I visited Antojitos Locos in Citrus Heights, CA [7815 Sunrise Blvd] on Saturday, 03/28/26, around 2 PM. Upon entering, I noticed that the shop was cute, vibrant, and inviting. I was excited to find this spot, which offered a lot of options for Mexican snacks and treats. The example of choices included Pepino Locos, Tostilocos, Raspados, Bionicos, Banana Splits, Crepes, Elote, and more! In my visit, I proceeded to order the Esquite (#25), which came with freshly cut corn, mayonnaise, Cotija cheese and Chile powder. I also paired it with a Strawberry Agua drink. I must say that both items were amazingly great. I enjoyed the snack and drink from start to finish. The customer service was straightforward and friendly. The prices felt a little steep. The ice cream was $3 for a tiny 4 oz cup, and the cup wasn't even filled all the way, which made it feel like even less of a value. What really affected my experience was the owner, Tiffany Martinez. In my interaction with her, she came across as unfriendly and unwelcoming, which made the visit uncomfortable. Customer service makes a huge difference, and unfortunately, that was missing here. For the price, portion size, and overall experience, I personally wouldn't return or recommend this place:( So disappointing. read more

Can't believe it took me this long to come back. They make their fruit flavors IN HOUSE!! Really impressed by their use of real fruits instead of artificial flavorings. The only artificial flavors are in the snow cone. They also make real fruit icecream bars in house!! Had the strawberry kiwi which was refreshing and delicious. Had a real piece of kiwi and strawberry to bit into. In house made icecream flavors!! They have unique flavors and it looks delicious. Walked out with the guava tamarind flavor respado. For those of you dessert lovers out there, I came across another hidden gem. And this is none other than "Antojitos Locos". This place focuses on Mexican-inspired treats much like what you'd find at a mobile cart but at a much grander scale. Located in a small strip-mall on the corner of Antelope Rd. & Sunrise Blvd. in Citrus Heights, this place has been delivering some amazing sweets since late-2017. I came here with my lady on the afternoon of Monday 9/2/19 at around 12:30pm. There wasn't a single customer inside, however the employees came right out to greet us as soon as we walked in. The interior layout was extremely colorful and inviting. The bright yellow walls with red trim and an even more colorful menu only made this experience more dazzling than it already was. As far as their menu options, they carry a wide assortment of smoothies, coffee beverages, juices, frozen yogurt, milkshakes, ice cream, and fruit bowls. They even had some alternative dessert options such as nachos, waffles, and crepes. Since I am not too familiar with the Mexican desserts, everything here looked amazing as it was a nice change from your typical ice cream/smoothie shop. After glancing their menu, my lady and I finally narrowed it down and decided on their "Bionico" (for $6). This was a fruit bowl (primarily strawberries) complete with sweet crema and topped off with granola, raisins, shredded coconut, and honey. Best of all, if you check-in on your Yelp app, you can receive 20% off your entire order! The two ladies that helped us were very courteous, polite, and genuinely enjoyed what they were doing. After receiving our dessert, the overall taste and flavors absolutely hit the spot. The sweet cream with the chunky fresh bits of fruit and honey tasted almost like a deconstructed parfait. And with the amount of fresh ingredients you receive in one service, it was more than enough to feed two people. Overall, "Antojitos Locos" in Citrus Heights is well worth checking out. If you hesitated going to the little stands like I do (because I like to see a sink and running water around the people that prepare my food) then this is the place for you. I think the most expensive thing was only $12. Located on Sunrise and Antelope, behind Jack in the Box. As of 7/7/21 there was no indoor dinning. Whenever I want Ice cream I come here and get a fruit dessert or mangonada instead, a little healthier and more delicious. Came here with my niece. We wanted to try the mangonada. I first saw a posting on Facebook market. It's a small place off sunrise. We were greeted right away when we walked in. I had a few questions about the menu. The woman was very helpful in helping me decide what to choose. I ordered the mangonada..it comes in 7 different flavors and you can choose 2 flavors. I had the coconut strawberry and my niece had the mango strawberry. These are so good. The bottom is the fruit ice. Then they put fresada...pinada and this red tamarind..and I think chili powder. If you like those flavors they are refreshing and so good. The price for a small which is big like 16 oz is 4.25 and the large is 5.25. Very reasonable. We really enjoyed it. They sell other things like ice cream...floats...milkshakes... the elote corn for 3.00...nachos ect. I would for sure come back. read more

When I received it and walked out I noticed some red stuff mixed into the WHOLE thing, no big deal im sure its good. Take a bite and I about have a heart attack and had to spit it out. Its some type spicy chili pepper? My mouth is burning up and i bring it back and say i didnt know there was chili pepper stuff in the ice cream and she gives me the look like i should have known.. This was my 1st time here today and This place is great and everything is made fresh and tasted amazing and the lady that helped me was super sweet and welcoming. The restaurant was very clean and nice as well. Everything I got was all made fast and tasted great and fresh and very yummy. If you want a good tasty mangonada or a fruit cup with tajin lemon and salt this is the place ! It is really affordable prices ranging from $4-$9 max. They have other desserts like banana splits and Ice cream cones. Or you can go the healthy route and get a smoothie they have mango strawberry pineapple and more. They are excellent. Great place! First time trying. Coming the area looked a little sketchy but once inside the place is very clean and colorful. My husband ordered the sandia loco and Jamaica. The taste is the sandia loco was good very authentic the fruit was fresh and looked appetizing. The Jamaica was also very good it was fresh rather then the powdered version some restaurants carry. I would advise that they greet customers and ask if they've been here before and maybe say something about their menu, since most people probably aren't familiar with what they serve here. There's a few people ahead of me and they have been waiting too long. At this point, I've been waiting too long as well. These places are supposed to be quick. It's a snack or a dessert, there's no cooking involved. I'm hopeful for them but they have to step up their speed. Prices are fair. Tables are clean. The product itself, very good.
