, "May I take this for you?" The wait staff for clearing plates, seriously, 5 stars. Raw Food: The seafood was fine. Just fine. Sorry not great, not good, but fine. The rice is cooked there for the Nigiri so it's hot. Then they put the fish on top of it which raises the temp and makes it warm. Not the best situation but I get it, you do this for throughput and efficiecny. I saw the hype about East Bay Buffet on social media and decided to check it out since I was in the area. The interior design is sleek and modern, which gave the restaurant a clean look. Highlights include the fried chicken wings, Chinese style spicy steamed fish, salt and pepper fish and walnut shrimp. The hot and sour soup was also good. Just ok items included the crab legs, and sushi. The self serve drinks were included which was also a nice touch. Food and drinks were four stars. Service was fine for an Asian buffet. Why the downgrade? The design of the space is poor. The main path through the buffet only fits two comfortably. Have people checking out or getting food on both sides and it is a squeeze to try to walk through to get to/from the tables at the front of the restaurant. Not fun when you are holding a plate of food. The area where we were seated was similarly "funky" - a long narrow room with 4 tables (4 tops on one side and 2 tops on the other) and a squeeze to get to the tables at the back of the room. Came here with a large group of 30 for lunch and it didn't feel overly crowded. The selection of dim sum was good although I wish they had har gow. Really liked the sticky rice. The malatang is delicious and love that you can put as much or as little in your bowl as you want. They also had really good bbq pork that was tender. I enjoyed the sushi selection and milk tea on tap as well. Definitely would come back to try the dinner options. read more

Really enjoyed East Bay Buffet. They had many interesting options, and though their sashimi slices were thin, it is AYCE so I did not mind it as much! Seafood was really good, crawfish were huge! Looking like mini lobsters. Speaking of lobsters, when you decide to choose the lobster option for AYCE it only allows you to get ONE lobster. One ticket per person for a lobster. Personally it increased our bill a lot because of it and yes the lobster was tender and delicious, we just wouldn't get that option again since the price difference for regular AYCE (without lobster) was too much just for one only. I liked how the Malatang bar had many options to choose from! They also offered 3-4 different broths. I loved how many beverages options there were particularly the ones in the fridge (yes you can get them) and the many fountain drinks plus hot coffee! Will definitely come back, opting out of lobster though! For 4 people our bill was around $220! Do what you will with that information! Gratuity and service included! read more

My friend and I came here for dinner on a weekday. We came right before the dinner rush. We paid before being seated. The place was nice and clean. Self serve food and drinks..fountain soda including bottled Asian drinks. Too bad we weren't aware there was an alcohol menu til after we were done. Tho all it had listed was beer and wine. The food options seems limited for a buffet. My friend was really into the shrimp. I was into the oysters and sashimi. Their steamed abalone and baked scallops were really good. Not sure how I feel about their one steak per person. Or the fact you only get one lobster on the weekend. Wasn't a fan of most of the entrees. The dim sum wasn't too appealing. I only cared for the sesame balls. The desserts were sad. The chocolate cake was the only thing decent. The mango cake was so dry. The cheesecake was so bland. Their fresh strawberries were far from sweet. The ice cream cups had frost bit. I still have yet to try other items. So maybe I'll give this place another try. read more

3.5 stars! My family and I arrived right when they open at 11 am on a Saturday and there was already a line out the door. It's $30 per person for lunch on the weekend, which honestly is very reasonable for all you can eat. Nowadays, one sushi roll is already $20. The front parking lot is small, but there's more parking in the back. Once inside, the restaurant is huge with three separate dining rooms. Unfortunately, the actual buffet with the food is quite small and it gets very crowded. They do switch out the variety of food so that's nice. The food is good, but nothing too special. I like how they provide bottled drinks and canned sodas. Service was super attentive and restaurant was clean. read more

Found out about this place from IG. We went on a Saturday for lunch, $29.99 until 3pm. Dinner on weekends is $43 from 4pm. You have 1.5 hr to eat, it's plenty of time. This restaurant is a Chinese buffet located in Dublin. Plenty of parking available. We got there at 2pm and were seated within 20 minutes for a party of 2. You talk to the host and tell them how many people in your party and he gives you a number in a post it note and you wait for your number to be called. I hope they eventually upgrade and use yelp waitlists where you just get a text when it's almost your turn. Not a lot of seating for waiting so people were standing around while listening for their number. It would have been nice to just sit and wait in the car with the AC on. They yell the number when they call you, and you have to pay upon arrival with an 8% service fee (not a fan), 10% discount with senior ID 65 and up. We paid $71 for 2 people for a Saturday lunch. The food was plentiful, they kept refilling them. Plenty of choices from sushi, hotpot, dim sum, classic Chinese food. They even have fondue for dessert and ice cream. Bottled drinks and fountain drinks are included in the buffet. The food was your typical Chinese buffet quality, hit or miss. What I liked was everything was self served, from utensils, napkins, sodas, condiments, etc., which is why I wasn't a fan of the 8% service fee. Pretty straightforward customer service, nothing spectacular. I would recommend this place because the interior is nice and it's clean. Plenty of seating and food choices and I can see how this would be a good place for big parties. I'd like to come back and try the dinner and see what options they have. read more
