So much fun watching all the young kids coming in and soooo excited because they know the drill!:) Run in, grab their cup, pull the lever...they are in Yogurt heaven. But the real fun starts with all those inviting and must have tempting toppings! OMG... hilarious watching them shovel as much as they can in their cups. Parents are definitely loving it too. Ok. Had a great dining experience next door and decided dessert was in order. Older teenagers sitting outside... 5 or 6... at a table enjoying their yogurt and just having a chill time. As we entered, I noticed only one employee working very hard (but really organized) to keep up with the constant flow of parents/kids. She was doing a great job. Before we left another worker arrived to help. I checked out the menu and saw Gunthers ice cream was available. OMG. I cannot tell you the last time I had the opportunity to order that! I excitedly asked for two scoops... cookie dough and caramel ice cream in a cup. Sitting in a very well lit room eating that delicious ice cream hit the spot. Gunthers is sooo good. My family and I stopped in for dessert after dinner at Matteo's next door - my daughter and nephew both got half Pineapple and half Pomegranate with toppings. I didn't get anything, but I browsed the flavors and noticed that they had a Stok's Cold Brew flavor which is my favorite cold brew. I'm kicking myself now for not trying it, but you know...summer bod and all...am I right? They only offer two cup sizes and like all froyo places, they weigh your concoction to see what the damage is - which was a bit steep. They had a bunch of toppings, but nothing that really stood out to me. The toppings bar seemed like it needed a deep clean and refresh in my opinion. Staff was nothing special, just a young lady working her summer job. I did try my daughter's creation and was pleasantly surprised at how much I liked the pineapple and pomegranate flavors. Yeah terrible!! The girl in there decided store closes at 9:30 instead of 10, as listed. I get wanting to close early and get home but this is your job AND she was extremely rude about it. I don't understand why we couldnt get our froyo in the 30 minutes that were left and leave. Simple and quick. It was just me and one other person. Getting froyo is a 10 minutes max experience. This employee would have then had 20 minutes to close. This was the girl closing on Thursday night, March 25th. She was rude and obviously not doing her job, skipping some steps. read more

Well, we decided to go back after a couple of years of not going to this place. Unfortunately, it was still no good. We thought things may have changed, but it's too bad that the owner has let it go this far. When asking for a sample, the person that works there, usually a young teenager, has to go around the counter to give us the sample. Rather than us doing it ourselves. We are adults and like all other yogurt, places, they give us the little sample cups to do let us sample it ourselves. Secondly, the flavors that they have are not flavorful at all. They must cut it down with something? Their cookies and cream did not taste of hardly anything. The prices are still outrageous. $10 for hardly any frozen yogurt and only one topping. The place looks empty, not inviting at all, and I am surprised they are still open with a business like this. There are so many other better places for frozen yogurt and I'm sad to say we will not be coming back again. Only trying to help those that want to have tasty frozen yogurt, friendly workers, not a rude owner, a warm atmosphere and a good price. It's too bad it's NOT at Crazy For Yogurt! He is so helpful with yogurt samples and never complains when I have a long or annoying order. One time my husband even spilled Oreos all over the floor and he was super nice about it. My daughter and I came in-- there was no one so being the kid she is she put yogurt on her finger and out of the back comes a "do you want sample cups" of course right, so on his way to get those he opens the door and shouts What The F**k we come to pay (for what we should've left but my daughter doesn't understand what just happened) I am getting my card out of my wallet and he put his hand in my face as if I am taking up too much of his time! I just returned to Crazy for Yogurt after an 8 month hiatus and found the policy for obtaining samples had changed. Instead of customers retrieving their own samples, a staff member must get them for customers. It appears the ownership has changed, and for the worse. I asked a worker (who appeared to be the owner/manager) when the policy changed and he said two years ago! Not true as this policy was not in place when I last visited. I can only speculate as to why he would be dishonest. After he walked away I asked another worker when the policy changed. He said it changed a couple of months ago. That makes sense. I hadn't returned to this location since December when Crazy for Yogurt staff exhibited blatant disregard for public health and safety and chose to work without utilizing face coverings as required by Sac County at the time. (see attached picture) When I asked the person working the register why she and her coworkers were not complying with the mandate, she said it was because it was too confusing for the customers.... some days wear a mask other days don't wear a mask, "so we decided not to wear them at all." B. S. I finally gave them another chance today and found they wouldn't accept a $10 gift card that I'd received when I had purchased an item from the Del Dayo School auction. It appears the new management does not honor gift cards that were issued before he acquired this business. The card was "too old." Pity. They do have great fro yo! Back in the day, I'd get CFY at least 3 or 4 times a month since I live right across the street from them. Forget it now! Ill keep going to Baskin Robbins. read more

Just ate here, and when we came in we told the young man working this afternoon that this was our first time in Crazy for Yogurt.  So he said, "Let me show you around."  They have frozen yoghourt, ice cream, shaved ice, and Italian ice ... WOW!  And a VERY large selection of dry toppings, as well as wet toppings, such as hot fudge, caramel, etc. So, the frozen yoghourt was very good, but what really puts this place over the top was the service ... a very pleasant let-me-serve-you, with a smile, attitude.  Hopefully the other employees are as nice, efficient, and friendly as this young man;  if not, the manager should have this guy train the others. We agreed that we'd be back, and hopefully the great experience we had today will be repeated next time! read more

I can only rate this place a 1 and that's because the yogurt does taste good. The other things brought my value down. I took my son in today and the place was a mess and we were the only customers there. You would think the yogurt staff worker amidst Covid outbreaks and other nasty things out right now would grab a rag and keep all of the container tops somewhat clean. Also, nothing was refilled or up to snuff stock wise except for yogurt cups. The counters were dirty and the floor was with aberrant small trash on the ground as well. What happened to this place? The staff use to tend to what was going on in their shop much better. It's either time for some effective training or lose valued customers. There are too many close by substitutes in the area. The service and food was amazing. The decor is all colorful and cheerful, so it's amazing! Basically everything is self service. You can get frozen yogurt by yourself as well as ice cream and choose as many toppings as you would like. You pay by weight, not by size of cup. The heavier the ice cream of frozen yogurt is, the more you have to pay. They also have shaved ice, smoothies, and floats. Another impulse Groupon deal purchase brought myself and my Husband here one afternoon for a small treat. The deal was 2 Crazy Creamwiches for $4:50 (usually $4 each). First impressions was ''Wow, they have everything!''. Looking around as I spotted self serve Frozen Yogurt, Gelato, Cookies and Brownies by the register and a freezer with Ice Pops, Frozen Banana's and pre packed flavors to go. The Gelato display itself was very impressive with over a dozen flavors all with the offer of a sample to help you decide what to get. The young girl serving was really nice and explained the Crazy Creamwich concept to us, basically you choose your Gelato flavor and they then sandwich it in between a warm powdered Doughnut. It sounds incredibly sweet and sickly but they're fairly small and the Gelato isn't sweet but creamy so it balances it out a little. My Husband and I both choose the same flavor. The 'wich was ok but where the components were great alone I felt like combining them they kind of lost their flavor and appeal so I ended up using a spoon to eat the Gelato and then ate the Doughnut separate. I don't know if they buy the Doughnuts in or also make them themselves but they're some of the better we have had, even from Doughnuts shops. The Yogurt offerings have great variation of flavors and a huge amount of toppings in the toppings bar and all kept really clean with both inside and outside seating. I am a loyal customer to this establishment. I often come here after book club, trial, or my grandchildren's various sports games. As much as I love the memories I have made here I find myself disappointed by the overall lack of integrity. My husband and I used to enjoy caramel kettle corn on Saturday afternoons. After his long battle with liver cancer that he eventually lost I can't bring myself to eat it without him. When Crazy for Yogurt added the caramel kettle corn flavor to their rotation it brought me back to the beautiful times I spent with him. It feels like my George is here with me again. Unfortunately this flavor has become rare, only appearing at random times. I can feel my heart drop when I step through the doorway to see it replaced with another flavor like bubblegum. I don't know how much more of this hope and disappointment I can take. As much as I love this establishment I may have to give up on the little things that take me back and accept that it is lost. I beg for the addition of caramel kettle corn to a more regular roster. I would also appreciate if the store would stop closing early. My grandson, Joseph suffers from autism and is often distressed by irregularity and closing 20 minutes early can trigger him. This problem is only worsened by his intense abandonment issues from his birth mother. I would deeply appreciate any understanding for my complex familial situation. Well well what did I just stumble upon? I was a regular at Pink berry as well as Menchies bit this place kinda blows both of those spots out the water. The texture of the yogurt is harder than menchies which means you could, theoretically take it for to go. They have a few different topping bars so you don't feel all crammed. Great selections of toppings everything from candy bars, cereal, fresh fruits and flavored Kochi. They have weekly specials too like 20% off on Tuesdays which is awesome. The place was clean. The flavors were delicious and although it's not as close as menchies or pink berry, I will definitely be back sooner rather than later! read more

They're not enforcing masks. There were seven other patrons in the shop just now and six of them were unmasked breathing over the communal self-serve toppings. Four of the six patrons were children too young to be vaccinated but old enough to be able to wear a mask. I have been coming here for years. The last few times I have been here the service, the cleanliness, and the food quality has been poor. The girl working today 4/26/2023 2:20pm clearly does not want to be here. I had to ring the bell three times for her to come out of the back to help me. I used the restroom which hasn't had a cleaning in who knows how long. The toilet bowl has black lines running around and down the inside of the bowl. Could be mold or feces. The floor is filthy and the garbage can has paper towels spilling all over the floor and it looks like someone threw up under the sink. The nut topping have a rotten old taste I got a new plain yogurt and would put nothing on it. The chocolate stuffs is old and white in color. The Reese's pieces have yogurt in them that has clumped them all together. When I made comments to the worker she could have cared less, just asked me if I wanted a spoon or a lid! read more

The Crazy For Yogurt shop blew me away. I honestly don't know where to start. First, this is a fantastic yogurt shop. There are at least a dozen different flavors to choose from, with several sorbet options for the lactose-intolerant. The yogurt is super sweet and super smooth. After ordering it, if you let it sit for about 5 minutes, it may just become your absolute favorite frozen yogurt of all time. Next, there is a lot more than just yogurt here. From shaved ice to 50-50s, frozen yogurt to smoothies, cookies and pastries, and so much more, there is absolutely a delicious treat for everyone. I had the pleasure of trying the dole whip and rocky road ice cream. I was transported to another world, a sweet world of love and delight and magic. Honestly, both treats were that delicious. Third, the place was extremely clean for being a big, busy yogurt shop with tons of treats! The tables were wiped clean, the floor was spotless, and the countertops and register area were immaculate. The different desserts were carefully, neatly separated with the work area around them being without a smear or stain or slab of yogurt. I was thoroughly impressed. For the entire time I was there, if their server on shift, Michael, wasn't playing around with the kids, serving the food or drinks, or ringing up orders, he was cleaning, tidying and stocking to make the place great for the customers. This is a brand new self serve frozen yogurt shop that just opened in the 24 Hour Fitness/ Bella Bru shopping center at the corner of Arden and Fair Oaks. It is in the location of the previous Coldstone and I could not be happier! Decent selection of yogurt flavors, priced reasonably at $0.40 an ounce. Good selection of toppings, sauces, and fresh fruit as well. My only complaint is that they don't have melted marshmallow... which is one of my favorites! The toppings were nice and fresh :) Mochi were awesome! ( not dried out like many other yogurt places ) They also serve quite a selection of gelato which I have not tried yet. They do accept major credit cards and don't seem to have a minimum (since I was able to charge just over $4). The shop itself is simple, a few tables, a freezer, which looks like they do some custom cakes? There are even a few tables outside which I'm sure will be packed once the weather heats up. The place is clean and the service was friendly. Bottom line: Yea!!! So happy to finally get a yogurt place in this part of town. Loved this place. I had seen this place for a while, but never been. They had a fundraiser for my neighbors who were in a horrific car accident and the father and youngest child passed, so they had a fundraiser here to help raise money for the family. This is a locally owned yogurt shop, what I love is they also have GELATO...talk about threatening me with a good time!! They had good selections of frozen yogurt. excellent toppings from fresh fruit, to candy, and whip cream, syrup, etc. My son chose gelato, I tasted a few of the gelatos...DELICIOUS to say the very least.
