Visited this morning and ordered at the drive up. Line moved fairly quickly and person taking my order was great. Ordered med black coffee and a donut. Very simple. Drove away and a few blocks later took a swig of coffee and it's sweet with cream and sugar. Ugh! Next time will check before driving away. read more

Decided to go get donut today for the first time in forever. Was surprised when I went to order instead of allowing me to order I was interrupted multiple times ask HOW MANY DO YOU WANT? After patiently giving my order driver up to check out and pay for my donuts. When I got up front to pay they asked how many did I order. I told them how many I ordered. They seemed to not understand. Then they asked me so you want random assorted. I said no then gave them my order again. They still did not seem to get it and was asked How many did you order dude? Wife and I have been coming here for long time and never had an issue. My wife and I just paid a visit today for an egg and cheese on a plain bagel. 2 orders of steak and cheese roll ups. I understand hard times. Inside closed. Busy drive through but that's no excuse. As we get home we find that we were only givin a plain bagel with no egg or cheese. 2 individual roll ups not 2 orders and they did not even have the steak in them. I drove all the way back to voice my concern and see what can be done about it. I understand only drive through is open but I try knocking at the front door for someone to come to explain situation and after about 5 minutes of knocking and multiple employees inside seeing me. Looking right at me and ignoring me not a single person even management came to ask how they could assist me. This kind of service and attention to work detail is completely unacceptable. read more

This place has OFFICIALLY lost my business. Went through the drive thru yesterday and I'm not sure if the cashier thought I was giving him an attitude, but all of a sudden he snatched my $5 bill out of my hand. And when he came back with the change, he threw (I'm not even kidding) the change into my hand. I told him that there was no need for him to be doing that and he responded with "I don't know what you're talking about." When I asked to speak with a manager, he shut the window on me. This is a great Dunkin to visit, if you have the chance and are partial to the Dunkin' Donuts chain (not everyone is). Employees are always so friendly, and genuinely seem to enjoy their jobs. Have come on weekdays and weekends, and each time I've been pleased with our orders. The venue has plenty of parking, and also has a drive-thru, and it's located in a spot that makes it fairly easy to see and access. The breakfast sandwiches are what my husband loves, and I'm partial to the seasonal flavored donuts but I won't turn down anything that's glazed. Have tried the frozen hot chocolate a few times, and it's also something worth trying if you're a fan of cold, chocolately beverages. Bottom Line: It's a chain restaurant, but isn't a tiny hole-in-the-wall Dinkin' like some I've been to on the east coast. Maybe it's the Californian in me that gets excited when I see a drive-thru option, but for breakfast on the cheap it's a great spot. read more

I read older reviews recommending to go when they open for freshest donuts. I went in 5 minutes after opening and noticed their shelves weren't full of visible options. The cashier said if there's something I don't see he can check in the back. I realize now that the stuff that was visible was left over from yesterday and stuff was still being made of just finishing right at open..still enjoyed the fresh donuts though. Generic donuts! They remind me of donuts you might get at Safeway or Raleys. The coffee is good. The set up is too "cool". Donuts are behind counter which is not typical of a traditional donut shop. Kids enjoy seeing the donut display and being able to choose their donuts up close. This set up kinda kills the donut shop experience for me and my 4 kids. They are trying to be a Starbucks with an emphasis on coffee and all the promo and sales displays for coffee related products. Place is clean and staff is friendly. First time trying Dunkin Donuts and I'm (somewhat) impressed! I never liked Krispy Kreme (shocking coming from a west coast native), and was always into local donut shops instead. My mom pretty much forced me to come here one afternoon. The line was a bit out the door, but the wait was only about ten minutes. We ordered a dozen and a iced hazelnut almond latte. The donuts were really fresh. I loved the cronuts. But the drink was amazing! For only 2 bucks! If i ordered something like this at Starbucks or Peets, it would be easily 5 dollars. Service was really good. Everyone was helpful. They do have a drive thru which seemed to be moving well. One star off only because it's hard to read the menu unless your turn is coming up. They should have pamphlets or another menu sign just in case if their is ever a line. Can't wait till they open one in the bay area! read more

The texture of the donut is off and the after taste of all the toppings has a weird manufactured taste. I was extremely excited to see a Dunkin Donuts finally near me! I had never tried it until I went a few days after this location in Folsom/Orangevale first opened. The few times I have been here, the coffee is always amazing (and I always get it iced- and it's so affordable and customizable) but the donuts always taste really stale. I'm not sure if it's just how they store them, but it's obvious they don't cook them in store either. Not to mention, the staff and service is always sub-par. Today, my order was placed and the girl was friendly on the speaker, but when she handed me my food and beverage, she didn't say anything. No, "Thanks! Come again soon," or "Here you go. Have a great day!" She turned around and just started chatting up her coworkers even though I had said, "Thanks! Have a nice day!" before I even put my car into gear. She also looked like she would rather be in hell than working here. Previously, teenage boys were working the drive-thru, and were very friendly and nice, however, I had ordered a donut and had to change it three different times because they were out of every single flavor I wanted. The staff is super disorganized at this location. I'm just disappointed DD didn't live up to the hype. I will be back because I LOVE the coffee. This location is the BEST in the Sac Region. Friendly Staff, TRAINED & ATTENTIVE staff. They get your order right, give you correct items and are helpful. They are also well aware that the Roseville location is the worst one in the area and that people drive from Roseville to Folsom for Dunkin. read more

I was kinda excited to try Dunkin Donuts. I mean there's alot of hype right? My wife and I popped into this location last weekend on our way home from the Folsom Outlets. We ordered a Croissant breakfast sandwich a couple donuts and a Hot chocolate. We aren't coffee drinkers. The Sandwiches were just ok. The donuts remind me of Krispy Kreme. The hot chocolate was pretty good. Overall I was kinda let down. The place looks cool kinda like starbucks but with donuts. I dunno I just wasn't impressed. I'm not sure if its because I had my expectations high going in. The donut place by my house has way better donuts and I'm sure Carl's Jr or Wendys has a better breakfast sandwich. Just visited this location. There were many people working, no customers. The staff was messing around not paying attention. I ordered an iced coffee with pecan flavoring The guy hands it to me and says "here's your coffee with caramel" (not what I ordered) I took a sip and it had neither pecan nor caramel. No flavor at all, actually. How about you stop screwing around and do the simple, simple task you are being paid to do. Very nice staff and super clean. Parking lot is a little hard to get into. At first you think there's only one entrance, but if you go around the corner on Greenback, there is a small side street you can go on and enter that way. A dozen donuts is expensive. There's no other way to put it. approx $11..but maybe it cost more because I split them into two boxes?...but they are some of the best I've had. The clerk was really nice and friendly and was able to offer an informed opinion about the different flavors. Personally, I like them better than Krispy Kreme...who I find too sicky sweet for my taste. As an added bonus--no homeless have taken up residence in the parking lot!
