My "go to" taco wagon. There is something extra special about their spicy asada tacos. Maybe the steak or sauce, but it doesn't matter because it's damn good. Hubby and I just came by for some lunch. He was craving tacos. Came over to Tacos El Roy #2 (cute). Lady taking our order was super sweet. I ordered 3 asada tacos mild, hubby ordered 6 asada tacos, with 3 mild 3 hot with a side of grilled onions and jalapeños. Gave us a beeper and only waited less than 10mins. Flavors were perfect. Meat was seasoned well. Mild and hot sauces were perfect. Not too spicy. Everything was fresh. Definitely will be back. read more

When I say I never make reviews because I can let some things fly when it comes to cooking. But when I say this place was absolutely terrible, the owner or whatever she is helped me with the order she simply replied that people normally like her food and that she couldn't do much. My wife is pregnant and had waited all day for me to get out of work to enjoy a meal together, when I say we both were ready to tear these burritos up, when I started to eat it literally started to drop with grease at every bite, to appease my hungry pregnant wife I chose to eat through it until she couldn't. We took it back to show them how literally bad it was, and the owner was trying to say burritos come like that, No THEY DONT, I have a stomach ache now and it's literally the most terrible burrito experience I've ever had, I will never go here again and they can keep my money that didn't give me the rest of due to them being eaten, making you feel as if the food was magically greasy. It's a small little place next to a liquor store and bets believe it'll remain there. WORST BURRITOS EVER, I've literally never had to write one of these! read more

Stopped by their truck on Folsom BLVD tonight, was looking for some longanizas guatemaltecas and chorizos to make some shucos tomorrow and while the Guatemalan market was closed decided to grab some tacos and was glad we did, because they were 5 stars. Ever since we moved here from the Bay Area, we've had trouble finding good Mexican food, but we found some here tonight and went back to buy some more and bring it home for the kids and they liked it too. I'd reccomend the al pastor, it was on point. The carne asada was good too. The lingua needs some seasoning or marinade, but was still decent. Edit: Definitly will return if they are still there next week. The quesadillas looked real good and according to their FB, they have quesabirria. Workers wore gloves while handling the food, didn't check for a health inspection sticker, if you care about that type of thing, but my stomach didn't have any problems besides wanting to eat more tacos. read more

I'm all about trying good food trucks, especially Mexican food, so I was excited about seeing the good reviews on this place. I liked that it's in the same parking lot as a convenience store so there's a good amount of parking and you could pick up drinks or snacks if you wanted haha. The staff was nice and they had good options on the menu, but the wait time was very long, which I was not expecting. I ordered a quesadilla and the flavors were really good, but there wasn't enough cheese so it was basically falling apart. I am open to trying their other items however! read more

I'm completely unsatisfied with this place. I ordered a carne asada burrito, cabeza and lengua tacos. The asada was overly salted and the meat ratio for all three items were off. They are also very pricey in comparison to other taco trucks that I have been to. I might give this place another shot but I know it won't be anytime soon. read more

Technically, it's not a "Taco Truck", it's a "Taco Trailer." :) That being said, The food is good, it gets to you quick, it's cheap, and it's *AUTHENTIC!* Any place where English is the second language in the kitchen, chances are, you're going to get a good meal. Everything is good. Last time I had a burrito, I had the carnitas burrito. Very reasonably priced, and it was *HUGE!* I'm a big eater, and it made two meals for me. The tortas are made with fluffy bread and lots of fillings, and of course, the tacos!! Lots of filling, you can get your salsa from mild to hot, and a large choice of meats from the basics like carne asada and chicken, to the more "esoteric" like tripe and tongue. Really good grilled al pastor burrito. Loved the torta. The bread is deliciously grilled with a light crispness. Fillings were good and well balanced. Carnitas tasted just a little bit salty. Very disappointed. There was not enough meat in my food. For the price definitely not worth it

I love tacos! I've been coming to this taco truck for almost a year. Service is not good nor not bad, although they forgotten some of my orders sometimes. No big deal, It's a taco truck so you just order your food and go after they call your food out. I have to agree with another customer that they definitely don't clean their veggies well. Into my food I had chunk of mud in my mouth from a cilantro that wasn't washed well. So sad! I wonder how health department checks food trucks. read more

Food poisoning ruined Christmas for us this year. We have been eating and enjoying the food from this truck for years. Unfortunately, in addition to slightly messing up our orders (happens every once in a while, not a huge deal), we both had horrendous gastrointestinal illness within 8-24 hours of eating here a few days ago. I was so sick that I had a fever, chills extreme vomiting and diarrhea, dizziness, dehydration and missed all of Christmas eve and Christmas day this year. So, I want to support a local small business and have for many years, but I can no longer trust what I order from this truck to be safe to eat. Take your chances. Happy New Year - I lost over 5 pounds of water and everything else in my gastrointestinal tract. read more

Let me preface with, I was extremely hesitant to drive out to rancho just to try this place because I live pretty close to EG and it was a 30 min drive. I was hungry and I made my bf drive there.. What if it was gross though? I knew if it was, he'd probably make me walk home.. Well, let me say that I was NOT disappointed. I tried two different types of tacos (birria and asada) an asada quesadilla, and a birria burrito. No, I didn't eat all of that by myself, I shared with 3 other people. I didn't want to share though. The salsas were flavorful and the consommé was the best to dip those birria tacos in. I've tried quite a few Birria taco trucks around the Sac area and almost every one had birria loaded with cinnamon, but not this one. Theirs was perfect for my taste. Their service is fast and friendly. While I was waiting, 4 other people walked up. Needless to say, they seem popular. If you're in the area of zinfandel, stop by this place. It's worth the drive. Recommend from a friend. The burrito was actually a nice size and it's all you need. Sauce was added to the burrito. I got spicy. I didn't feel the kick to the end unless it wasn't a lot in there.
