The versatility and creativity of each individual order is my favorite, offering many toppings including fresh fruit, caramel drizzle, Nutella dollop or drizzle, even cookie butter! The place is very cute and located near the goodwill next to sunshine laundry. The owner was very kind to us even handing us the excess of the mango smoothie in a separate cup. Friendly mom & pops shop that does a lot of catering (so hours may depend on that at times--you can call ahead but I didn't) We walked up but you can get your items through drive thru. It is so good, I got the most wanted w/ both blueberries and strawberries. No sauce because I felt like it would be too sweet for me, this was the perfect sweetness with the powdered sugar, whip, fresh fruits and warm Belgian waffle on a beautiful spring day. I truly do think it's the best waffle in town. I hope to make this a staple for my spring and summer this year ! My dad got pretty much the same thing as me with the ice cream and my husband the same but with Nutella--all of that was really good too. They are usually at the Midtown's Farmer's Market, but recently, I had a chance to try them at my office's holiday celebration. I ordered a waffle with strawberries, blueberries, Nutella, and whipped cream. It was sugary and delicious! The owner was super kind, friendly, and provided great customer service, even when the lines were long. He made sure to pack my to-go waffle with care. The waffles come from Belgium and are heated to perfection right at the mobile waffle truck. The truck itself is very cute and catchy. The gentleman running the place was not only kind, gave a great recommendation (the Carmel- I'm assuming frappe?) of blended coffee with caramel.. after asking about 3 simple questions to help home in on what exactly I wanted as it was my first time! Once I had said 'cup O' Joe'? I quickly guzzled my straw like a parched guinea pig on a summer day; holy coffee beans Batman! It was an AMAZING full body flavor... gentleman even had EXTRA to give! I was passing by as I noticed this place and had to pull over to Google it. Upon learning of the kinds of waffles they make, I had to go and try for myself. The place is a charming drive thru stand situated in a parking lot surrounded by other stores. It would be easy to pass by and never try. However, upon letting my curiosity get the best of me, I tried it, and it was amazing! I got the waffle with whip cream, Nutella, and strawberries and I seriously felt like I had gone to dessert heaven. To add to the greatness of the food, I had a conversation with the owner, and he was such a friendly and nice person. Very helpful and courteous. The customer service was phenomenal. Very hospitable and kind. The prices are very fair and the coffee is cheaper and better than the big names you usually go to. My friend and I had pulled up at the same time as a few other customers and the man working inside made sure to find a second to check on us, make conversation, and let us now how our order was going. He even taught us that the Dutch call toppings dingus! The waffle was the perfect snack size and the dingus was obviously fresh. We watched as the person working picked up trash around the lot, fed the pigeons, offered customers the leftover product from making a frappe, and he even came to our car and offered us water while we finished our waffles. He was incredibly kind throughout his service, and went to lengths beyond what he had to do, and the waffle was fantastic (certain items, namely sauces, he has imported from other countries, unlike bigger companies that want to give you cheaper items while pocketing all your money), and the coffee was the best I've ever had (and I have tried all the big coffee brand names). Note: If you have had a Frappuccino that's overly sweet, I recommend coming here for one that actually has that perfect blend of coffee with sweetness. You will not be disappointed. An absolutely amazing waffle!!! It was our first time here and we got the waffle with strawberries, nutella and whip cream. Definitely a must eat as soon as he hands it to you because it's literally hot off the iron, smells amazing, has the perfect texture and the freshness of the strawberries elevates it to another level!! The owner really cares about the quality of his product. I asked for blueberries with it initially and he said he went to three grocery stores before opening and wasn't happy with the quality of the blueberries the stores had, so he didn't buy them. He said he looks for crisp and firm blueberries because no one likes soggy/mushie fruit on their waffle and I agree. Quality of ingredients changes a dish entirely and when it's the freshest you can get, it'll be the best thing you'll ever eat! It's always a pleasure coming here and seeing the owner. He is super friendly and always strikes up a great conversation. I called beforehand to see if they were open because it's been a while since I've been back and I know during Covid their hours changed. Fortunately they were open and I got the waffle with strawberries and blueberries, along with Nutella and whip, and it tasted just as good as before. I recently went through to order an iced vanilla latte, but he had a busy day and was out of vanilla. He had hazelnut syrup, so I took that offer instead. Today was my first time trying VolksWaffle and I must say it was absolutely delicious! I loved that the first thing that the gentleman asked me, was if it was my first time here. It indeed was. He proceeded to then tell me the history of the liege waffle, and his family history, in regard to how they arrived here. Unexpected, but also a pleasant surprise! He also went on to tell me about the waffles, and how they are prepared. He engaged me the whole time while he prepared my waffle.
