Terrible experience. I have gotten food poisoning the last two times I've eaten here.

The food tasted good, but my morning took a turn for the worst when my son was eating his left overs from last night and he had a burnt wooden squire in his chicken :( I'm afraid he ate some of it without knowing and I'm just so frustrated with the carelessness of it all. Located in an anywhere USA strip center by Target the only reason I can think of to consider this restaurant is if you are stuck in Brea on business! Overall Brea has limited options so I narrowed them down further with my trusty Yelp app. Hasn't failed me from Paris to Miami, New York to Palm Springs. Oops! Something went haywire this time. On entering the almost empty and small space I asked to be seated at a 4 top as I don't care for two tops. He shook his head no and I looked at him then back at the restaurant where I saw several empty tables. I pointed to the one I wanted to sit at and he again shook his head no. Then he pointed to one crowded almost up under a counter and missing a chair. So we sat there. The menu is typical Mediterranean. What we were served in no way represents this type of quaint I've had in other places. Below average . The restaurant is really rough around the edges to say the least and needs a good scrubbing, coat of paint and better food. I'm not sure if several of the reviews I read are liberal with their comments or I hit them on a bad nite. I wouldn't go back nor recommend anyone else go there. read more

This might be my other favorite mediterranean restaurant (the other would be Bavel in DTLA) and I would never think to find it in Brea. What I especially love about D'Vine is the design of their menu. When you order an entree you have a choice of one cold mezza and they have several options of cold mezzas - my favorites are the tabouleh, beet salad, mediterranean salad. What's even better is that if you are on a carb free or a low carb diet they will let you replace the rice with another cold mezza. However, in my personal opinion the rice is delicious here. Lamb kebab, beef kebab and the chicken kebabs are the entrees that I had and all three were delicious and not overcooked. There's a nice patio out here and on the weekend there is a belly dancer. read more

Visited this place while visiting LA and is great find. The service is impeccable and the menu is overwhelming mouthwatering. Pity I could order only two things - sheesh burger was moist and right amount of condiments, the tahini was just right. The humus plate with beef was large and fulfilling. We ordered D' Vine for catering in an event of 200 guests and Jamal and his crew provided the best service. Jamal is very flexible and understanding. He provided the menu we asked for and made several changes that required a lot of work and effort. His staff came in with a smiley face ready to work and serve to this big crowd. They were pleasant and extremely respectful of everyone. And the food was deliciously prepared and presented!! I rarely give a score of five, but the fact that this restaurant is in Brea and close to where we live - meaning we don't have to drive in to LA for great food - makes this a five, for sure. Now, onto the food: the hummus is actually quite good and homemade, of course. And we have had some great hummus. I would suggest getting the fried cauliflower and the fool. Yes, that is correct. Fool. Fool is a mixture of smashed fava beans with lemon, garlic and olive oil. it doesn't have a bold flavor, but it is delicious. Another favorite is the hummus with meat. We have tried it all three ways - with meat, Shawarma, and chicken Shawarma. Be sure to get extra garlic sauce. It is awesome. As a bonus, they have a full bar. If there's any negative, it's the fact that there are three TVs playing music videos while you're trying to enjoy your meal. I wish we didn't have TVs in restaurants, unless you are sitting in a sports bar. It really is distracting. But really, it's not that big of a deal, because you can always sit outside. If you have not tried Mediterranean food, I highly suggest coming to this restaurant. It is truly legit and everything made from scratch! read more

One of my favorite Mediterranean places in Orange County! I've never ordered a dish here that I don't like. I also love that it's easy to eat healthy here - I can walk away from this place feeling satisfied but not completely fat. The complimentary chips and salsa equivalent here is fried pita chips with olive oil and zaatar. I almost wish they didn't serve this because I eat so much of it that I can never finish my entree! This is such a simple yet excellent combo, it's hard to stop eating! I typically order the chicken shawarma, which comes with rice and a cold mezza. Pro tip - for a small charge, you can get two cold mezzas instead of rice. I usually order the cucumber salad, beet salad, or baba ganoush. The chicken esplodes with flavor, and the portion size is just right. On a nice day you can take advantage of outdoor patio seating. Parking is plentiful as it's located right next to a Target. Pricing is a tad higher than I would prefer, but the quality of the food more than makes up for it. read more

This is my new go-to for Mediterranean food. My usual place for this type of food gave a bunch of people food poisoning so I definitely needed to find a new place. D'Vine has never disappointed me. I've eaten here 3 times and each time has been so amazing delicious. I only get the falafel entree and, lemme tell ya, it's *amazing*. The falafels are seasoned so well & the tahini sauce it comes with is also made perfectly. (I get a little weird with tahini sauce so I was pretty ecstatic when I tasted it and liked it!) My husband gets the chicken shawarma and loves it as well. He can never finish his meal! There's so much food that there is always some left over! read more

Server cassie was very nice and accommodating :) The food was simply delicious. It may not have the exact made from home Mediterranean taste, but it's still very good. My friends and I ordered a couple of plates and all shared. We got chicken kabob and shawarma plates, cheese sambousek, and hummus with meat. For our plates we got grape leaves and tabouli. The grape leaves weren't my favorite nor the tabouli. However, these dishes are hard to get right so they were okay in my opinion. Everything else was delicious. The meat was cooked well and the sambousek was so tasty. I liked the outdoor seating it was comfy and they had blinds to block the wind which was nice. They also had a belly dancer the night we went so the crowd was fun and it was a good time. Overall great place, can't really go wrong coming here :) read more

Ran into D'Vine with 15 minutes to order, wait and eat due to a hair appointment next door. The guys immediately recommended their chicken, hummus, rice dish and it did not disappoint. They specifically recommended it because it was fast and they had in on the table in less than 5 minutes! They were very friendly to this out of towner and got me on my way within 10 minutes. My wife and I have been coming to D'Vine for many years at both the Fullerton and Brea locations. We've always had excellent food and excellent service. The reason for the one star rating is the corkage fee. We decided the other night to take our own bottle of wine, and I would fully expect to pay a corkage fee of $8 to $10. So when we got there bill the corkage fee was $15 per person for a total of $30 - I was very surprised and disappointed. This was more than both of our entrees combined. If this was an error please reply to me and correct it, if not please think about your corkage fee and be in alignment with most other restaurants in Orange County. read more

The food here is usually great, but online order pickup is frustrating. Every time I pick up, the gentlemen who distribute the orders (perhaps the owner/s) have always looked annoyed when I ask for my order. Then they ask me what I ordered - not the name on the order or an order number, they want me to holler out my entire order through the restaurant of other diners, which is just so awkward. Usually I don't even remember or know what my family ordered off the top of my head. I've been accused twice of ordering from the wrong location by them until I've shown them my online order confirmation. I always feel like I'm working for them, being extra nice to compensate for their rudeness. This rude treatment has happened EVERY time I've picked up, and I've been here quite a bit during the pandemic. So yes, the food is good. The meats are high quality, the rice is one of my favorites anywhere, the hummus is hit and miss but usually good. But it's not worth being treated like I'm an idiot and an inconvenience every time I pick up, especially when I'm just trying to support local businesses during hard times for restaurants. I'd rather support restaurants that WANT me to order from them. read more

I came in for dinner at 7 pm party of 4 & the server told me I'm sorry, we close in an hour so we're not taking anymore orders. UM WHAT? An hour? He obviously just didn't want to seat us in case we inconvenienced him to stay like 10 minutes later. I use to be a server and I would seat people 10 minutes till closing. My family was craving some Mediterranean food and we were in the area so we decided to try D'vine. We picked up the Kefta and the Beef Sharwarma togo. We ate the food as soon as we got home. We were disappointed. The Kefta was dry and tasted like they were reheated from the night before. The beef sharwarma was dry and tough. We got the cold mezza cucumber yogurt salad and the traditional salad it was nothing special about it. The rice and the garlic sauce was very good. Overall disappointing experience. We will find another place to satisfy our Mediterranean food craving. read more
