I love the food here. We had a party of 6, and we ordered 2 bowls, an order of chicken, 3 bowls of rice, and three fried sampler. It was plenty of food. The service was good. The separate people let us know that they have a new policy where the add 18% tip for parties of 6 or more. And they asked if it was okay. I appreciated them making sure we were aware of the automatic tip. We tried it one weekend and liked it enough to return the following weekend. read more

Tried for the first time. Tteokbokki was good. Fried rice after was tasty. Chicken was ok. I think they can use better oil. Compared to bbq chicken, I could taste oil being old. What I didnt understand was 18% tip for the party that is 6 or more. It s not a full service restaurant. You ordered at the front and cook on your table. The servers really dont do much. Before seating, the server told us it 18% tip because it was 6 of us. I wanted to leave but didnt want to disappoint the kids so we ended up eating there. Places like this where you order and sit down, I dont tip 18%. I still leave some for the ppl cleaning the tables. However, REQUIRING MANDATORY 18% is not what I expected in this type of restaurant. Eventhough we were party of 6, we didn't ask for more service, extra plates, and tipping should never be a requirement but voluntary gesture to show appreciation after receiving good service. I would love to come back and see some improvement since this place has a good potential. read more

The service here was disappointing. An employee invited us to come in, but once we arrived, the manager told us all the tables were taken--even though several tables were visibly available. The inconsistency and lack of courtesy left a bad impression. I don't plan to return. read more

I came to eat around 12:30pm. Food tasted great. So this place you have to ask to put the ingredients into the pot. The amount the employee was putting in was so little I asked for more. But the employee just stood there like she was waiting. I'm assuming the splash guard was blocking the sound. The two employees are on their phones which I don't think is professional and drinking their personal drinks out in the front. My card I guess didn't go through, but midway in getting my food about to eat she said my card was rejected to please come up and retry. She could have asked earlier. And I won't be coming back because she started to spray what ever chemical onto the table behind me while I was eating. I would recommend the employee to spray onto the rag instead of spraying it a lot onto the table and making the chemicals airborne. I think I just had bad luck but overall I think the vibe and food was great. read more

This place has amazing service with the workers being very considerate of the customers. This place allows you to choose your own toppings and even the type of rice cake you want. so bummed by the failed restaurants in this spot and I really wanted to like this place. the wait was unexpectedly long but mostly because its's a small space. the fried chicken was pretty good. on par with most of the fried chicken spots in the vicinity. cant say I enjoyed the tteoboki. the cheese was overkill but at least it gave the pot some flavor. overall not very tasty, just spice and sodium for the most part. ingredients were fresh. the fried items were generally greasy. not sure if the staff only spoke korean but i noticed that they were not very helpful or accommodating to non korean speakers..not rude or anything, just inattentive. we had a hard time getting service until one of my friends started asking in korean and suddenly we were seen. not quite sure what to make of this place yet but will try it when they get their service issues fixed. decent value for what you get but nothing outstanding. read more
