The fried chicken was delicious, crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside. We accidentally got both the sweet and spicy sauces (it usually only comes with one), but honestly, I think two are needed to balance out the amount of meat. I loved the sweet one, and my husband preferred the spicy, so it worked out perfectly. I wasn't a fan of the coleslaw, it was a bit too peppery for my taste. The mac salad was a little on the sweeter side for me, but still enjoyable. Overall, the chicken and sauces were the stars of the meal. Would definitely come back for that combo. Service was friendly.

Been hearing about this food truck and they finally showed up for my neighborhood's food truck Tuesdays! I ordered the #1 for my husband which was the Fried Chicken Chunks w/ Mac Salad and Rice, and I got the #3 for me which was the Fried Chicken Rice Bowl w/ Mac Salad and Cole Slaw. Coming from a food truck, the food came out fairly quick and the menu had a decent amount of choices. The portion sizes were pretty decent especially with how much chicken chunks they put for my husband's order so definitely order the #1 if you got space in your stomach! My husband and I thought the fried chicken was decent and seemed like the chicken chunks we got from Costco but more seasoned and flavored... We were more impressed with the Mac Salad and Cole Slaw! The Cole Slaw was perfectly sweetened and the Mac Salad had a little spice kick compared to other Hawaiian places that serve Mac Salad. Overall, a very decent food truck for Hawaiian food that is tasty enough to fulfill a Hawaiian food craving but a little high on price point.

I had high hopes for this food truck. Sadly, the brown rice had little flavor; the Mac was spicy but okay; the chicken had good flavor but it was dark meat and fried, of course. It was great but I couldn't eat it every day or even every week, and the coleslaw was pretty good. Not sure if I can substitute since this meal was brought to me. I might order again to try another dish, if I was in the area.

Decent food truck. The fried chicken are chunks but they are well seasoned. I prefer a little more of a crisp to my fried chicken but it was good. There is only a little bit of fried rice on the plate but that was well seasoned too.

I stopped by this food truck at the Sac State football game and ordered Jojo's Loaded Fries with Hawaiian fried chicken, mac salad, coleslaw, and spicy sauce. Compared to all the surrounding food trucks, this one was by far the fastest. My name was called almost immediately after ordering, and the food was ready right away. When I received my plate, everything was hot and fresh. The chicken was flavorful, the fries were perfectly crispy, and the mac salad and coleslaw were cold and refreshing. The portion size was huge. Easily enough for 2-3 people to share and definitely worth the price. The ambiance was fun and lively with all the energy from the football game, music, and the crowd, which made the food taste even better in the moment. Overall, the service was quick, the food was delicious, and I would absolutely order from them again.

Hawaiian Fried Chicken with the spicy sauce is phenomenal. It's like how have I gone through life without tasting it. My coworker always raved about it whenever we would see it in the designated capitol food truck spot whenever it would come and now it's like I need to make it a mission to get a plate whenever it is there. My kids loved their kids chicken too!

The Best Fried Chicken I have ever tasted. Please come back to Oki Park Food Truck Fridays

Hawaiian chicken, macaroni salad, cole slaw,

Saw them at the Gibbon Park festival. my kids were coming over for a quick visit, thought this would be perfect since they luv chicken! I placed the order early and came back to pick up 5 orders. 2 chicken burgers and 3 plates of chicken. the service was great and friendly however, we rated the food a "C" chicken bites were hard and the slaw was not our cup of tea ! the burger and macaroni salad (added salt ) we're better. we are very familiar with Hawaiian chicken. There is room for improvement, however we appreciate they were available and close by! Thank you!

Fried chicken is one of those comfort foods that many of us (including myself) get excited about. And after keeping this place on my radar, I finally had the chance of trying their food out. This was during the evening of Saturday 7/2/2022 where I tracked them down (on their website, https://jojoshawaiianfriedchicken.square.site at the site near La Sierra Community Center in Carmichael for a 4th of July get-together. This particular family-owned and operated business runs exclusively through their truck so they are always going to different sites almost on a regular basis throughout the greater Sacramento area. This includes the city of Sacramento but also outlying areas such as Roseville, Elk Grove, Folsom, Natomas, Carmichael, and even places such as Lincoln and Clarksburg. Their truck itself lists their business name which includes their phone number and ways that you can find them on social media (Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter). Finally, the menu is easy to read with full color pictures of select food items. Their food truck business has been in operation dating back to 2018. Since I had waited several years to try their chicken out, I was quite excited to compare this place to other mobile fried chicken restaurants. Since I was on the hungrier side, I went with their "Fried Chicken Rice Bowl" (priced at $15 during my visit in July 2022). This included their crispy tender Hawaiian fried chicken (drizzled with sweet sauce over it) and on top of a bed of their famous island-inspired rice. This entrée was served with homemade macaroni salad and coleslaw. The wait was literally less than a minute as the ladies working in the truck got my meal ready in the blink of an eye. After walking to the park area of the community center, I opened up the recyclable package and was ready to indulge! The chicken itself was absolutely was on point and had a unique taste that distinguished it from other fried chicken places I've eaten at. The crunch, batter, texture, and flavor with the sweet sauce put this chicken in a class all itself. However, the rice was just average for me as it didn't have that moist taste to it. I did however enjoy the coleslaw as well as the macaroni salad as both of these were above average. I will say that the service here was top notch. The two ladies that I interacted were in such a great mood and had a lot of positive vibes going on. After breaking down everything associated with "Jojo's Hawaiian Fried Chicken", I am settling on giving them a four-star rating. Food is above average, customer service is excellent, and prices are just average since they do run a little higher than similar trucks I've been to. All in all, they give you a lot of food and they just might be at a stop near you soon!

Food in the Hood - WestPark Wednesday [Roseville] We had a chance to try Jojo's Hawaiian fried chicken when they came to Roseville. Hmm, they claimed to be the best Hawaiian fried chicken in Sacramento... well, they came a close second to my favorite fried chicken spot which I won't mention. We chose two of the Fried Chicken Rice Bowls, one each of the sweet and the spicy sauce ($14/ea). There were 4 optional sides: Hawaiian macaroni salad, coleslaw, rice or fries. For both plates we got the coleslaw and mac salad. The chicken was savory and tender laid on top of a bed of island style fried rice. The portions were generous. Unfortunately, the Hawaiian mac salad was bland. No taste. The coleslaw was the same. We enjoyed the chicken. No tax included. We paid $28. On their website they have a preorder option. The pickup location was at the park where they were today. Instagram: @jojoshawaiianfriedchicken Review #2555

Deep Fried Chicken Chunks set with Mac salad and Cole slaw
Mike R.

Encountered this food truck at Sac Pride over the weekend. The staff was very friendly and the service was fast. The chicken was tender and freshly cooked with what seemed like mochi flour. It was also served with spicy dipping sauce but tasted delicious even without it. The Mac salad was fine, but not too exciting. The Cole slaw was probably my least favorite of the items; it didn't really have any flavor and felt more like a side salad. Overall, the main dish was great, and I would definitely have it again if a la carte is an option.

With food truck being tooo expensive and providing an less than average experience, Jojo's is the exception. For $20, I can get a solid and delicious meal with a drink. The service was friendly and polite. They qualify as a valuable food truck. Keep it up guys.

Fried chicken rice bowl

This is a traveling food truck that I first encountered in Davis! Not only did the man in the truck have true Hawaiian spirit (super friendly and approachable) but you can tell he put a lot of thought into these dishes! 10/10 I got the fried chicken chunks rice bowl and oh my gosh was it delicious! Typical Hawaiian BBQ is pretty greasy and heavy. This plate was full of flavor without feeling sick after! The chicken was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside! But you wanna know the best part? The sauces!!! You can get spicy, sweet, or both! I got both and it was SO GOOD I even ate up the brown rice mixed with the sauces! Pineapple cole slaw. Chef's kiss! It gave the perfect acidity to cut the richness of the chicken! Mac salad. YUM. It's not drenched in mayo which is a guilty pleasure of mine. However, I loved the black pepper and how it complements the rest of the meal. You just gotta try it. The plate is $14 and you get a good amount of food! They don't skimp. Definitely coming back to find them at the farmer's market!

The Mac Salad wasn't overly sweet or wet and their Fried Rice was made of brown rice with a ton of great spices!
