Been here many times. It's what I expect at any Baskin Robbins. Most have the same flavors, and most are the same setup. What would make this place a little better is more helpful and professional staff. There were about 2 instances in which staff didn't act helpful or professional, but most occasions staff are helpful and act as expected. I have been coming to this location for about 3 years. When you pay 10 dollars for a large shake it should be what you asked for. I always tell them that I want the shake to be thick which means more ice cream and less milk. So when I get home it is like a glass of milk I only live like a mile away. I searched all over for a special cake for a birthday girl. Baskin Robins was the 4th place I checked out and I'm so glad I did! They told me that the cake designer, Kim, would call me and she did. She was very excited about doing a fun cake and she had lots of great ideas. I shopped for the cute candy items at G. Willikers (thank you Sydney!) in Old Sac and dropped them off for Kim. When Sara (birthday girl) saw the cake she couldn't have been more delighted!! On top of that, it was delicious! It was white cake with lemon ice cream. It has a great location - nice corner spot in the shopping center and it's right next to Jamba Juice and Noah's Bagels if you're looking for a somewhat healthier (and more boring) option. They have limited indoor seating (two small tables), but plenty of outdoor seating and shade umbrellas. They also have prepackaged ice cream, custom ice cream cakes and have started to sell Dunkin' Donut k-cups. It's not exactly the most affordable place to go, but dairy prices are high everywhere. There are surveys on the bottom/back of the receipt which also double up as coupons if you're into saving a buck here or there. Ice cream is good no matter what and no matter where but there is just something about Baskin Robbins that gets me every time. Maybe it's remembering that as a kid it was a super treat to know we were going to "the ice cream shop" as we called it or maybe it's the colors and all of those flavors just starring at you. Maybe it's one of those few places where I can secretly feel like a kid without making a spectacle of myself. Who knows... My kids keep it simple my boys get chocolate and my daughter gets rainbow sherbet which is what I used to get when I was her age. I didn't suggest it, I didn't even tell her it was one of my favorites as a kid. I just picked up a heart ice cream cake for my fiance's birthday. I am so pleased with how it turned out. Last year at a different location I got there and the cake wasn't done yet even though it was past the pick up time I had scheduled, it was half melted already because the girl working on it had it out for so long, and melted even more on the way home, The writing came pretty much off and it was a disaster. I was so upset. I decided to try this location and I arrived earlier then the scheduled pickup, but the cake was already finished. The staff was very friendly and had smiles on their faces.
