Special event hosted at De Oro La Puerta

Had such an incredible experience at De Oro La Puerta! We hosted an event and the staff was SO helpful and attentive! The hospitality was great and everyone was so kind. They helped with set up and attended to our guests. This hidden gem is the PERFECT place for your special event. The ceiling decor is absolutely beautiful and the food was delicious. Great portions too! I also appreciate how the owners were really flexible and allowed us to bring our own decor, tea set up, desserts, and balloon backdrop. They even let us have a little craft table for the kids. Overall I HIGHLY recommend for your special event or for your next meal. Love this place!

De Oro La Puerta has been on my radar to try for authentic Mexican cuisine. Popped in on a Tuesday afternoon and there was a decent lunch crowd - looks like a fairly good customer base from people working close by. Upon seating we were provided with chips and salsa very quickly and asked for drink orders. A few minutes later, our server came to check in on us to order food. Food cooked fresh as it took about 15-20 minutes. Carne Asada ($24.99): Thin flaps of carne asada with grilled jalapeños, pico de gallo, guacamole, rice, beans, and two tortillas of choice. Meat was a tad overcooked / dry. Used the salsa that was provided with the chips to help with moisture. Steak Fajitas ($25.99): Sizzling cast iron of cut steak, peppers and onions served alongside rice, beans, pico de gallo, guacamole, and two tortillas of choice. Really good flavors from the fajitas though some areas were quite burnt. The sizzling plate also came with a knife left on the side of the cast iron which partially melted due to the heat. Decent portion sizes for the price though it would have been great to get three tortillas for the size of the protein instead of just two. Restaurant inside is a bit dark but they've decorated the ceilings nicely with hanging greenery. Since we went during December, there was also lots of Christmas decor around. Ample parking in the shared parking lot - no issues with parking.

Carne Asada

The food was very delicious. I got the carne asada and it was very tender and flavorful. I would fully recommend the carne asada plate. The service was kind and very responsive. There is a really nice and warm vibe in the restaurant.

Authentic Mexican food here in Brea! Such welcoming and friendly service just like it would be if you were coming over to dinner at a friend's house. Beautiful inside, decorated with lots of flowers and greenery. Food was delicious and fresh. Can't wait to be back to try more dishes.

Authentic Mexican Food the service was fast and friendly, and the restaurant is decorated beautiful. This is my second time eating here.

This place is cute! Had lunch with my dad here twice, did not disappoint! I got the fajitas & chicken mole. The fajitas was a large portion enough for me to have leftover for a 2nd meal. The chicken mole was a lot of chicken I did bring some home. I placed an additional order of tortillas to bring home with my leftovers. This place is delicious. Highly recommend. Fun, cute atmosphere .

Fajitas!

A must try. We come here often. Love love the cheese enchiladas with green sauce. Also the fajitas are great. Combo burrito delicious. Albodigas is really the best. They have revamped the interior to really reflect a garden flair. They add to it for each holiday. Great for families and date nights alike. The people here are super welcoming. Treat you like old friends and family.

We made a reservation and were seated immediately. This location is always very clean and welcoming. We ordered strawberry mimosas, the simple breakfast, omelettes and a burrito with a side of green sauce. Everything was cooked to perfection. The best part of this visit was being served by Thaer. Thaer was a great waiter and extremely attentive. He continued to check on us and did not try to rush us out even though we took quite a bit of time. You have to be careful not to pass it since there is only one entrance to the parking lot , if you pass the entrance you will have to make a U-turn and come back. We didn't think we would get seated fast because the parking lot was pretty full. But we got lucky and were seated right away. Service is pretty good , they have a lot of people working here. The place is really big and has a lot of seating. It was quite busy. I ordered a Spanish omelette and my son ordered the blueberry pancakes. My omelette was ok, it had way too much peppers and I didn't see the cheese , it comes with a side so I went with country potato with onions and bell peppers. I only wish that it included some kind of toast. My son's pancakes were ok, they are only topped with blueberries we thought the blueberries were going to be inside the batter or inside the pancake. He had to add a lot of syrup to make them soft. The one thing I will say is that the house coffee is very good. It's Lavazza coffee which is really good. I wouldn't mind coming back and trying some other options or coming back for lunch or happy hour.

We got the coffee flight: Pistachio, Chocolate, & Horchata. Food was good but it lacked seasoning - i definitely had to add quite a bit of salt and hot sauce to enjoy it. I would probably go somewhere else if I wanted eggs Benedict. We ordered the Birria eggs Benedict and the chilaquiles. It was good but nothing exciting, I would order something else next time or go to a different breakfast spot. But overall, I left happy but not full.
