They have a fully painted parking lot, which is something I've never seen, bars preventing large vehicles from entering, and the architecture of the building itself is out there. It also looks from the outside that it's the largest Walgreens in history. However, when you walk in, it's exactly what you expect from a typical Walgreens, which isn't a bad thing.

I have only been almost squished about 3 times in the last 10 years. Not bad for Reno. CONVENIENCE: They are no longer open 24 Hours. The Pharmacy window is only open 9:00am to 8pm with a half hour closure for lunch. The rest of the store still cares a huge collection of stuff. Items that apparently are "shoplifting magnets" ie most beauty products are now in locked shelves. ATMOSPHERE There seem to be fewer "dodgy" patrons than in the past. Shelves are better displayed and don't seem as cramed. It is clean and well lit. SERVICE: Still pretty slow, and staff has been drastically reduced. I have had no problems with either the pharmacy or the front checkout, it just takes a while. On the plus side, staff are friendly and professional. My insurance no longer covers prescriptions from Walgreens. I just learned that Walgreens is not affiliated with the large third-party Pharmacy Benefit Manager. So the convenience and location have been major factors in me continuing to shop here.

I don't know how much of the fiasco is this location's fault and how much is the corporate system's…read morefault. I do know that it took 4 days and multiple communications with my 2 doctors and the pharmacy to get a refill on my prescription that has been on file with CVS since 2014. There is no excuse for requesting the refill from the wrong doctor or having a phone number on file that hasn't been used in over 12 years or giving me instructions that I followed that were wrong. Finally, there is no reason for my doctor to have had to submit the new Rx via fax 3 times before they finally got it, I haven't decided whether or not to change pharmacies only because,as I said at the start of this review, I don't know who is to blame. I do know we all have to be careful with our prescriptions no matter what pharmacy we use. One last note...despite being told that I would start receiving text messages from CVS regarding the status of my prescriptions I did not receive any notification.

When I stepped to the cashier, Rochelle, she patiently listened to my request and earnestly accommodated. The transaction was quick and pleasant even though she was handling both the manual and self-check out sections. Overall, our interaction was positive and professional.

These folks work hard to make sure you have all the medicine you need, through prescription foul-ups, insurance gaps and whatever else. Throw down those CVS shackles. Cast aside those Walgreens fetters. If you live in Reno/Sparks area this is the only pharmacy worth your time. Best of all, they provide free door delivery. What more could you ask for?

The woman behind the counter jumped through all kinds of hoops to facilitate my request. At the same time her back-up was at the register. When the photo enlargement was accepted by the photo system, I ws advised by the computer to return in 30 minutes to pick up the photo. By this time, the two women switched places. When the original woman assisted with a different purchase, I remarked that I would see her after I had some dinner. She queried why I didn't already have my photo, she expedited the processing. The woman formerly at the register rushed back to the photo department to facilitate the printing. I had my enlargement. I ran a Google Maps search for Walgreens locations near me, and this location popped up. I figured I'd try calling, and it was a Christmas miracle because there was NO hold wait! I usually have to sit on hold with other Walgreens locations so long that I don't even bother calling anymore; I just show up. Not this location! I got immediate assistance on the phone, and not only was she able to accommodate me for the 2 days of medications I needed, but she also applied a coupon that made my out-of-pocket expense VERY low. My baby is crying. There's literally a box and tape right next to her. She's wanting me to buy a box but it's 4x the size of what I need plus I'd have to buy packing materials to do that. A kind vendor that overheard what happened offered me packing materials. There's not even a way to change the store to somewhere else so I have to ship here. I Walk to a store down the street who also doesn't sell the right size box. The worker at the other store very kindly offered me an inventory box and I got packaging from the kind vendor. ... would've taken the Walgreens employee 30 seconds to help me and no cost to the company to help me out.
