Filling included fresh strawberries too. Bakery Visit: Visiting the bakery was a delight. It was very clean, and to my surprise, every bakery item had a vegan option. Him and his wife own the shop which they opened about a year ago. She's the baker. Their speciality is custom order cakes. Gorgeous, sophistically designed cakes. But they are not a one trick pony. No sirree. They also sold cupcakes, trifles, cream puffs, and tarts. They were all sitting pretty looking divinely delicious in a refrigerated counter. I bought two cupcakes. One was a honey roasted peanut butter on chocolate cupcake and the other I forgot the name of. But it was a chocolate cupcake of some sort with a vanilla type of cream frosting. Those were $4.50 a piece. Carlos told me the cupcakes are cold but best eaten about 40 minutes to a hour at room temp. Sorry to say I had no will power to wait that long. They both got devoured shortly after I got back to my car. Even without the wait, it was delicious. Moist, flavorful cake. The frosting was delicious and piped on perfectly.
