A lovely froyo shop with 8 different flavors and a wide range of toppings. Some of which are VERY fresh, since they're kept in a cooler with a lid. Although their pineapple is canned, they have fresh strawberries and kiwis! Prices can be a little higher than other places (I paid $12 for my cup), but the attendant was super friendly and attentive. After we put toppings on and paid, he went back to clean the area, which is such a good sign. They have nice indoor and outdoor dining areas and as mentioned before, the facilities appear clean and well-maintained. read more

WAY OVER PRICED! FLAVORLESS! They were out of important things, light hot fudge. $30 bucks for 2 cups and I didn't go heavy on the toppings. The scale was not calibrated correct. I tested it. The sticker on the side is out of date. I started looking at the business license food handlers card, etc. Everything was a photocopy on the wall. Excited to see it was under new management, but nothing really changed. Almost nothing in the interior has changed. It's the same flavors (chocolate, vanilla, coffee, peanut butter, strawberry, cotton candy (with a peach picture by it, so maybe peach flavored?), and tart) and all the same toppings (still great that's theres a lot of options). However, the decor and atmosphere was the same, if not worse. We came in at 4pm in the summer and it was so dark by the dispensers. It'd be something if there was more natural light, but it was kind of dreary. There was no music, only the sound of the fridges and yogurt machines. I got the cappuccino and belgium chocolate and both tasted fine, but it was super soft serve which caused it to already be half melted by the time we finished paying. This place feels like it's been here forever. I have fond memories coming here and it's definitely a highlight of the community. I wish they can bring a bit more to the table because they're beaten out by Menchie's or pinkberry easily. read more

RUN. PS. Look at the picture, check out the consistency. I say run, right away. Not for your life but for another froyo at any given frozen yogurt joint. I'm not here to ever make a business feel bad, but if it need a smack on the back like this one for educating a customer that ate froyo since it first was introduce to earth, that's just not right. You can look at the picture and see that the consistency was not there. And, when we arrived at the door, the place was half lit. The chocolate ice cream we threw away had the consistency of poop. We were hoping it was just that particular flavor that's out of what but no, no, no, the berry froyo and another flavor (I don't even remember it, I'm too traumatized). They were just as bad. I had a bite but decided not to continue in case I get the runs. I went up to the cashier and let her know that the froyo doesn't look right, most probably it wasn't cold enough. I showed her my froyo and she said the consistency is normal. She insisted it was cold and frozen yogurt suppose to look like that. She could have offered kind words and say, let me check" or "the machine may be down, I sorry, don't worry, let me have them and you don't have to pay for that..." instead she said it again, it's cold. That's how froyo look like. Nano, Nano, nano, if I'm alien and have never ever tasted or seen a frozen yogurt before, then I'll buy her explanation. She charged us $5.29 for a 3 mere dollops of poops. We paid, threw away the froyo (don't want to get sick just for the 5.29) and went a few blocks down to Menchies right on Olson. Yum. I'm so glad to not listen to the bad reviews and come in to try! I got the strawberry and pomegranate flavors it's so delicious!!! Perfect for a hot summer day. The strawberry yogurt is definitely the best strawberry flavor yogurt I've had at any yogurt place. Usually other places have tart yogurt flavor but the strawberry here is creamy & sweet. They have a large variety of toppings But my go to are fresh fruit toppings. The owner was very nice. It was so good I came two days in a row. Happy to support small business. Also so happy that they are right down the street from me. Edit: I spoke to the owner and they just bought the business two months ago. It's under new management and they are getting approved for a remodel. They said there will also be a grand opening in the future once they have remodeled! Well then...that was an interesting experience. The owner seemed very friendly initially, saying it was fine to reuse my sample cup and try whichever flavors I wanted. Unfortunately, some of them literally came out of the machine in liquid form and got all over my hand. Rather than offer to help me by grabbing a napkin, he said just lick it off... Then he proceeded to tell me about how another customer was a regular and would spend $12 here daily without needing to sample anything because it was obviously "that good". After trying the vanilla and chocolate and attempting to try the liquified toasted marshmallow, salted caramel corn and peanut butter...I quickly learned that they're average at best. Decent flavor, icier texture. Very convenient because it's so close, but I'd highly recommend going to Menchie's across 50 instead for far superior quality and selection. read more

Unfortunately, I can concur with the reviews here. The Yogurts flavor wasn't palatable and the consistency of the yogurt wasn't proper (almost liquid), not sure if the machines were working properly or set at the right temperatures. Another missing component is the lack of healthy toppings, saw mainly canned fruits and there wasn't much options. All this served in a styrofoam cup. The employee working was on their phone mainly instead of being attentive to customers in case they had questions but I mean everything is common sense, self-service, load up with toppings and pay when you weigh at the end. Two medium cups barely filled with toppings was almost 17$. Little expensive for something that's not worth it. Overall experience, wasn't the best and surely there's a better froyo joint out there. Hope they can fix a few pointers that their customers mention & step it up. read more

The best yogurt I've ever had! Non-dairy option was a pomegranate raspberry, (I think). It was so fresh, it was like you could feel it pop. Lots of low sugar options, and the sugar free cheesecake was *amazing.* I walked in just expecting a snack and got a fresh, artisan crafted product. This yogurt shop is awful. The consistency of their yogurt is weird and so is their flavor selection. When their frozen yogurt melts, it's icy, and it melts really fast, which leads me to believe that the quality isn't the best. The prices are way too high. I got two small frozen yogurts that I didn't fill up all the way, along with a few toppings on each for my sons, and I was shocked when they got rung up as almost $12! We go to Crazy For Yogurt often and the total is never that high. The reason why we didn't go to Crazy For Yogurt the last time we came here is because it was rush hour and we would have gotten stuck in traffic trying to go on the other side of the freeway. Plus, this place ONLY has yogurt, whereas Crazy For Yogurt has a vast ice cream selection, crepes, waffles, shakes, etc. The toppings are also not the best. They have your standard chocolate chips, yogurt chips and pretzels, a bunch of cereals (who puts cereal on yogurt?!), your usual gummy worms, gummy bears, cookie dough bites, but they're lacking in the fresh fruit department. They also have no mochi, which should be criminal for a yogurt shop not to have! Also, I recommended to them a while ago to get cheesecake bites and still, none. The variety at Crazy For Yogurt is plentiful, so maybe I'm just being picky. My son LOVES frozen yogurt but he took two bites the other day and didn't finish his, which was a first. My other son complained that his yogurt looked funny when it started to melt and sure enough, he was right: it had a weird icy consistency to it. I wouldn't come back here. Next time, I think I'll brave the traffic and get some quality frozen yogurt at Crazy for Yogurt. Better price, better quality, way more toppings, cleaner, more roomy, and friendlier service. read more

AWFUL. This place has gone downhill. No more sampling. We had a party of 6 and 2 of us had to throw out our cup after 1 taste as it had a moldy taste to it. I really like Yogurtvilla now. The prior owner was really nice, but the yogurt texture was bad. I was speaking to the new owner and told him that the texture of the yogurt is 100% better since he took over. I cant say much for the different toppings because all I get is the gelled strawberries and granola, but they do have lots of choices. The only concern I have is knowing if the vanilla bean is actually yogurt. I can taste the cream and it does have more of a ice cream taste, but ice cream or yogurt it was great. read more

Yogurtvilla doesn't quite bring the party to Rancho, but it's a decent spot for a yogurt run in an area that is pretty lacking in froyo-liciousness. Upon entering, the lighting was a little dim, which juxtaposed the same dim greeting we received by the lone employee at the counter. I hoped to be asked if I wanted sample cups but we instead had to inquire ourselves and only received three between the two of us. I ended up getting a mixture of strawberry lemonade and toasted marshmallow (couldn't decide between tart and creamy flavors). I particularly liked the strawberry lemonade when sampling it, however didn't enjoy it as much in my cup. A little too icy. Also of note, when I sampled the peach tart, the yogurt was pretty runny (hence why I avoided it). Topping-wise, there was a fairly wide selection, consisting of different sauces (including hardtop), fruits, mochi and brownie bites, poppers, candy, etc. The fruit, at least the strawberries, didn't seem particularly fresh, but was decent. Overall, we walked away with some froyo to cool us off in the heat, but with a general sense of 'meh' upon exiting. There were some cool flavors in name but everything was far from impressive. Hope they catch their yogurt thief though (per sign on door)! read more

We usually go to Menchie's if we are in the area. However, I had just left my eyebrow place and didn't care to drive so we tried out Yogurtvilla. They had banana yogurt which was good - I've never had anywhere else. Some of the toppings were old and tasted rancid. I understand some toppings may not sell as often, but it's a better idea to replace it once in a while. Next time, I'll just make the 2-3 minute drive to Menchie's or any other yogurt place nearby. Also, restroom was dirty. The toilet brush sitting next to the toilet should be used a little more often. read more

I feel for the guy working here, who I assume also owns the shop. He's very careful -- about if you're asking for a sample cup (he will give you a careful and skeptical or suspicious look before very precisely handing you *just* one cup for all of your samples), about the handles being "up" right after you press them (there are signs above the machines as well, which we missed reading the first time we came). The price is too high. The flavor selection is .... not that interesting. My husband and I had come here twice after eating at nearby Beijing Cafe. However, today, after eating at Beijing Cafe, we looked up any other nearby yogurt shops and happily tried Menchie's, which is 5 minutes away off of Zinfandel in Target parking lot. Menchie's had a bright and friendly environment, sampling cups were on a platter for you to take and use as many as you want, and flavors included Smores, Cake Batter, Dulce de Leche, Cookies and Cream, strawberry, vanilla, and a few more! The topping choices were practically endless feeling. Best of all, the price for this better selection and this kid friendly environment (they had a jumbo connect4 game out on the floor), is amazing! I want Yogurtville to have a chance at succeeding because for whatever reason I really do like the guy who is always there stingy as he may be, -- but they need to look at their competition or they will go out of business as they lose customers to this more upbeat and friendly, generous atmosphere, which is also a better price and has better and more interesting selection. Not high quality yogurt or toppings and certainly not a good deal for what you pay. Watery, not creamy at all.

The store owner is a complete weirdo! He tried to get me to buy more yogurt than I wanted and then complained when I only bought $3 worth. He said specifically "Only $3"... and threw his hands up in the air. He didn't seem to understand up-selling and badgering. I told him I didn't agree with the 75 cent transaction fee he was charging purchases less than $5 when using a debit/credit card. Stores that do this are only doing a disservice to their customers... VISA and Mastercard only will charge 2-3%. TOTAL SHAM! So I had a friend that I was with at the time let who let me borrow $5 to avoid the fee, although when I got my change back, the guy gave me ONLY $1.05 BACK.... I WAS PISSED. Yeah, it was only a few bucks here, but you don't whine and state that I'm buying only $3 and then charge someone $4 for yogurt. GET THIS... So I ask the guy to weigh it again and explain his pricing and he wouldn't let me! He had his finger on the scale and the numbers on the front of the scale started flashing (so assume he could reset the prcing). I told this guy that he is working a bogus shop and he replied that "THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE COME IN EVERY DAY!" The nerve this guy had. WOW!!! BY THE WAY, never put your spoon in the yogurt while it's on the scale...It's an extra 8 cents! Yogurt shops are a dime a dozen... I will never go back to this bamboozler! What a creep! read more
