For an independent bakery scraping by, that makes complete sense. For a thriving six-location restaurant group with real momentum and expansion capital, it feels like a bridge too far. The brand story and the people behind it are genuinely compelling -- that content should be how you invite customers deeper into your world, not an additional revenue line. The food earns five stars. The Substack paywall earns a raised eyebrow. Share your story freely -- you've clearly earned the audience.

I think the peach cardamom scone was my favorite today! I was happy that they could make my tea iced as it was a really hot summer day. The server was amazing, she was attentive and friendly. We did the Jasmine Glow tea and the Strawberry Chocolate Pu'erh. The teas were amazingly delicious! They were so good that we bought some to bring home. The bites were flavorful, just the right size, and complemented each other beautifully. You could taste the love and care that went into each one of the items.
