We were walking in the town with our dog and found this spot with plenty of outdoor seating so we decided to have breakfast here. It's a cute little cafe with some french decor to sell you that this is a French cafe. We ordered a latte and macha latte and the drinks were just okay. We also got the frittata and the oeuf mollet. My mollet was good but not great in large part because the potatoes weren't all fully cooked. The onion jam was very tasty and of course, who dislikes gruyere cheese? But the undercooked potatoes ruined the experience a little. The service is great and they even brought out a water bowl for our dog. Definitely worth going. read more

My new favorite spot. Can one eatery establishment do it all well? YesI stumbled in and didn't leave without loading up on deserts. The breakfast menu looks great. I had a cafe mocha double shot. Can't believe this business would serve moldy food. This is a slice of carrot cake I got to-go. When I got home and took a few bites I noticed all the green in the cake (yes, after the bites uuugh) I called and told them, but they said it was apple. I honestly couldn't believe they'd serve something like this since I had gone there a few other times. Sure the service isn't the best, but I like to support local businesses. When I got off the phone, I dug through to see if it was apple (although, I completely knew it wasn't) and sure enough all the carrot slices were moldy. I tried calling them back but they picked up the phone and hung up. Not sure if that is a coincidence or if they screened my call. So, I wrote them a message on Instagram and sent the pictures. No response at all. I won't return. Sad because like I said, I enjoy supporting local businesses. I can overlook crappy customer service to a certain extent, but moldy food? Definitely not. Now, I seriously question the freshness and quality of their food...and the ethics of their business. You couldn't even acknowledge this? Ridiculous. Came in on a whim to buy a sweet something to bring to my friends house and I was so pleasantly surprised! I was sad there wasn't a whole foods in vicinity because i usually get desserts from their bakery out of convenience - so when O cafe popped up - i perked up! Very cute divey breakfast spot with pies and cakes in display cases - one that rotates and the simple ones found in fancy bakeries. Service was quick - especially since they have separate line for "to go" purchases. Got the fruit tart pie and it was yummy! So glad this bakery was in a location midway to my friends house - my friends asked me where the tart was from because it was so yummy! I would definitely come back to do a breakfast or buy more yummy desserts for a gathering since I have both friends and family in these neighborhoods! read more

Service is really wonderful. The ambiance is okay - it's a small place without a ton of seating options especially if you make it in during any of the times you would want café foods. The carrot cake is probably the best carrot cake I've had in the area - perfectly spongy with a stunning carrot flavor perfectly balanced by warm spices and just the right amount of frosting. The almond pear tart base is overly dense and lacks enough sugar or flavor to impart any kind of flavor and ends up just being a bland, dense paste. The filling is alright, heavily relying on the almond paste flavor that you almost lose the pear flavor. The drinks are average, and in a blind taste between their drinks and my homemade attempts I don't think I could differentiate. read more

A Parisian-themed cafe. We have been here a few times to pick up pastries to go. Our family's favorite is the berry scone. The almond croissant is good too! Today we decided to try their breakfast offerings. We ordered the breakfast burrito and the avocado toast with eggs. The burrito was good. The toast was not what I had expected. See photo. It is more like have salsa and guacamole served with bread sticks. The "guacamole" was too salty for my preference. I don't recommend the avocado toast. I like the vibe of O Café. I arrived around 11:30 on a Sunday morning. They were somewhat busy, but not packed. I ordered a pastry and a latte--they gave me the pastry and a number, and I sat down to wait. After about 15-20 minutes, with staff walking by my table, no one checked in to see if I was still waiting. Finally, a gentleman asked if I was still expecting something, and when I said yes, he admitted my coffee order had been overlooked. The latte eventually came, but I didn't really get a sense of empathy from the staff--it was just set down quickly and that was that. O Cafe is one of my favorite cafes in the area! I came by on Sunday (2.23) for a late lunch with my friend. It was about 2 pm and they close at 3 pm but they were still fairly busy. I like how clean it always is and that there's plenty of seating on the inside and outside as well. We wanted to be mindful of their closing time so we quickly ordered. The cashier was super sweet and friendly! My friend and I both got the BLT sandwich but I customized mine to be vegetarian. I love love love the O Cafe! I wanted to leave a review for a while now. I was going to this place before it opened as the O. At first, I thought what a funny name! Checked it out, and it checks off all my boxes. I just wish it were open longer, so I could take my family there for meals sometimes. I've never had anything there that I didn't like. I've always had good experiences here and have been coming for years, which is why today's visit was especially disappointing. I ordered a small cappuccino, and when the drink came out it felt extremely light. When I opened the lid, it was only about halfway filled with foam that was already dissolving. I understand that cappuccinos are meant to be light, but this felt like barely any drink at all, especially for almost eight dollars. I politely went back to the counter and asked if it would be possible to remake it. The cashier was very kind and understanding, and we were already agreeing on a solution. However, the barista who made the drink interrupted our conversation and insisted that I was wrong and that the drink was made correctly. For context, I worked as a barista for four years at several coffee shops, including Temple Coffee, which is well known locally for its training and coffee standards. In all the cafés I've worked at, a cappuccino has never been served half empty like this. To avoid having the same issue happen again, I asked if the remake could simply be a vanilla latte instead. Unfortunately, the replacement drink was also wrong. Instead of a vanilla latte, I was given a black coffee with a splash of oat milk and vanilla, I didn't realize the mistake until I was already halfway home. At that point I was extremely disappointed. Having two drinks made incorrectly in the same order is frustrating, especially after I was very clear when ordering the vanilla latte. The staff did give me a refund, which I appreciate. However, the combination of the interaction and two incorrect drinks made this a very unpleasant experience. I've enjoyed the food and coffee here in the past, which is why this was so surprising. I'm hoping this was just an off day, but I do think it's something management should be aware of so it doesn't happen to other customers. read more

This is a seat yourself restaurant indoor or outdoor. Counter service only. The staff were friendly. However, they do deliver your food to the table. We ordered two of the Omelets Make your own with all of the ingredients. The food was fresh, delicious and flavorful. There was Blues music playing which, was definitely different. Was busy on a Thursday morning at 10 am but found a seat right away and were finished eating by 10:35 bc the food was out so fast. The coffee was delicious as was the food: Croque Madame: 5/5. Egg was a perfect over medium ( where they rarely are at most places) and the salad was a refreshing side to the rich main. Delicious little slice of France in old town fair oaks. You order at the counter and they bring your food out and buss the tables. Good and friendly service. They have the best galettes I have tried outside of France. Absolutely delicious, but left me a little hungry...I would get two next time for myself haha. This is a Fair Oaks Village GEM. If you ask me, best breakfast in town. Vibe is: bustling Parisian cafe with hot coffee and fresh baked pastries. My 5 year old is a big fan. If you like avocado toast, you MUST try theirs. Toasted focaccia slices with an avocado spread on the side. The win? No soggy bread! Get the avocado toast with a side of eggs and you have a delish breakfast. They also have buckwheat crepes that are to die for. Country breakfast is also good. They have the cutest petite French toast plate with a side of fruit and yogurt parfait. I LOVE THE AMBIENCE. Always nice music playing. Friendliest staff keeps us coming back. Decided to give this place a second try, last time I got the hot white mocha and it was okay drinkable, this time I got it iced and I knew it was made poorly as soon as they handed it to me base off the color. It was 95% milk, 3% ice, 1% creamer and 1% coffee. It was not drinkable. Waste of 7 dollars. Ambiance was fair it seemed like they didn't have their air conditioning on it was pretty hot inside. read more
