I beelined it over there to check them out. Why? Because I do luv a good bakery. As I walked into the shop, there was a gentleman at the counter. He turned out to be the owner, Carlos. Him and his wife own the shop which they opened about a year ago. She's the baker. Their speciality is custom order cakes. Gorgeous, sophistically designed cakes. But they are not a one trick pony. No sirree. They also sold cupcakes, trifles, cream puffs, and tarts. They were all sitting pretty looking divinely delicious in a refrigerated counter. I bought two cupcakes. One was a honey roasted peanut butter on chocolate cupcake and the other I forgot the name of. But it was a chocolate cupcake of some sort with a vanilla type of cream frosting. Those were $4.50 a piece. Carlos told me the cupcakes are cold but best eaten about 40 minutes to a hour at room temp. Sorry to say I had no will power to wait that long. They both got devoured shortly after I got back to my car. Even without the wait, it was delicious. Moist, flavorful cake. The frosting was delicious and piped on perfectly. Sure the frosting was a bit stiff when I ate it because I had no patience to let it settle to room temp, but it didn't take away from the taste. Homemade perfection.

The wedding cake was a 2-tier cake, with one layer being red velvet with cream cheese frosting and the other being white cake with cinnamon frosting and vanilla buttercream frosting on the outside. It was a hit; there was some leftover cake after the wedding, and people immediately found a box to take it home. None of her frosting tastes artificial. You can tell she uses quality ingredients.
