First let me start by saying... FROYO!! I'm a big fan of frozen yogurt, and when the flavors and toppings are this stacked, I'm basically a kid in a candy store. Ambiance: 7/10 It's a yogurt shop, so don't expect much in terms of decor... but honestly, that's not what we're here for. The focus is the froyo. They've got some indoor seating along the wall and a small aarea in the back, enough to chill if you're not taking it togo. Service: 5/10 It's a self serve place, so interaction is minimal. Only reason I'm knocking it down is because it took a while for someone to come out from the back when I needed a sample cup. Once I had that, I was good to go. Food: 10/10 I sampled about 6 different flavors (zero shame), and settled on cheesecake and chocolate raspberry truffle....SO good. I went full dessert mode and topped it with cheesecake bites (a must for me), cookie dough bites, brownies, cherries, you get the picture. It was glorious, and I had leftovers for a second round later. Thanks, Yogurtland, for being loaded with options and not skimping on the good stuff. 3.5 STARS i've been meaning to try yogurtland since it's such a popular place for froyo. it was set up the same as a typical froyo shop, with plenty of options to choose from - more than most of the local family-owned shops. there was plenty of seating inside when my boyfriend and i went, and it seemed pretty lively in the evening. they offered small cups at the counter to try some samples, and service was what you would expect from the counter. - plain tart (4.5/5): classic tart flavor, like a tangy greek yogurt but sweeter. very yummy! - french vanilla NSA (4/5): very classic vanilla and creamier than the others, which i liked - dutch chocolate (3.5/5): definitely tasted like chocolate, but i didn't like it as much as chocolate froyo from other stores. it just wasn't as creamy as the vanilla, and the texture was almost icy - fresh strawberry (4/5): on the icier end, but i liked the strawberry flavor. it tasted like a strawberry yogurt popsicle! - toasted coconut (4.5/5): i liked the strong coconut flavor and creamier texture. it tasted exactly as expected - cheesecake (3/5): i actually really enjoyed the plain ny cheesecake flavor, but it was just too subtle. i wish it was stronger - rocket pop sorbet (2/5): it did have the same flavors as a rocket pop, but it tasted so much more artificial... and rocket pops are already artificial. the icy texture worked for the sorbet though - alphonso mango tart (4.5/5): the classic tart mixed with mango. i really enjoyed this version of the tart flavor, and the mango came through nicely to sweeten the yogurt. this was probably my favorite flavor! - pumpkin pie (1/5): there was way too much pumpkin spice flavoring, which made it overwhelming. it also tasted very artificial to me yogurtland offered most of the basic topping options, including a variety of fruit, mochi, peanuts, chocolates, candies, cereals, and cookies. they were missing my favorite fruit topping, bananas, and it would've been nice if they offered more peanut butter-related things, like peanut butter chips, although i didn't really mind. there were definitely enough options! overall, i thought yogurtland was alright. the standard and quality was as expected from a chain. i felt like yogurtland's yogurts were on the icier end and i prefer creamier yogurts, so it could also be personal preference. i think that yogurtland is a good, basic, and reliable option for froyo, and i would come here if my local mom-and-pop shop was closed. read more

Around 7:15pm, April 30 2026. Location: Visalia Mall. I thought it would be a great idea to go to Yogurtland with my partner before going out. After filling my large cup with a variety of flavors and toppings, I took the cup to the counter. This woman who goes by Natalie is behind the counter, and she has me weigh my ice cream. As I am paying, I am shocked to see her shove a spoon into my ice cream without asking, whereas other employees have asked. I needed it to go, so I asked her if she may please remove the spoon because I needed it packed in a bag. Natalie, disrespectfully and blatantly rolled her eyes and took a big chunk of my toppings with the spoon (mind you, I already paid for the ice cream). After, I asked for a lid, and two spoons. She looked at her employee, scoffing. This is not a stretch, she literally was SO RUDE. Rather than handing me the lid, she took the freedom to SHOVE the lid down onto my cup squashing my icecream making it look messy. With every of my request, she somehow made my every experience terrible. Her service felt hateful, careless, and overall, less than 1 star behaviour. This has never happened to me before with any other employee. She handed me the bag, I said have a nice day still trying to be polite, and she ignored me. Yogurtland is hands down the best froyo place in my opinion. With a variety of flavors and new flavors rotating through, there is an option for everyone. I love the no sugar added low fat vanilla. Stopped by with my little niece and sister for a quick dessert. The machines are clean, no drippy or dirty machines. The consistency is spot on and not over mixed or icy. The coolest thing here is that you get to choose the size of your cup, fill it up with your favorite flavor --as much as you like--and then add any toppings you want, from fresh fruit to chocolate pieces . Who doesn't love a cool, refreshing dessert on a hot summers' day? And as many people know, Sacramento is notorious for multiple months (from June through September) of hot temperatures that at times, can go well above the century mark. This takes me to one of my favorite frozen yogurt shops in my neighborhood; this is none other than "Yogurtland". Located in the Fair Oaks area directly at Madison Ave. and Sunrise Blvd., this particular Yogurtland has been in operation dating back to 2013. I am no stranger to their frozen yogurts as they are a very popular destination in Southern California with dozens of locations. However, in Northern California, this is their only Sacramento-area location; they also have two other locations; one in Stockton and the other in Pleasant Hill/Concord. I've been at the Fair Oaks location at least a couple dozen times. Never have I had any issues with the parking as I've always found a spot directly in front of the business. The inside is also quite spacious with seating for at least 25 customers as well as two gender-neutral restrooms towards the back. The process here is quite simple as you grab your cup, make your way to all the selections (that go from left to right), top off your selection with a variety of toppings (fruit, nuts, candies, etc.), and proceed to set your cup on the small scale. This is where they weigh it by the ounce and after you're done paying, you are giving a plastic spoon. I've eaten quite a variety of flavors here; everything from the everyday favorites that includes Dutch Chocolate, Cookies & Cream, Espresso Roast, Pistachio, and Mango just to name a few. I've even tried "specialty" flavors that are promotional; the most recent is Cinnamon Churro Cereal but also some unique flavors including Strawberry Rose, Taro, and Buttered Popcorn. They even do special flavors during the holiday season including "Pumpkin Pie" in the fall and "Egg Nog" around Christmas season. All in all, "Yogurtland" is my favorite spot for frozen yogurt. In my humble opinion, they lead the pack and are ahead of other fan favorites including "Pinkberry" and "Menchies". The customer service has always been above average while the prices are quite reasonable. A great place to bring the kids and an overall decent experience. I love the variety of toppings and I'm glad the service was great since they gave free sample cups so I could try out all the new flavors. On Hump Day after dining in the center, my mother and I were craving something sweet, I personally love fro-yo so when I saw this shop I was excited! When you walk in you are instructed to wear their provided gloves, no samples are permitted and their friendly cashier is masked. I went with the Peanut Butter fro-yo with Mini Chocolate Chips, Snickers, Reese's Pieces, Nutter Butter, Peanuts, Peanut Butter Sauce, Ghirardelli Chocolate Sauce and Whipped Cream. I may have been a bit overzealous and piled the toppings high ha ha! It was a good combination, but the Snickers didn't taste like they belonged in the mix of my peanut butter dream. I would recommend paying a visit to this fro-yo shop, we got our goodies to-go and our cashier was both friendly and helpful! I am looking forward to trying more of their flavors! I came on a Thursday evening. There were two employees at the checkout. Extremely poor and unhelpful service. First off they lack the basics of smiling or greeting customers, they just basically seemed like unprofessional teenagers who have no interest in being at work. However that fact is relatively minor considering it's a place you just self serve and pay, and generally not something we think is worth writing a negative review about compared to our most recent experience. Despite our family being patrons for a couple of years, my husband had just signed up for their Yogurtland rewards earlier in the week. My husband was excited when it was clearly advertised on their website that he would receive an annual free frozen yogurt for up to $5 oh his birthday for being a member. It is still advertised as such. His birthday was going to be the same week, and we thought it would be a great treat for him and our daughter to share for his birthday so we decided to drive over and stop by. The cashiers had some kind of technical error or glitch with their rewards system where they couldn't see the birthday reward on the account, but for some reason they didn't seem to believe us. My husband reacted very calmly with patience, not thinking it would be any issue that couldn't be easily resolved and offered to show them his Yogurtland app with his rewards account, which he did, and stated he could show them his driver's license with his birthdate very politely so they could verify. You could tell they had no interest in solving the problem however, and so they played the card of "well, we can't be sure so we can't change it". It was not as if they were particularly busy either. They just said no. I asked if they could override the issue or involve someone who could if they couldn't themselves, and they said they would not do that. They both continued to behave as if me and my husband were lying that it was his birthday even though he showed them his account and we were insisting to show them the proof of his birthday. The entire time my husband stayed very patient and my daughter was being very well behaved. I mentioned we came out to utilize the birthday reward and it was my husband's actual birthday that we could show. They proceeded to throw the yogurt away since we we came in unprepared to pay. What is the point of that? There's just no excuse for this type of service and an extremely poor business practice. We had visited this location multiple times since we moved here last year and it's pretty much been a run of the mill frozen yogurt spot of relatively mediocre quality and overpriced, but the location was convenient. But with service like this we will not be back. Thankfully there are still other options like Menchie's just down the street. It's highly shortsighted business tactics if this is the way they train their people or at the very least very poor hiring and staffing decisions to have two uninterested, rude, and unprofessional teenagers who have no idea how to do customer service running a place during prime business hours and season. Don't waste your money supporting businesses with service like this with also a mediocre overpriced product when there are many comparable and better establishments close by. Love this place... clean and welcoming, nice close parking. Handicapped parking is right outside the door. The counter people are always nice and you can have as many samples as you want. The flavors changes now and then and they introduce new flavors all the time. You build your own yogurt to your liking and pay by the weight. They have a variety of toppings as well as fresh fruit. The kids and I wanted a sweet treat so we've stopped by here. The store was nice and clean. The gentlemen that was manning the cash register was nice and friendly. I settled on their Hibiscus Pear tart. It had a nice light flavor and a little tartness, I like that. It was cool and refreshing to the palette. I added mochi, some bursting bobas, and mini chocolate chips for a sweet bite. I have been coming here for years and came twice in the last 2 months and was hoping I didn't feel the need to write this review, as I am contemplating where to go for froyo on this hot Friday night and it won't be here. Last two times were terrible. Half the machines didn't have any fro-yo, many toppings were missing and it seemed like at least one of the two people working didn't care at all about their job. It was truly a weird experience the last two times. I'll try them again in a few months, but I can't afford to have bad experiences when I am treating myself once or twice a month.
