Came here post workout with a friend and I've never seen such an extensive menu with both good ingredients and macros easily listed! The owner was very nice and courteous. We tried the #2 Mango, Pineapple and Banana and #3 Mango, Pineapple and Spinach. I'm pretty unphased by protein and low sugar taste so this hit the spot perfectly for me. Next time I'm working out in the area I'll probably give the protein donuts a try too. Indoor seating is a bit limited but it seems like a very family friendly place as there's lots of games for kids to pass time too. Will be back soon!

I came here for the first time with my gf. It was great. The customer service was amazing. The lady behind the counter was so friendly and nice. They had lots of great nutritional information on all their items. Which was great. The place was spacious and very well decorated for the holidays. Mix of seating options. Along with some different board game options as well. We ordered açaí, strawberry and bananas bowls, plus shared a protein waffle plate. Then because we were new customers we also got a free cinnamon protein donut. The açaí bowls and waffle were great. Really yummy and full of flavor in every bite. Plus, they were all a great size for the calories. Fruit was crisp and fresh. We loved it and plan to come back when we are in the area.

I had the pleasure of meeting the owner today! I have been going to this place for a little bit and she was so lovely and we had a nice chat! Me and my boyfriend love going here after working out! I have only ever tried their strawberry banana, protein smoothie and their blueberry protein smoothie, but I always see people getting their donuts and their açai bowls. I am so excited to try more things here and you will not regret giving your support to this amazing business!!

My wife and I were looking for a dairy-free breakfast option and we found it! Protein place has dairy free options such as soy & pea protein. We ordered a few bowls and a protein coffee. The staff was very sweet and patient. The cafe area was tidy and has toys for young kids to play. Since it was our first visit they blessed us with a free protein donut! Support this small business

Love this place. Ambiance is quite cute and relaxing, the customer service was great, and the food delicious. When I said I was looking for something that could be consumed in about two hours post workout, the woman at the counter gave me quite a few suggestions on what the best meal for me could be. She also threw in a protein donut when I said it was my first time, as it was getting near closing and she said they had lots of donuts left that day. Guess what? The meal she suggested--a chocolate protein bowl base with banana, peanut butter, whipped cream and chocolate chips--was absolutely delicious post workout. The donut was great for breakfast the next day. Went back and brought a friend, and this time I met the owner. She was friendly and warm, too. It was nice talking about growing to fit the needs of the community, as the food here is gluten free and diabetic friendly. Looking forward to going back and trying all of the protein bowls!

After meaning to try this place for ages I finally did it! My teenage football player and I stopped by yesterday for my lunch and his pre workout snack. It's absolutely everything I thought and needed it to be. Tons of options for macro friendly meal replacements, post workout shakes or something extra depending on what you're looking for. Lots of flavors to choose from. Chocolate and delicious? Yep! Fun and fruity? You bet! And what I absolutely love the very most is their customer service. Such a sweet couple working hard to make you smile and make you a sweet treat. Even better when the treat keep you on the path to your protein goals! Looking forward to my next visit already.

Acai bowl.. the one on the right has peanut butter

Was in the area because my niece and I were Craving for Acai bowls. Found this place.. Acai bowls are sooooo goood.. staff is really nice!!!

I always get the Reese's Protein Shake. They have a new menu idea, Churro Protein Cheesecake. I tried the cheesecake today and it was absolutely delicious! I cannot wait to grab some more! This place is a hidden gem. It also tastes way better than Nekter. Low sugar or sweetened with stevia. Their place is spotless. Support family owned and operated businesses!

Wow! Just wow! Just went in for the first time and the food is incredible! Super nice owners, they were so sweet to talk to and even gave me a free donut to try, protein of course, it was amazing! gluten friendly place too:) 10/10

All Protein and Sugar Free I follow The Protein Place in Instagram and have been meaning to try the delicious items on their menu. Waffles, Donuts, Açaí Bowls, Shakes plus more... yes, please! It's a little bit out of my way so I had to plan my visit since they close shop before I get off work on my less busy days -- Thursdays and Fridays. They had just recently opened late last year, 12/1/22, I finally made it here this past weekend. The interior is modern and very clean. Nice aesthetics. The menu had a lot of options. A bit on the pricey side. I ordered the Strawberry Banana Power Bowl. They were generous on the serving and the fruits were fresh. Daughter loved her Fruity Pebbles shake (#30). It was a tall cup and she finished it all. Employees were helpful and friendly. I'd come back again to try the shake. Review #2938

A Great Breakfast Stop After a Hike in Auburn! We came here…read morefor breakfast during the week after a hike in Auburn. We had just finished the Lake Clementine/Dam hike and were very hungry afterward, so we headed into town and ended up at Mario's. First of all, Mario's is a very pretty space. I loved the black-and-white aesthetic and the simple but thoughtful décor. There's bar seating, booths, and tables both inside and outside. Parking is plentiful, so that's definitely not an issue. I started with a regular latte, while my cousin ordered a chai latte. My latte was beautiful and served in a very original, deep, low cup that I absolutely loved. It was delicious and just perfect. Unfortunately, the chai latte wasn't really to our liking. It didn't taste much like chai to us--it had a strong cinnamon flavor and a combination of flavors that made it difficult to tell exactly what we were drinking. So, the chai was definitely not our favorite. For breakfast, I ordered what I would call their breakfast sampler, with eggs, bacon, and hash browns, which also came with a portion of French toast. My cousin ordered their Monte Cristo sandwich. My eggs and hash browns were amazing, and there was plenty of bacon! I chose all bacon, and it was thick-cut, smoky, and cooked to perfection. The plates here are HUGE, and the portions are definitely abundant. My cousin's Monte Cristo was their lighter take on the classic. Instead of being deep-fried, their version is dipped in batter and cooked, which makes it a little less heavy. It looked beautiful and had plenty of ingredients inside, but for us, it was just okay. We've definitely had better Monte Cristo sandwiches. Now, the French toast... WOW. This was easily my favorite part of the meal. The bread had this delicious cinnamon-sugar coating on top that took it to another level. Add the soft, fluffy butter and maple syrup, and it was absolutely superb. That French toast alone would bring me back! I also appreciated the nice, cold ice water that was kept at our table throughout the meal. Service was super nice and pretty quick, especially considering how busy they were. I also loved how many options they give you to customize your meal. I could choose between different types of bacon, sausage, or turkey, and my cousin was able to customize her sandwich and ended up choosing cottage cheese to go with a healthier, higher-protein option. They also have sweet potato fries, regular fries, and plenty of other sides that you can substitute depending on what you're looking for. The ambiance was great, everything was clean and well maintained, and even the bathrooms were in good condition. Overall, this was a very good breakfast experience. Not everything was a home run for us, but the service, atmosphere, generous portions, customization options, and especially that French toast made it a place I'd definitely recommend if you're in the area. And after a hike? Even better!

Delicious butter and jam served with the biscuit made everything better. Again, the potatoes were exceptional. Some were crispy. All were par cooked. Seasoning was perfect. I did have to douse the omelette in pepper and hot sauce. My only regret: Failing to ask for a to-go cup for my $5.50 fresh squeezed orange juice.

Unfortunately, we left wondering how it has such a high rating. I ordered the Country Scramble. The potatoes seemed boiled rather than fried and were very soft and mushy. That made the entire scramble watery and mushy as well. On the positive side, the sourdough toast was good. The biggest issue, though, was the cleanliness. In the bathroom, I saw three dead cockroaches and what appeared to be rat droppings around the edges of the floor. That was extremely unpleasant and honestly made it difficult to feel comfortable eating there. Based on our experience with both the food and cleanliness, my wife and I would not recommend Hungry Hollow Café, and we would not return.
