They have a fully painted parking lot, which is something I've never seen, bars preventing large vehicles from entering, and the architecture of the building itself is out there. It also looks from the outside that it's the largest Walgreens in history. However, when you walk in, it's exactly what you expect from a typical Walgreens, which isn't a bad thing.

I have only been almost squished about 3 times in the last 10 years. Not bad for Reno. CONVENIENCE: They are no longer open 24 Hours. The Pharmacy window is only open 9:00am to 8pm with a half hour closure for lunch. The rest of the store still cares a huge collection of stuff. Items that apparently are "shoplifting magnets" ie most beauty products are now in locked shelves. ATMOSPHERE There seem to be fewer "dodgy" patrons than in the past. Shelves are better displayed and don't seem as cramed. It is clean and well lit. SERVICE: Still pretty slow, and staff has been drastically reduced. I have had no problems with either the pharmacy or the front checkout, it just takes a while. On the plus side, staff are friendly and professional. My insurance no longer covers prescriptions from Walgreens. I just learned that Walgreens is not affiliated with the large third-party Pharmacy Benefit Manager. So the convenience and location have been major factors in me continuing to shop here.

I find all of the personnel efficient and helpful. They run a small operation right now (since they're fairly new) but they do it well. If there is a problem they will go out of their way to make sure everything is correct and taken care of. I appreciate their professionalism. These folks work hard to make sure you have all the medicine you need, through prescription foul-ups, insurance gaps and whatever else. Throw down those CVS shackles. Cast aside those Walgreens fetters. If you live in Reno/Sparks area this is the only pharmacy worth your time. Best of all, they provide free door delivery. What more could you ask for?

Since we were already there, we figured we'd at least get our flu shots. Unfortunately, we were then told that August was too early to get the flu shot. Thankfully, I was able to get a couple of the other vaccinations we needed for our upcoming travel. What was frustrating was finding out later that any location can apparently order vaccines if they choose to. If we had been given that information upfront, we would have had another option rather than simply being told it wasn't available. I understand that not every location will have every vaccine in stock, but better communication and letting customers know their options would have made a big difference. Thankfully, I called ahead to double-check that the Lemmon Valley location had the vaccines we needed before making the drive all the way from Fernley. I spoke with Roshane several times, and she was absolutely patient, pleasant, and helpful. She followed up and even ordered additional vaccines to make sure they would have enough on hand. She truly went out of her way to take care of her customers! When we arrived, Karina was also pleasant and helpful. She took the time to answer our questions and clarify the normal process that each location should be following, which helped explain some of the confusion we experienced at the Fernley pharmacy. A big THANK YOU to Roshane and Karina for providing such excellent customer service! They were both friendly, professional, and genuinely willing to help. Karina even acknowledged me regarding a separate concern and was able to have the Pharmacist speak to me regarding an allergy recommendation; he too was pleasant and helpful. Unfortunately, that level of service hasn't been consistent at the Fernley Pharmacy, particularly with a couple of the pharmacy techs we've dealt with. Hopefully, this is something that can be addressed because good communication and customer service really do make a difference. So in Fernley I now pick up my RX from Walmart vs Walgreens.

He was very attentive and worked well with the Pharmacy Technician Lucy who was able to tell us that the prescriptions were in the system. We provided the insurance card and had a seat for a few minutes and Gerry walked us through the prescriptions. It was a fabulous experience and we would highly recommend the pharmacy at this location.

I've repeatedly received incorrect messages about my prescriptions, and my important medications are often delayed. The customer service at the pharmacy is also very poor and needs major improvement. After dealing with my fifth inconvenience in just two months, I've decided to part ways and move my prescriptions elsewhere. I hope the pharmacy team can address these issues for future customers.
