Special event hosted at De Oro La Puerta

Had such an incredible experience at De Oro La Puerta! We hosted an event and the staff was SO helpful and attentive! The hospitality was great and everyone was so kind. They helped with set up and attended to our guests. This hidden gem is the PERFECT place for your special event. The ceiling decor is absolutely beautiful and the food was delicious. Great portions too! I also appreciate how the owners were really flexible and allowed us to bring our own decor, tea set up, desserts, and balloon backdrop. They even let us have a little craft table for the kids. Overall I HIGHLY recommend for your special event or for your next meal. Love this place!

De Oro La Puerta has been on my radar to try for authentic Mexican cuisine. Popped in on a Tuesday afternoon and there was a decent lunch crowd - looks like a fairly good customer base from people working close by. Upon seating we were provided with chips and salsa very quickly and asked for drink orders. A few minutes later, our server came to check in on us to order food. Food cooked fresh as it took about 15-20 minutes. Carne Asada ($24.99): Thin flaps of carne asada with grilled jalapeños, pico de gallo, guacamole, rice, beans, and two tortillas of choice. Meat was a tad overcooked / dry. Used the salsa that was provided with the chips to help with moisture. Steak Fajitas ($25.99): Sizzling cast iron of cut steak, peppers and onions served alongside rice, beans, pico de gallo, guacamole, and two tortillas of choice. Really good flavors from the fajitas though some areas were quite burnt. The sizzling plate also came with a knife left on the side of the cast iron which partially melted due to the heat. Decent portion sizes for the price though it would have been great to get three tortillas for the size of the protein instead of just two. Restaurant inside is a bit dark but they've decorated the ceilings nicely with hanging greenery. Since we went during December, there was also lots of Christmas decor around. Ample parking in the shared parking lot - no issues with parking.

Carne Asada

The food was very delicious. I got the carne asada and it was very tender and flavorful. I would fully recommend the carne asada plate. The service was kind and very responsive. There is a really nice and warm vibe in the restaurant.

Authentic Mexican food here in Brea! Such welcoming and friendly service just like it would be if you were coming over to dinner at a friend's house. Beautiful inside, decorated with lots of flowers and greenery. Food was delicious and fresh. Can't wait to be back to try more dishes.

Green chicken enchilada dinner. Red enchilada, dinner, potato taquitos, and Carne Asada wet burrito with green sauce.

Authentic Mexican Food the service was fast and friendly, and the restaurant is decorated beautiful. This is my second time eating here.

This place is cute! Had lunch with my dad here twice, did not disappoint! I got the fajitas & chicken mole. The fajitas was a large portion enough for me to have leftover for a 2nd meal. The chicken mole was a lot of chicken I did bring some home. I placed an additional order of tortillas to bring home with my leftovers. This place is delicious. Highly recommend. Fun, cute atmosphere .

Fajitas!

A must try. We come here often. Love love the cheese enchiladas with green sauce. Also the fajitas are great. Combo burrito delicious. Albodigas is really the best. They have revamped the interior to really reflect a garden flair. They add to it for each holiday. Great for families and date nights alike. The people here are super welcoming. Treat you like old friends and family.

We parked across the street near an intersection with a stop sign. Our table inside had a nice view of the Placentia Water Tower, and it felt somehow relaxing to gaze at it in the distance. I ordered the pork carnitas ($18), which included pico de gallo, rice, refried beans with melted cheese, and three warm tortillas. The portion size was large, and I took a some carnitas home. While the carnitas were tender, they weren't as juicy as I hoped. They provided only three tortillas that lost their warmth quickly in parchment paper. The rice had a good texture that had the right amount of firmness. I also tried the guacamole, which had a somewhat fluffy texture with a pleasantly light and savory flavor. While not affecting my review of this restaurant, I wish they served a mole dish.

Luckily, that finally changed and we caught them open! This is a true family-run business, and if you haven't tried it yet, you should. We ordered a 2-item combo with a cheese enchilada, shredded beef taco, rice, and beans, and it was amazing. We also got the chicken à la diabla, and I can honestly say I've never had an à la diabla sauce that good at a restaurant. Everything tasted homemade and so comforting that it felt like leaving a friend's house after a meal his mom made. The vibe was fun, the service was great, and we were lucky enough to have the son taking care of us, which made the experience even better. Thank you for an amazing meal and great conversation. The bartender acknowledged us right away and brought us menus. They had the hockey playoffs on the TV which was great cause we've been tuning in lately too! My fiancé decided on the house margarita and said it was delicious. Even though it was a "small" (they also come in "large") it was a very reasonably sized marg. She said it was pretty strong, so props for that haha. We stuck to the appetizer menu and went with a steak quesadilla and a shrimp ceviche. The Quesadilla was amazing: tons of queso, poblano chilis, and the steak was so juicy. You could really taste every ingredient in this thing. If we go back, I would definitely order it again. The ceviche was my fiancé's favorite, tasty shrimp, peppers, and avocado in a bomb orange/lime juice. I had to stop her from straight up slurping it up like a soup. She was a big fan, and she orders ceviche often. This was our first visit to Cha Cha's and we really enjoyed it. We've seen it a bunch of times while in downtown Brea, so we thought we'd give it a try, and I guess we've been missing out! The ambience was nice: not too loud, strong drinks, long menu, friendly staff, sports on the tv, and I was shocked when I saw the bill, very reasonably priced. We'll be back, for sure!

Came for a girls lunch date earlier to this weekend and this spot did not disappoint!…read more THE SERVICE: 5/5 - Quick, friendly, accommodating, and our waiter made a real effort to engage in conversation with us. The FOOD: 4.5/5 | Drinks: 5/5 Off the appetizers, we had the pork belly bites and dirty fries! First dish came with a long hot pepper, several mini tortillas, and 2 dipping sauces. The pork was crunchy on the outside and soft+succulent on the inside. I can see myself doubling up on this appetizer the next time I come. Dirty fries were great; it came with a generous amount of pickled onions - providing a really nice contrast to the savoriness of our meal. Our waiter graciously accommodated our request to have the egg on the side. Off the entrée/taco menu, my friend ordered the Korean tacos and I got the Ensenada (fish) tacos. But you can also order the Ensenada tacos with shrimp. These were delicious, I would have loved a little more lime crema to go with the fish - but not a big deal. I got a Watermelon Margarita.
