The girls that work at the counter are sweet and helpful, so my complaint is more to do with the topping selection. I usually like fresh fruit on my froyo, but this location has 3 fruit options: strawberries, blueberries, and canned peaches. Unfortunately, 99% of the time, the blueberries are mushy and old, and the strawberries are usually empty and the ones in the bottom of the container are old and discolored. Respasados were much like your vendors out on the streets. They are super sweet tho. You can mix flavors if you'd like upon request. $11 for all 3. Got a $1 discount for checking in on Yelp too. Originally came for froyo but half of the flavors were not available. They pretty much had ur basic flavors like chocolate, vanilla, tarte, etc. The women who was working was also super sweet. She gave us a free wafer to add on top of our strawberry respasado. It did take her a while to make them since she was working alone. read more

I will say that "Lickity Split Yogurt" is one of the better frozen yogurt shops that I have come across. Located in a very quiet strip mall directly on Madison Ave. and nearby Dewey Dr. in the Fair Oaks/Carmichael area of Sacramento, this little place has been cooling off thousands of its customers ever since the late 2010's. Parking is never as issue since many businesses around this area are closed. I've just started coming here on a regular basis as this place happens to be only 1.4 miles from my house as well as being the only true, dedicated frozen yogurt shop in my neck of the woods. For awhile, I've been going to other more popular places such as "Yogurtland", "Pinkberry", & "Menchies". But those that know me already know I love supporting small businesses. The inside of this place is very small but spacious enough for at least a half dozen customers to move around comfortably. As far as the frozen yogurt choices, they have a very limited selection (which equals around 6 flavors total). Here you find their popular Euro tart flavor but some of the more popular choices such as country vanilla & Cable Car chocolate. I also saw a few unique offerings such as cotton candy & cake batter. The process here is very simple; grab your size cup, and add your fro-yo. Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, you were able to self-serve your toppings of choice (and it was a huge variety). They offered brownie bites, M&M's, Reeses Pieces, chocolate covered pretzels, peanuts, marshmallows, rainbow sprinkles, & much more. As of June 2021, you still must ask the cashier to add the toppings so I am hoping it reverts back to how it was soon. This place also has a ton of syrups to completely customize your dessert. Caramel, hot fudge, marshmallow, butterscotch, this place has you covered. However, the only drawback is that they do NOT offer any fresh fruits. Overall, the weight per ounce is a very good deal compared to some of the other places in the area. I was able to get a decent sized cup for just under $4. Not to mention, they have a rewards card where for every 5 cups that are stamped, you get up to 3 oz. for FREE on your 6th cup! All in all, "Lickity Split" is a wonderful, above average small business. The lady that has helped me every time is very sweet. My rating, four stars. read more

Tucked into the corner of a shopping center. Parking is a tad weird for it's location. There was no one in there but employees/family and all parking spots in front were taken. The store is very small. If there were 3 customers it'd get a tad claustrophobic. They have about 8 flavors. One was not working and just shot out liquid. The yogurt machines were very slow. They did have some dairy free options. One or two. Toppings, there were a lot but some containers were almost empty and looked a tad filmy, as in they needed a wipe down. I've been to Lickity Split Yogurt a few times and finally leaving a review. The customer service is always great and the employees are doing an awesome job! They have great frozen yogurt, a good selection of toppings such as: gummy bears, chocolate chips, cereal, fruit, crumbled cheesecake, and the list just goes on. It's self-serve so you just grab a cup and make what you want, the way you want it. They charge by weight and the prices can get out of control really quickly if you aren't careful. This totally satisfied my froyo craving! There's a decent variety of flavors(10ish) with a couple fat free and sugar free options as well as dole whip. I'm not really a toppings person so I don't have a lot of input there, but it seems like a pretty normal selection. It's good standard frozen yogurt, but where they really shine is cleanliness and customer service. It was completely spotless when we came in and smelled like it had just been cleaned, additionally staff were wearing masks. The woman who helped us was very kind and friendly and was very generous with the loyalty card punches. Slightly unrelated, but the name of this place sent my cute grandma into a total giggle fit (which is always a treat in itself.) It took me a while to come here, predominantly because the overall star rating on Yelp is relatively low, but upon further inspection, I noticed most of the bad reviews are over 7 years old and am so glad I gave it a chance. I also almost didn't notice it because it's hidden in a very quiet strip mall but it's a clean, sweet little shop with outstanding service and I really recommend giving it a try! read more

I didn't know about this place even though I drive past it often until I bumped into a very nice (and friendly) woman at a supermarket, started a conversation with her and found out about it. She also happened to be the owner. I took my kids to Lickity Split and they loved it. I think their yogurt cup weight was mostly toppings. There are so many toppings to choose from it's quite the treat. They have a few yogurt flavors to choose from and a lemonade sorbet too. I was curious about the lemonade and Brandon (the guy working there last time) offered me a tiny cup to get a taste test. I tasted it and I know that during the summer this is going to be my favorite. I was in the mood for something different and so I had the peanut butter & chocolate swirl, no toppings... So good! I think next time I'm going for the big bucket. The place is done up so pretty; it's very welcoming. Limited seating inside but there is also a sitting area outside. I'm glad I found out about this place as I can see it becoming a favorite for me and my kids. read more

This review is actually for 3.5 stars, but since I'm feeling generous today I rounded up. The yogurt consistency is meltier than I would like. Also, there were only five flavors - call me spoiled, but if there are six dispensers I would expect all of them to contain different flavors. I do like their "tart" option though! I had no idea this place existed! A 2-for-1 coupon tempted me to come here seeing it was not too far. Also, I'm a sucker for 2-for-1 coupons. You know, I think business owners actually read these reviews. I read the latest review in which Ted S. lamented on the lack of marshmallow sauce. Well, Ted, we got marshmallow sauce. Also Justin B. commented on the canned fruit aspect. Let me tell you Justin, there were frozen berries - strawberries, blueberries and raspberries. No canned fruit to be found. Mind you, it was not FRESH fruit, but when your yogurt is frozen anyways, they kind of go nicely together. The decor could be improved, yes, but for a corner strip mall at a busy intersection, there isn't too much you can do. Also I like the face that the afternoon sun is behind you and not baking you if you sit outside. You get a nice view of zooming cars, wide parking lot and the backside of Adalberto's. Oh - while I'm at it, it would be nice if mochi were a topping option. I am going to check back in a few weeks to see if it magically appears...like all the other Yelp suggestions! read more

Lickety Split offers 6 different flavors plus the 3 swirls of whatever those are. There is a great selection of toppings and 3 different sizes of cups (though you need to ask for the smallest, "kid size" which is kept behind the counter). The seasonal decor is a bit kitschy, but it's a great place to stop if you're in the neighborhood. The new owners brought back a rewards program, by 10 get one free. I could only wish for a guaranteed no sugar added option each time since I'm a diabetic. It's a nice bonus whenever they have it though. read more

Frozen Yogurt is something I always look forward to having. Today I was in Fair Oaks for a business meeting and thought I'd test out a new location. Overall I was pleased with the visit. Negatives Yogurt selection was poor. There were six flavors to choose from : red velvet cake, vanilla, mint, chocolate, raspberry, and original tart. The mint flavor was out of yogurt, however I tried the rest. I wasn't to impressed with the flavors, but the original tart is always my fall back. The raspberry was no sugar added and tasted artificial and unsweetened, not a good duo. The fruit choices were also slim and the fruit was pretty much empty. Positives Because the selection was so low I was able to taste everything fairly quickly and made my decision making easier. The array of cereals and candies was vast, so if you like to load your fro-yo with those you will be pleased. Although there was limited fruit options my fruit was fresh and sweet. The fruit paired nicely with my plain tart. It was affordable, and the cups were cute! (my Yogurt was my normal size and I spent $4) The restroom, clean and smelled nicely. The best part of the whole experience was the kindness of the one employee. She was young and looked edgy, but had the most genuine smile and diligence for working. I could tell she liked her job and it made the decent Yogurt spot above average. I would return if I was in the area, but it is unlikely I would consider it when making recommendations for frozen yogurt to others. read more

I made the drive out here last year because I found out they have pumpkin froyo. For anyone that knows me, pumpkin is my go-to seasonal flavor once fall comes around. Their pumpkin froyo was everything I anticipated and more. Their froyo quality tastes excellent and it's a plus that they have my favorite seasonal flavor, too, especially since pumpkin froyo is hard to find. I only wish they had one of these locations closer to where I live. read more

I give it four stars because it doesn't have the yummiest toppings and yummiest flavors. But, one time I went to Lickety Split and there was this flavor. It was called Irish Mint, and I loved it. It was the best frozen yogurt flavor I ever had. This would be a place where I would get it and go home. There is not many places to sit and all you just see out there is a parking lot. read more

My two daughters loved the yogurt-it was good but nothing special- Now the customer service-not very friendly-we were the only ones and not a smile from the lady, no asking if we needed any help or had any questions and when my youngest got gumballs on hers and said she was going to eat one-then the lady talked and said oh no you can't! OK, the wife and I returned to Lickity Split the other day for second go, because we got a coupon in the mail. Over the past few months, we've been going to Big Spoon -- even though it's farther away -- because we'd determined it had a better selection of toppings. Well, turns out that Big Spoon not only has more toppings, but better-quality toppings. My wife likes to put fruit on her yogurt (whereas I'm all about candy and baked goods) -- and she says the fruit at Lickity isn't that great. It doesn't taste particularly fresh. Also, Lickity's yogurt seems to be meltier than Big Spoon's -- and their whipped cream tasted kinda funny. So sorry, Lickity: You're not bad -- but you're no Big Spoon. read more

Very VERY small place. The people that work here are kind of rude, or they're really weird. One of them told me she hated her job working there & when we left to go outside, she went outside & started smoking WHILE there were customers around. The yogurt machines are VERY slow & they have weird flavors together. Some of the crumbles are also pretty hard to get out of the containers. The yogurt was alright, but nothing special. read more
