Matcha taste like dirt, not worth it. Asked for my $ back and they said I ordered it and it's my problem I didn't like it. Ended up throwing it away. Customer service not the best.

Fantastic bakery and cafe! Friendly staff, amazing modern decor and chill artistic ambiance. Delicious gluten free treats, breads, and beyond. Do yourself a favor and support this establishment.

Absolutely loved it here! Great little spot that is parent AND kid friendly. We've been having their bread since they were at the midtown farmers market and now that they have a brick and mortar location, we had to check it out. We got a couple cookies, brownie, and a couple sandwiches. The sandwich was phenomenal. Bread came out warm and soft (not usually what you expect with gf bread) and it was killer. The owner saw our daughter doing one of the puzzles and he came over and was thrilled to see her doing it because they had just gotten the game section put in yesterday. Lots of fun games that are for all ages, so it definitely makes this place kid friendly, keeps em busy! I'm glad to see the owners doing so great, we will definitely be back. Just a shame it's far from where we live!

We poked our heads in and were totally impressed and intrigued! This bakery/lounge is totally gluten free and vegan most times. The ambiance was so inviting. They had the largest selection of gluten free items that I have seen in a while. Please check them out!

Went back to have lunch was joined by my mom and grandma. None of us are vegan or gluten free this is in the same parking lot of my son's classes so we decided to try for lunch. OMG so freaking good. My son and I split a sandwich and pizza and it was amazing. My mom and grandma had this cheese boat thing with an egg on it. We all loved it. We decided to meet here once a month for lunch! The staff is always so kind and friendly. This little gem is a must try even if you aren't gluten free!

Stopped in after an appointment in the area to grab some gluten free treats for a friend at work who has abnormal dietary restrictions. I got her a snickerdoodle cookie and I got one too. I also got a vanilla iced latte. The latte was delicious and had vanilla bean flavor. I liked the snickerdoodle cookie and my friend loved hers. If you have any gluten free people in your life definitely bring them here and you can enjoy the pastries as well. The staff were really nice and it was clean inside.

I just happened to catch them on day two of their soft opening, so dropped by to check things out! I didn't really get too nosy about the ownership and staffing details, but it seems pretty apparent that it's a small family owned business. The main theme here, as the name implies, is gluten free foods - breads and pastries as well as build your own sandwiches and pizzas. They JUST opened, so I'm sure the offerings will evolve over time as they get settled in and see what the demand will be. There's a wide variety of breads - most if not all of them start with a gluten-free sourdough base and then head off in different directions with modifications from the base such as garlic, cranberry-walnut, onion... just to name a few. I have no idea how many varieties they have overall... and I'm sure the list will grow over time. I tried a pizza, and it was decent! I chose ham, jalapeño and pineapple with red sauce. Yes, I'm that guy who sometimes has pineapple on their pizza - haha! Or maybe I did that just to tweak a few of you out there. The size of the pizza is 10"... a bit bigger than what a personal pizza would generally be... probably big enough to feed two halfway normal people. I ate more than half, but I had to push it a bit to get there... and I can put down some pizza! They did a complete remodel on the location - it looks very nice and has a very comfy vibe. Staff was very friendly! I'm really hoping they do well.

Yay a vegan friendly cafe! Everything is Gluten-free and lots of vegan options. They have a BYO sando with tofu, beyond burger and avocado toast. I can't wait to go back and try a coffee with some of their baked goods. Friendly staff and cute/clean cafe!

What a great little place. Definitely more than just a bakery. They have a great selection for lunch as well. The service is on point and the ambiance is everything you need for a little chill time. Diffenetely recommend this little place to come in for a healthy treat.

Hidden Gem for Gluten-Free Goodness! Gluten Off Bakery was such a great find! Like a lot of amazing spots in Sacramento, it doesn't have much curb appeal--but don't let that stop you. Step inside and it feels like a stylish café straight out of San Francisco. It's super clean, modern, and welcoming, with a cozy vibe and friendly service that makes you want to stay a while. They specialize in gluten-free pastries, cookies, and breads--and let me tell you, the bread is the real star here. Fresh, flavorful, and perfectly textured (you'd never guess it's gluten-free!). They also serve light lunches like salads and even gluten-free pizza, which is such a nice touch. Prices are very reasonable for the quality, and we loved it so much we came back just four days later. If you're gluten-free--or even if you're not--this place is worth checking out. Sacramento could use more spots like this!

This is a dedicated gluten-free, bakery and deli. There are also delicious vegan options widely available here, including the pizza sandwiches and salad, as well as the pastries, since everything here is gluten-free. This is definitely of European quality, and the sweets are not so sweet that they hurt your teeth .... For instance , carrot/coconut balls do not have sugar in them, although they are lightly dusted with it.. the owner is Slavic, and he incorporates fresh and seasonal, high quality ingredients. The vegan pizza is delicious, with a creamy mozzarella 'Cheeze' and a delicious thin crust. The dill sourbread boule is sensational, the vegan cheesecake was delicious. The bakery has couches and lounge seating as well as tables... a place to relax and enjoy any of the teas. The salads are huge and crunchy filled with all kinds of good summer vegetables... a full meal.

I stumbled upon Gluten Off Bakery after spotting their sign while heading to an appointment--and I'm so glad I made the time to stop by afterward! From the moment I walked in, I was warmly greeted by Brandon, who made me feel right at home. The place wasn't crowded, which gave me a chance to take in the cozy atmosphere and that amazing, comforting aroma (I think someone had just ordered a pizza--yum!). The bakery is small but absolutely charming, with a trendy, welcoming vibe and a great display of gluten-free treats. Brandon was incredibly friendly and started up a conversation where we bonded over the difficulty of finding delicious gluten-free options that are made in a dedicated GF kitchen. While there weren't many bread choices that day (the bread baker was off), there were still plenty of pastry options to choose from! I ordered the avocado toast with tomato, mozzarella, and hard-boiled egg add-ons--so fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. I also grabbed a lavender latte (not my favorite one I've had, but still enjoyable), and a few treats to-go for the week: a pineapple bar, Rice Krispy treat, mini cheesecake, and a strawberry turnover. I really appreciate that they offer both regular dairy and vegan-friendly options, making it easy for everyone to find something they love. Overall, this place is a must-visit if you're gluten-free or just love delicious, thoughtfully-made food. I'll definitely be coming back to try more of their menu--this is one of those local spots you want to support again and again.

I do have one suggestion. I completely understand and appreciate the elevated vibe they're going for--it's part of what makes the place special. That said, I think there may be a bit of a missed opportunity with the bocce ball courts. There are large signs saying kids can't play on them and must stay with adults, but honestly, I come here at least once a quarter and they're often not being used. Given the location and the number of families in the area, it could be interesting to consider adding a small playground in the back. I know that might sound unconventional for a place like this, but I've seen restaurants do this successfully in Europe. What's really missing around here is a place where parents can enjoy an incredible meal and drinks while their kids have a safe place to play nearby. Right now, the only places that come close are breweries. There are almost always families here when I visit, so just a thought! Either way, Shangri-La remains one of my favorite spots.

I mentioned Fair Oaks Brew Pub as an option I found on Yelp &, as a local, he said it was a great choice. We almost immediately scored street parking only a few doors down. I'd never been to Old Fair Oaks Village before. Looking around, the little town center was more reminiscent of a historic gold country town up in the foothills than Sacramento suburban sprawl. The cutesy charm of the surroundings extended to Fair Oaks Brew Pub itself. Greeted as soon as we walked up, we chose to sit out in their inviting patio area on a perfect Spring day. Our server was along shortly. She was friendly, helpful, & the right amount of attentive. For brew pub fare, we both chose the Risky Burger. Essentially a Western bacon BBQ variation of their regular cheeseburger. Sides were upgraded to onion rings. For the brew, I got their Chicken Foot Pale Ale. Everything was up before long. The Risky Burger was outstanding. Crispy bacon, tasty onion rings (in the burger, as well as on the side), gooey melted cheese, & a perfectly cooked patty just juicy enough to turn the last bite or 2 of the whole burger into a bit of a mess. The Chicken Foot Pale Ale was decent for style, though a little old school in terms of recipe/ malts/ hops. Still, a refreshing pairing for the Risky Burger. All in all, Fair Oaks Brew Pub was a great spot to grab a bite & a beer in an unexpectedly scenic pocket of suburbia.
