I never write reviews good or bad but the amount of bad experiences that I've had at this one specific pharmacy is alarming. There is a woman at this pharmacy who I will not name but she has berated me on the phone twice and once in person. She answered the phone and after my question confused her she said very bluntly what do you want? In another occasion I asked for clarification and she said she'd already explained it to me. Most of the other employees also seem disgruntled but still manage to speak with respect.I understand that the people in this pharmacy might be overworked but that might be a sign they need a career change because the customer should not suffer because the employees are so miserable. This CVS is the worst CVS I have ever used in my life. It not only takes 2 hours for every prescription no matter what it is, the pharmacist is totally rude. I have never been so disrespected in my life and I'm a mother of 5. All 5 of my children are more respectful than the pharmacist here. I would recommend transferring your prescription to Walgreens. Not only do they fill faster, the are way more respectful. The store part of CVS is fabulous and I absolutely love how friendly the staff are. I'll go with the last guy that said horrible customer service. But just got cussed out by two employees because they kept telling me 10 minutes before closing that I need to hurry. Ok I got it I got 10 min. Warned me again and again like I didn't hear the first time. I asked what time they closed they said 8, I said ok got it. Beware of CVS Pharmacy! This is a long post so to shortcut; I went to CVS for my Flu vaccine and the Pharmacist accidentally gave me the COVID Vaccine. I am not posting this for advice but to inform people that if you use CVS for prescriptions or vaccines you need to be aware of a lack of policies and procedures that should be in place to ensure we, as customers, receive the correct vaccine and or prescription. I have received both Moderna vaccines at Safeway in the spring of 2021. According to CDC guidelines, I do not need the booster because I am a healthy 59-year-old, with no pre-existing conditions. On 9/I4/21, I went to the CVS Pharmacy in Reno off Robb Drive to get my annual flu shot. I registered with the pharmacy and went to the aisle to wait. There was an older man waiting to get his COVID vaccine. The Pharmacist came out and confirmed that I was to receive the Flu vaccine and the man, his COVID vaccine. The Pharmacist administers the vaccine and exclaims - Oh my god, I just gave you COVID versus the flu vaccine. I was obviously shocked and not sure what to do and the Pharmacist did not have a clue and walked back behind the counter. I left because it was apparent, he was not going to assist. I went to a cashier and requested a manager who quickly explained she had nothing to do with the Pharmacy (not my problem) and directed me to the Pharmacist (who was the one who administered the incorrect vaccine). I stopped at the Nurse's station and told them what occurred and all I received was - 'Oh, that is terrible, but I think you will be fine'. I was directed to the MOD at the Pharmacy who did not know what to do but told me a manager would contact me the following day. The nurse did give me a sheet that explained the side effects of the COVID vaccine. The first concern is that NO ONE had any idea what to do. No operating procedures, systems, or policies in place i.e., getting my history for the covid vaccine, taking my statement, documenting what occurred, recording my phone number and email, asking me to wait the standard 15 minutes, etc. The Pharmacist stayed behind the counter and never made eye contact or spoke to me again. Second concern and the most obvious - I did not want my booster until later and thankfully it was Moderna which was my original vaccine. What if I was someone who did not believe in the COVID vaccine? My husband had emergency surgery a few days prior, and I know that I have zero side effects from the flu vaccine but with COVID, I do get very tired, feverish and I needed to be on my game to help my husband. Another manager contacted me later and apologized that he could not find my phone number, so he called my husband's phone. He was nice but very nervous and it was obvious he did not have any training for these situations. He admitted they should have protocols in place, but he kept chuckling because he was nervous which came across as he was not properly trained, and this was my main concern. He said the Risk Department would be in touch (again, not my problem). The Risk Manager contacted me, and I explain what occurred. I emphasized my concern with the lack of any type of protocol and the fact no one knew what to do. He informed me that CVS has blanket immunity for the COVID vaccine. Yes, I am sure you do but that is if I become ill due to the vaccine, but it has nothing to do with the CVS pharmacist administering the incorrect vaccine. Again, it was apparent there was a lack of customer service training. At one point the noise over the phone was so loud I could not hear him, so I asked what was going on. He explained he was working from home; he did not have his noise-canceling headset on and his wife was making a racket. Any manager in this situation should be professional and take this seriously. He did inquire as to what I wanted which was to make sure the team members are trained and if he feels compensation should be given, I would leave that to his department. He asked if a gift card would be acceptable and I explained we were moving out of the country so no, a gift card would not be appropriate. He contacted me the following week and asked if I would like a $100 gift card which I declined. By the way, I did go back to check on the man who was awaiting his vaccine to make sure he was okay. He was older, probably mid to late '80s and I would have felt terrible if something happened to him. He seemed to be fine but I don't think he will go back to CVS. read more

Epic fail. Pharmacy is beyond slow and incompetent. I go to pick up a refill, they charge me full price $140. I have insurance (same one, never changed) forever and my copay is $40. So, after waiting in line for 15 minutes, now I have to go to the consult line to fix THEIR problem and there are two other people ahead of me (of course taking their time, oblivious to the rest of the world). Finally get to the counter and they didn't bill it through insurance. Why not? I've been going there for YEARS. Wait 15 minutes, they finally fix the problem, then wait another 15 minutes in line to pay for it. What an EPIC WASTE OF MY TIME. 45 minutes for what should've been a 10 minute pickup the first time. I would give this place no stars if I could but yelp requires at least one. The service is horrible at the Pharmacy. Avoid Deborah at all cost. I will be submitting a formal complaint with CVS corporate as soon as they reopen during business hours on Monday. Basically went in to drop off our prescription. Was asked to leave the current bottle of pills for them to refill. Came back and Deborah denied having our bottle and said it was not their policy to take old bottles. After insinuating we lied she told is to wait while she looked. 2min later found the bottle and had someone else bring it to is. No apologies no nothing. Don't go to CVS! read more

Let me first say that I am giving 2 stars to be nice... I don't think that all CVS's are like this... But the one on Robb... DAMN! I am in the process of transferring my prescriptions because the people in the pharmacy are too rude to find words for. I hate that they "go over" my prescriptions in front of everyone... I mean I am not getting anything embarrassing... But come on... Do you really think describing the side effects of my birth control to everyone is ok? They do have a drive thru... PLUS... But it takes forever to get anything accomplished in it. BOO The people here seem to hate their jobs. The cashiers look like they are chained to the floors and beat with think sticks... What is going on? 3x this week meds have been sent over by medical professionals only to find out they were ever received at the store. One had to be physically called in by the medical professional. Honestly, businesses need to be made aware that if they are rude there might be a yelp reviewer that they are disrespectful to. Recently I moved to South Reno and was trying to move my prescription from this pharmacy to a Raleys off of Wedge Parkway. The woman I spoke to in the pharmacy, on the phone, was very, very short with me. They already had my prescription ready to go on Robb Dr, but told me that I needed a new refill, and I was only to speak to the new pharmacy and they would handle it. She wouldn't let me get two words in, so finally I interrupted her. I told her the refill has already been accomplished, and that it just needed to go to the new pharmacy. She quickly said, "Okay , we'll take it off the shelf." Then she hung up. I don't know if they were extremely busy, but I would have rather been put on hold and spoken to, and heard in a respectful manner. read more

This is the worst pharmacy ever! I keep going back because it's conveniently located to my house, and I only fill prescriptions when I'm sick. The customer service is terrible - one man literally told me he would not help me because there was nothing he could do and that I needed to make an appointment with my doctor. Finally, after much convincing, he said he would help me but I needed to call back the next day to make sure the correct prescription went through (he refused to call me to follow-up). When I called back the next day, the pharmacist said there was no record of the processing from the previous day. On another visit, when I arrived to fill a prescription, the pharmacist told me I had already picked it up so they didn't have it. I said, "If I already picked it up, then I wouldn't be here right now." It turns out, they gave my prescription to someone else! The turn-over here is aweful - so you can never get an experienced, kind person to help you. I'm convinced the staff hates people and hates their jobs. Don't go here if you can help it! read more

YIKES! Be sure to avoid this pharmacy! They'll call or text you that your prescription is ready only to make you wait 30 minutes for them to fill it when you get there. They're totally unorganized! One tech told me that my insurance expired, so I came back with my insurance card only to have a different tech tell me that my insurance is up to date (while talking down to me, no less). They have a very high turn-over rate for their techs and more than once they've loudly announced what my prescription is. Unacceptable. I'm moving to a different pharmacy. read more

I was so disappointed with their customer service that I moved to a pharmacy across the street after being a loyal customer for as long as I can remember. The wait has gotten to be very long (sometimes waiting 60-90 minutes when walking in with a prescription). They have some great people working for them but the good ones seem to disappear quickly. During my last encounter with CVS over the phone I was speaking to an extremely rude woman. I asked for the pharmacist only to be told she was the pharmacist. That was the last straw. I'm now at my new pharmacy and could not be happier. They are always friendly and the longest I've had to wait for a prescription is 15 minutes and that is when they are busy. I have been going to this pharmacy for a couple years now and never had an issue until the last couple months. I think they are going through new management? The staff have been very rude and unwilling to help - I am having surgery on Monday and I have to quarantine and I went through the drive through and asked if they could grab me some Miralax and she refused even after I told her my situation, she replied "if I help you then I will have to help everyone" really? Prior to that they were always going out of there way to help there customers, I asked before for an OTC and there was no issue. Before I started quarantine I went in to pick up my prescriptions and the clerk was so rude to everyone including me. I am definitely going to a different pharmacy when I'm back on my feet. read more

The one young man I encountered at the check out was quite nice and patient with all in line. The entry of the store , walls and walkway could use a good clean. The interior of the store is pretty much as the rest in the chain. Purchased one item with a discount of three bucks paying a total of 49 cents makes me a happy guy. read more

I'm honestly shocked this place has two stars. Unfortunately you can't give them zero which is what they deserve. I moved my prescriptions to Raleys quite some time ago because the customer service here is absolutely horrible. But I thought it may be OK to go get my Covid booster. Given that I made an appointment, I thought perhaps this was one thing CVS could actually do right. Nope. I show up for an appointment at 8 PM in the pharmacist is completely irritated. He can't understand why there's an appointment at 8 PM. I don't know, it's what I was allowed to select online, and the one time that was available. Angrier as can be he tells me to go sit and he'll get to me whenever. Obviously irritated at having prescriptions to fill and now me. I don't want this guy anywhere near me with a needle. This is situation 100 of horrible CVS experiences. Do yourself a favor, be smarter than I am and find any other pharmacy. read more

These guys have lots of technical issues. I have to call my insurance company almost every time they cannot get something through. I would never come here if it was not my preferred by my insurance company. Constant issues with refills as well. I visited the Minute Clinic on my day off for a Strep Culture. The PA I visited was very nice and made me feel comfortable even though I was an all around hot mess. My visit began at roughly 3pm and ended at 3:20. She asked me general questions, took my temperature, listened to my lungs, checked all vital signs etc. Within 20 minutes she diagnosed me and sent my prescription over to be filled immediately. There was no copay with my insurance (Anthem BCBS). I was very impressed with the CVS Minute Clinic and will likely visit again in place of Urgent Care. The only reason I would not give a full 5 stars is because when I first arrived for check in at 1pm, there was no notification about the provider's one hour lunch break at 1:20. I only found out because another patient asked me if I was aware. Luckily, CVS has a text service so you can leave the store and receive a 30 minute notice before your appointment. I went to pick up my prescription and I was patiently waiting in line. The Asian lady acknowledged me and told me that she will be right with me. The white, bigger lady (didn't get a name) said she'll take me and she had the most bitter attitude at the counter like I don't even know her??? She didn't give me any kind of direction when my insurance didn't prompt. The Asian lady asked if she needed any help but she said "no I got this" in such a rude way.. turned around and gave me the nastiest look. I wanted to ask her what's wrong with her but I continued to just stay quiet. I've never had such an uncomfortable experience. If I could rate this a zero I would. It has taken a month to get necessary medications. After speaking with doctors offices they were not receiving the faxes for authorizations. When the authorization was finally obtained the pharmacy still never filled the prescriptions. They have left me for a month without vital medications. I got the authorizations taken care of and am still stuck waiting. A prescription they've had a month is still taking HOURS to fill. An automatic prescription, days. Life sustaining medications and they don't care. read more

recently started school again at the highschool up the street. went down there today to get some lunch and saw a sign that said there is only one student let in at a time. i don't have a problem with having a limit since i know stealing is an issue, but one student in allowed at a time when twenty others are trying to go in for lunch? the limit should at least be 3. i tried to go in and asked the worker if i was allowed in since i didn't have a backpack but she told me no. im not going back there until they change their ridiculous "one student at a time" rule. read more

I've been using cvs regularly for years at several locations. Yes I've had my fair share of mishaps. I've learned to lower my expectations and request my refills in advance within the laws of course. Came in today to pick up two of my ten daily medications that were ready and the pharmacist noticed my RX had been sent across town to another CVS. Leane took the time to call and have them cancel on their end so she could fill on her end. Noticing I was in my work uniform she expressed concern that they would be closed when I got off and gave me enough of my medications for my night dose. It was nice to have the pharmacist care enough to inconvience me by making me drive all the way across town with 30 minutes to get to work! The medications tend not to be ready by the "as promised time" for example, today I dropped a prescription off and they told me 2 hours. I showed up 3.5 hours later and the medications were "almost ready, please stand aside and wait." Service is very poor, they don't have much manpower, they have high turnover. This is one of the worst pharmacies in Reno. I'd avoid at all costs. read more

Had a prescription sent to them from the ER after I was rear ended in a car accident. The clerk told me they were too busy that day and I was going to have to wait till the next day to get a prescription that was necessary that day. I had to plead with them. My insurance requires CVS. If I could give this CVS no stars, I would. The pharmacists are awful. If you call, be prepared to be put on hold with no notice and left there for a while. I called to transfer prescriptions from another pharmacy (a good thing for CVS, you would think) and was told that I needed to call my current pharmacy and have them call the pharmacy on Robb. I have transferred prescriptions many times before and have never been asked to do the leg work. When I asked the pharmacist to call instead, she barked back that she would not do that. I asked to talk to the manager, and it turns out she was the manager! I am in the process of transferring my prescriptions to another pharmacy (not CVS)...Pharmacies are a dime a dozen, customer service is all they have. If you are in pain, and they tell you one hour to fill your prescription, expect to be in pain for at LEAST TWICE as long (if not more)! Went in at one hour, was told to wait ten minutes. Waited 30, didn't hear a name called over the intercom, waited in line for 15, then was told it was still not ready. Finally, after another 5-10 minutes it showed up. The pharmacy ran out of my generic blood pressure pills February 21 2019. They said it would be a couple of days. A week later I ran completely out and they "found" a 2 day supply for me. When that ran out they "found" a 7 day supply. Today I got a text saying my pills were ready for pickup. When I got there, they said they were still out! They checked the computer that said the Keystone store had "plenty". When she called them, they too said they were out! What a miserable way to run a store. I went to check the prices for the photo blankets, I had accidentally printed the receipt to confirm the purchase. I waited in line to cancel the order since it was my fault. There were 2 cashiers open and about 5 people in line. One of the cashier was a "manager" that was helping cover this location. He was trying to help a customer who was concerned about not receiving her discounts. As a manager I understand trying to multi task and trying to help customer concerns. The manager, instead of taking the customer to his station, held up the line and was yelling from his station to the other station. Then after he settled that he called us over. I explained to him the situation and instead of acknowledging me, he kept looking at the line. He then took the receipt and said he will take care of it later. I told him I didn't want to pay for it so I wanted to make sure. He said to call the next day and speak to a representative or the manager. Fine I wait until the next day. I called and spoke to a lady who was rude. She kept asking me questions like she didn't understand. " I want to cancel an order that was placed in your Kodak kiosk" how hard is that?? She then placed me on a 15 min hold to come back and tell me she couldn't find my order and if the store calls me saying my order was in, to just say cancel and I don't want the order. Which is why I was calling. I just didn't want to waste their time on a mistake I made. It is just "another" retail store, I can shop somewhere else.. read more

I have gone to this pharmacy for a few years and always wonder who I can talk to about the personnel attitude in the pharmacy. I would love to use a different pharmacy but my insurance prefers CVS. Otherwise I would drop this one like a bad habit. I think someone should look at who is in charge at the pharmacy. The turnover rate is high and everyone acts like they don't want to be there or their best friend just died. It definitely makes me think that someone above makes everyone miserable. Additionally a 2 hour wait for pain meds after major surgery is unacceptable. Then to not call or send a text as requested when the prescription is ready is poor customer service. read more

I love all the coupons and the money back that I get from CVS. They always seem to have what I need for myself and my family. The staff at this location are always super nice and are very helpful. They also recognize me. Which feels great. . We get all of our prescriptions filled through this CVS for my family of 3. Always nice to find good deals. And they were the ones who still had good deals in stock when I was scrambling to find Valentine's cards and candy for my daughter. Thanks CVS~~ you ROCK!!! read more
