I don't know what's been going on here lately, but three times in a row my order has been wrong and today I ended up over paying because it. Someone else picked it up so I didn't have a chance to correct in person, and of course -both- my food and drink order didn't have additions I paid for. Lame. The last two hot drinks I ordered were lukewarm at best. A latte first and it was hardly warm and made me not want to return to this location. I did return a couple of weeks later for a mocha that was also not as hot as it should have been. The Folsom East Bidwell location makes their hot drinks at the correct heat level. read more

I'm not one to leave a bad review on anything, no matter how poor my experience was. The service here was good. However, as I was drinking my Matcha, I stumbled across a triangular shaped piece of plastic that had sharp edges in my drink, which I almost swallowed when drinking from my straw. This is a safety and health violation! It's not okay and there is no reason for something like that to end up inside my cup. I have never experienced something like this in any of the Peet's locations and this was my first time coming to this location. I am so frustrated as this could've caused so many health issues had I swallowed it. I won't be coming here and I advise everyone to be cautious as things like this can, unfortunately, end up in your drink. read more

Stopped in here to pick up ground coffee for our Cuisanart drip coffee maker and a coarser grind for the French press. The young lady assisting us was very helpful in helping us select our coffee. We got Yosemite Dos Sierras for both. It is a tasty blend. We also got iced lattes to go. We are coffee lovers and really enjoy the quality of Peets product. The only take away was a limited selection compared to pre-covid times. Napkins were not readily available in the customer area. Overall pleased with our visit. read more

I've been enjoying my great experience at this location for almost 10 yrs. But on March 6, Wednesday at 10:20, I had a different experience. I asked the female  Barista with dark hair to please remake the drink because it tasted like vanilla ice cream and I could not taste coffee. She says, "you've been asking for a lot of remakes lately and it is costing us a lot of money. I know my drinks. I know my shots. If I remade your  drink, it would come out the same. You asked for extra vanilla syrup. Maybe thats why. Its hard to get it the way you want.  If you're on medication, that could also affect your taste buds". I said, "I'm not on medication.  Yes, I've been coming daily for the past few weeks. And when they   remade it, it does taste better. Can you please remake it? I'd appreciate it". She remade the drink and it tasted the exact same. I've been in customer service for over 30 yrs. Here's a solution: 1) Adaptable- When other Baristas remade the drink, they took my concerns into consideration and they adapted the drink. That's great customer service. 2) Solution- How about we give you the extra shot of vanilla on the side so you can add as much as  you want. Or  talk to the other baristas and see what they did when they re-made the drink. And talk to the Baristas who successfully made the initial drink. Problem solving is key. 3) Attitude- When dealing with customers, you always want to have a welcoming approach. Thinking before you speak and asking yourself, how would I feel if someone spoke to me like this, helps one to use  tact, with an  overall positive tone. This retains the customer and brings in more customers. And sets a good example for the rest of staff. read more

This is the best Peet's location ever! I went in to buy beans and the barista suggested I order it on the app because you get a free latte. I decided to try it the next day however the free latte didn't show up. He made me one anyhow, super nice! I also greatly appreciate that they offer non dairy whip cream--at least they did a few months ago. The staff here are all super friendly as well. read more

They need to train their barista's how to make regular Americano coffee, It's very simple add shots and water, if iced, add ice that's it! Although can't even make that right! We usually go to a different location which is a lot better but for the past few months been in this area every day ordering the same drink and explaining simple two-step process and still can't get it right, I'm shocked! Exceptionally poor customer service to refuse a paying customer the use of a bathroom when the public bathroom is occupied. The employee coming out of the restroom (that used to be public), refused to allow me to use it. Even though 1) it used to be public, 2) paying customer 3) the sign says "all gender" - NOTHING about it being restricted. read more

Peet's definitely knows how to deliver quality coffee, for over five years I am their frequent customer & always perfect service, and great coffee. Hooray! First to review. Anyhow, I am sitting in Peet's as I type this up. They have free wi-fi and hey, I appreciate that! It is for two hours, just ask at the counter and they give you a passcode. I am so glad that Peet's has stretched it's long coffee arm to Sacramento and now Fair Oaks. I recall the days of yore when I would drive my sorry Nissan to Berkeley and stock up on their house blend. Love the chamber music playing in the background, love the occasional tea/coffee sampling they got going at the front, love how it is subdued and the service is always top notch. No attitude, you know what I mean? This particular Peet's is located in a newish shopping plaza with a Safeway, Panda Express and even a Big Spoon (which is next door). They do have a Starbucks in the Safeway, but I have always loved Peet's coffee. Something about the way it's roasted, and though I'm not much of a mocha drinker, their mochas are the best - they have a hint of anise to them. Peet's has also supported a non-profit that I used to work for, they really do give back to the community! read more

I've only been here a couple of times but everything has always been consistent. The service is great. Baristas greet you with a smile and they are quick to make your order. There's always been a bit of a line to place my order but it moves pretty quickly and they make sure to let you know they are aware of your presence. I usually make my coffee at home but once in a while I either meet people at a coffee place or simply want to treat myself to a cappuccino. This place is nice to go for a treat or schedule a meeting. Pros: 1. Good location and plenty of parking near the building. 2. I am only tea drinker, so, can only attest to the teas. Very good. Snacks good too. 3. Floor to ceiling windows on two walls. Nice bright natural lighting. 4. Outdoor tables and chairs. 5. The staff is always friendly and easy to deal with. 6. Female bathroom always clean and stocked. Cons: 1. No free refills on the tea. 2. No lemons for the tea. But all Peet's have that policy. So, bring your lemons in a baggy. 3. Too crammed. Place is too small, tables crammed too close together, and often there is no place to sit. 4. What more is there to say..... Great coffee, good location, and nice service. I normally just come for my cup of coffee. I don't usually get pastries and treats, but the selection is pretty good. Muffins here, cookies there, treats everywhere. They have a pretty wide range of coffee gadgets that you can buy. There's plenty of seating inside as well as outside for those nice sunny days. If you don't feel like sitting, take your coffee and walk towards the safeway where they have a Veteran's memorial. read more

I absolutely LOVE Peet's coffee! However, I will never go back to this store! Bree was absolutely RUDE and lacks greatly in customer service! I ordered 2 drinks they were the exact same drinks, with one exception, I always get long pulls on my espresso shots. Help me understand why my cup had less espresso in it than the regular pulls ‍. I asked if these were long pulls as the small cup wasn't even full! I kindly explained I have NEVER had my order come out in a small cup and it's not even full. The man behind the counter asked, how much longer do you want them???? Seriously!!! Unacceptable! I said I would like them pulled correctly in the first place. I said can I have some more ice at least. That's when Bree comes into play! She rudely brings me a cup of ice and my other drink. She proceeds to put my other drink all the way over in the Mobil order pick up and gives me the cup of ice and said "anything else"? Wow you train them well here! I said no just a better attitude! I am an essential worker, I get the stress of having to encounter the times we are living in, but I did not in any way shape or form deserve this treatment as a paying customer!! read more

This place is amazing. They always make the coffee right. I've been to the Peet's inside the nearby Raleys and they make horrible coffee, even if you order the same drinks, but this Peet's is always consistent and friendly as well. We decided to meet my aunt, uncle and cousin from SF here while they were in town today. We were so impressed with the service above the call as night manager (can't recall his name) brought each of us a hot chocolate complimentary while sitting outside. Peet's is a wonderful departure from Starbucks and you can really taste the coffee here. I'm so happy their coconut beverages are back for the season! I've had the coconut latte (hot and iced) and the javiva and both are delicious. They even top the javiva with coconut whipped cream! I can't have dairy and they make my drinks with soy. Even the coconut whipped cream is non dairy since it's made with coconut cream. I would love to try their Black Tie coconut version, but since condensed milk is an important component of the drink, I can't really make that without dairy and have it taste the same. I would come here everyday but Peet's locations are hard to come across. Locations are also found in Raley's stores, but in my experience, the drinks are just not as good as the ones you get at the stores. I prefer this location over the one near Lohmens Plaza (the closest one to my job) because that parking lot gets really busy, and the store gets crowded. This one has more seating and is more open. My favorite food items there are: the salted caramel rice krispie treat, mini lemon bundt cake, pumpkin cake, the ham and cheese croissant (not in all locations), and their vegan ginger cookie (best ginger cookie I've had). read more

This Peet's is friendly and an always stop for my husband and I when we come home to visit family in Orangevale. Their lattes always seem to be great. I always get a fat free Carmel latte and it's as strong as Schwarzenegger and smooth as John Travolta's velour jumpsuit. I've spent many times here doing homework in college and meeting with friends over a cup. I miss Peet's dearly in SLC, but that makes it all the more delicious when I get it. read more

ok. this location is inside the Raley's. coffee drinks are fine. pastries are meh. i tried a couple different scones, and was unimpressed with any of them. my bf had coffee cake, which he seemed to like better. it is a full peet's, but that doesn't mean the service is the same as a regular store. the girl working there is pretty quick, i'll give her that. ordering was a little questionable. i ordered a latte, and she just stood there staring at me, clearly waiting for something. i looked confused. finally, she says "hot or cold?" uhm... hot. isn't a latte always hot, unless you say you want it iced? whatever. i was afraid to make the drink too complicated... wasn't sure she could handle anything "special". the bf ordered an iced mocha. she made him a latte. when it came up he pointed out he ordered a mocha. she actually kinda argued the point with him. sorry, but he orders the same drink every day, everywhere he goes... and i was standing right there. i assure you, he didn't say latte. regardless, debating it with him was absurd. she didn't remake it, just added chocolate. pretty sure there's another peet's in the area. if i lived there, i'd be looking for it. read more

Was expecting to have a cold drink this morning from Pete's, like always. So I say my order and the lady said rudely I didn't here you, so I say it again. She says the same thing. So I speak to the side of the plastic folder they have up and she gets very aggressive and yells at me to stay back when I was not even close to her. I was speaking loudly so I'm unsure how she couldn't here me. She then yells at me and tells someone else to take my order and walks off. I am very pregnant so she caused all the stress for no reason. A lady that old should be nicer to people especially in a customer service business. I will be going back to get her name and report her. I have never been treated like that by someone in public. She should not be working or talking with people with her poor people skills. No, Way someone at Peets actually cares!!! the woman who actually helped me name is also "Lisa" too bad its no the same "Lisa" who actually works at the store. I am guessing "Corporate Lisa" who is in the bay area treats her job like someone who actually cares...."Fair Oaks Lisa" treats her job like it just that....a job, that frankly she seems to care less about, sucks that she is actually the store manager. Here is "Corporate Lisa's" email to me. Funny thing is it actually took a Yelp review to get a response from Peets Coffee. First, I am so sorry that you haven't been contacted regarding your experience in our Fair Oaks store. There is simply no excuse and I am truly sorry for our failure. I would also like to apologize for your original experience in our store. We expect that every customer is taken care of, made to feel welcome and valued and, most importantly, they get the drink they want, regular menu item or not. We have clearly not met our own expectations here, as we haven't met yours. I take full responsibility for the clear lack of attention, training and common politeness in this store and will do all I can to remedy the situation in this store and to keep it from ever happening in any other store I oversee. I LOVE PEETS!!! I'm so glad I discovered Peet's coffee, they make it the best way in my opinion. Although the consistency depends on the employee, I typically have a great brew 95% of the time. This is probably the place I go to most often for a great caramel macchiato or javiva. Sadly they close at 7:30 so I have to go elsewhere at times but I always come back when I can. I also love the app, I tend to order before I get there and it's always ready for pickup! :D read more
