I appreciated that the cake itself wasn't that sweet, which it paired well with the cream cheese frosting. There were supposed to be chocolate chips in the cake but didn't really get that many - wish there were more as it would have added a different texture instead of just soft cake throughout. I love coming here to get little bunt cakes. They are SO sweet so even the mini ones I cannot finish. They are pretty pricey of course - but for special occasions they are worth it. I worked for a company and we got about 100 mini buntletts for the staff for application and it was very well received. The staff here has always been very friendly and the place never seems busy every time I am in there. Parking is easier now that Round Table has closed next door. Give them a try! I ask why, and I was told because that store is slower so that helps their service. If I wanted to shop in Folsom, we would've lived there. The cashier showed terrible customer service. She was very short with me and my wife and barely said hello. She seemed like it was bother to serve us. And then she just threw the cake on the counter. I have been to other local Sacramento area "Nothing Bundt Cake" shops. This past weekend, I visited the Folsom shop. Mmm... the bundlet was delicious. The shops all seem to be decorated exactly alike. Nothing wrong with that. It is cheerfully decorated in white and shades of pink. Besides the bundt cakes, they sell cake toppers, candles, balloons, cake cutlery, party plates, and greeting cards. My go to is the 6 oz mini bundt cake with piped cream cheese frosting. $4.95. I bought a vanilla bundlet this time. I ate it straight away when I got home. I was in such a trance that I totally forgot to take pics. It was delicious. Tasted fresh. It was moist and flavorful. The cream cheese frosting was a light consistency but not light enough to melt easily and not overly sweet tasting (cloying). They have lots of flavors to choose from: vanilla, chocolate, red velvet, carrot cake, pecan praline, lemon, and pumpkin spice...I even think they have more flavors. They also have 8 inch, 10 inch, and tiered combo 8 and 10 inch bundt cakes. For an extra cost they can decorate and wrap the cakes for any occasion. The shop closes at 6pm on the nose on a weekday. Those hours makes it a bit difficult to satisfy my bundt cake cravings during the week. Maybe that is a good thing for my wallet and waistline. read more

I'm from the bay area and was heading to Tahoe for the weekend to celebrate my SIL's bday. Needed a cake that didn't require sitting in a cooler packed with ice. Nothing Bundt Cakes seemed like a good choice - easy to travel with. This particular location was only 10 min away from HWY 50. I placed a custom order a week before my trip and scheduled the day and time of pick up and paid in advance. So convenient. There are a handful of cake places in Tahoe but none that I've tried and didn't want to risk being disappointed. I don't know anyone that won't bite into a Nothing Bundt Cake. Came and spent $30 worth of 4 little cakes, forgot what they're already called. The two young highschool looking girls attending the store didn't even say hello, didn't not greet or whatsoever. Never looked at my family while we're perusing the display fridge. The two kept talking and talking and talking without asking if we needed any help or even explained any of the items they have to promote the shop's delicious cake. My GF recommended I go there to pick up some awesome Bundt Cakes to give my new neighbors as a little "nice to meet you" gift. The only problem was which bundt cake to buy. So many choices so many sizes! And so many options other than Bundt Cakes. What is a girl to do? I finally decided upon the carrot cake and the lemon cake. Two of each for two different Neighbors. A total of $20. And to top everything off they were packaged in a cute little gift bag. I think this place could be addictive :-). Nothing Bundt Cakes has been THE bakery for YEARS, for every birthday our family has celebrated. Their cakes have always been consistently amazing, so even despite the 20+% price increase in less than two years, I've been a loyal customer...but likely no more after the most recent cake I ordered last week to celebrate my daughter's birthday. I'll keep this short. I picked up the cake in the morning. Later in the evening, when I opened the box to serve, the first thing I noticed was that the cake had been placed in the box and not wrapped in cellophane like every other cake I've ever ordered from NBC. This struck me as odd, and honestly gave me the impression that they are cutting corners to increase their profit. The next thing I noticed is that the cake was much smaller and shorter, not the impressive dome typical of a bundt cake. This confirmed my earlier suspicion - NBC has turned into a bakery which has raised prices and reduced quality in order to increase profits. This loyal customer has noticed, and I am not happy. Only had these twice, but praise the Lord, it changed my mind on Bundt cakes. I used to think they were ugly and dry, and a poor excuse for cakes, but NBC makes moist, tasty, interesting cakes. First bite of the Carrot Cake Bundtlet, it's a dream, the cake itself has a great texture and the signature cream cheese frosting is honestly the best I have ever had! The ribbon is $2 and you get to choose the color. The flower is an additional $1. They also have a few different flowers to choose from to. The bundt cakes are very moist and dense with a lot of flavor. The frosting is really good too. It's not too sweet either. They have a lot of different flavors such as the typical vanilla and red velvet. They will also change it up and have seasonal flavors. I went in the fall and they had a pumpkin one. She kept her cool, kept a smile on her face, kept hustling. Asked every person 'how are you.' I was very impressed. The case was empty so I was worried that they were out of cakes. She assured me she could prepare whatever I wanted. She ran in the back and grabbed my cakes. They were delish and tasty and the fam was psyched when I got home. Our three flavors were Lemon, Carrot and Chocolate Chip. MOIST and tasty. We like the small ones - just perfect for one or two people. Such a good selection. read more

I frequent here because I'm always in charge of "getting cakes" but today's experience has drawn the line for serval reasons mentioned below. I entered at 5:34 (closes at 6pm), but left at 6:05. I was the FIRST TO ORDER out of about 6 - 7 placing a "walk-in" order also, BUT I WAS THE LAST to LEAVE......... I was very patient as I watched EVERY SINGLE PERSON ordering before me leave the premise after they've placed their orders after mine........but the dishonesty and lack of integrity is lacking and shows the moral of he business needs some better training. *The first delayed excuse I got was because the cake takes a while to defrost (but this doesn't explain why the customer behind me received his cake before me). So I'm thinking ok, I ordered a 10" so it takes a while. *Second excuse is because my cake was still defrosting....so I asked the lady who handed me the cake, "why was there a delay?"....she said they defrosted a 8" and NOT a 10" and they didn't want to give me a 8". Well I paid for a $35 10" so I expect that. Had the staff had been honest to begin with, I would have happily taken the 8" even after paying for the 10". Why? Because I understand mistakes happen. But the principle and moral here is that the staff were dishonest and it threw my schedule way off to add to that! Horrible dishonest staff. Makes me wonder what goes on in the back.
