The CVS staff members are over the top friendly and helpful. The pharmacists, are very efficient and effective in keeping my multiple Rxs filled in a timely manner. The computers are consistently down, and technical issues are a constant every time I come pick up my meds. A lot of the staff are super kind and especially some of the younger people are really attentive and willing to help, however every time I go in I see a higher up be incredibly rude to their own staff. I've seen so much as someone in a higher position yell at their employees for nothing and in front of costumers, or just generally giving really rude orders to their employees. If that's in front of customers I wonder how it is when no one's around. Hopefully they're paying their employees fairly for that kind of poor treatment. read more

Our insurance changed to CVS, so we started coming here fairly recently. We have had various vaccinations there, it's easy to make an appointment and the staff are very nice. Sometimes there's a line and depending on whether a customer has a problem, there can be a wait. But it's way better than the Raley's pharmacy across the street! read more

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE....never again will I step foot in this store. I had 2 critical prescriptions filled directly from my doctor to this pharmacy. I received three text messages from CVS advising me that 1. They had received my RX from the Dr. 2. They had Filled my RX, 3. A reminder to Pick Up my RX. When I arrived at the store to pick them up they had no record of ANY OF THIS. They were very lazy and disinterested in looking at the text messages to try to resolve. The store was clean and orderly. I was looking for a specific item. The pharmacy didn't know if they carried it. He sent me up to the h e front registers. Juan, the cashier, looked it up and they had it. He told me the aisle and shelf number. I started to go to the aisle. Juan went with me and found the item. Juan went above and beyond. Instead of letting me go and search, he followed me back and found it for me. He is an asset to the CVS organization. Thank-you Juan! This CVS is a great neighborhood drugstore for the locals. I purchased a gift card at CVS Robb Drive in Reno. I received a message from the vendor that the card was not valid, so I went back to the store to rectify the situation. I was told by a clerk that there was nothing which could be done by CVS. I asked for the manager, Iris, and was told that she was on a break and that I should wait until she finished her break, but that CVS could do nothing. I waited and then left the store when she didn't appear. The clerk directed me to call CashStar the card vendor, which I did. I was told by CashStar to reach out to the company which issued the card - Sephora. Rather than call, I drove to the closest Sephora and dealt with the issue there. Following, I sent a complaint to CVS via their Customer Care email. CVS referred me to a Customer Care number, which I called; I spoke to a CVS representative, then was put on hold - for 7 minutes and then disconnected. Finally, I sent one more message to CVS hoping for some assistance. I was directed to either call again or fill out a form online. I am done. CVS won't see me again. read more

I understand that this pharmacy gets real busy and chaotic, there are lines. BUT When most of the entire staff is RUDE, visibily tired-overwhelmed, annoyed, this makes the situation 100x worse. We scheduled a rapid covid testing for our 5yr old son. We thought it would be a drive thru testing but turns out you need to go inside which is better imo. We scheduled the test online, before you do, make sure you have a picture of your insurance card inside your phone or computer so you can upload it later rather than going around finding your card because they only give you 15min to fill out the necessary forms once you confirm the time. Once you arrive at the parking lot (don't bother come early for your appt, just arrive 5min early), you will see a white container (shed) located on the side of the building. Park your car near by, doesn't have to be the testing parking spot. Then just wait for the nurse to call you on your phone, it's not a local number so don't think it as a spam call. Once called, you will walk in with your child into the patient entrance, have your temperature and heartbeat measured. Then you will perform the test to your child. From entering to out took about about 5 min. Then you will just wait in your car, a lab tech will call you with the result in about 15min. Overall a great experience at this testing location. It is the only one that's close from Truckee for rapid test, the other one is in South Lake Tahoe. (As of 2/16/2021) read more

There was only one other person in the waiting room and I asked if she could squeeze me in after and she told me she's booked up. No sincerity, completely unprofessional. Same long term employees are wonderful! I don't know what else to say. It's a drug store that's open many hours a day and very convenient.

We come to this CVS quite often for odds and ends. They seem to have almost everything including printer ink which was surprising. I get photos printed same day through the CVS app (the computer there didn't work well for uploading photos). The employees have been friendly and the store stocked and clean. read more

It's starting to become a trend that no pharmacy is professional or cares about customer/patient support and it is no different at this location. We just moved here and I needed to fill prescriptions for an upcoming surgery. Good thing I had them called in early because it has taken 4 different trips to get them filled and one of them still is not correct. Now I have to deal with it at an out-of-town pharmacy. They didn't contact me with questions or my physician office and just either did not fill items or filled them incorrectly according to any standard of care (1 syringe of lovenox instead of 5). Call the physician if you have questions...or READ the prescription? The entire pharmacy industry should be replaced. Definitely won't be back to this location, would give zero stars if I could. read more

Ugh. Pharmacy always seems understaffed despite no one being in line to pick anything up. When I can get help to pick up prescription staff seems rushed, irritable and not especially helpful. They make little effort to help resolve conflicts that are the result of pharmacy transfer. I've given up trying to do business by phone and just go as it's less frustrating. The incompetence at any CVS pharmacy makes you wonder just how many people they've killed with their continued, complete incompetence. My daughter was at urgent care this morning and a prescription was called over to the CVS on Robb and Mae Ann. She waited several hours, got in the drive-through line and approach the window. The person at the window and asked for her name and date of birth. After keying in information she informed her she was not in the system and there was no prescription for her. My daughter questioned this And was told the urgent care probably didn't send it over. My daughter got out of line, dialed the urgent care and was advised they had called it in hours ago and was further advised by Urgent care that there was obviously something wrong with CVS system because she had to resubmit several prescriptions already today. So my daughter got back in line waited another 15 minutes and once again was told there was no prescription. My daughter offered to call the urgent care doctor and was advised they can't take phone calls on personal phones the urgent care must call CVS. OK so for the third time after waiting another 15 minutes and talking to urgent care, urgent care decided to call CVS personally. This time when my daughter got to the window she was greeted by the rude person with "Oh it's you again!" My daughter finally passed her her license because she thought possibly this incompetent person had keyed her name in wrong and lo and behold once this rude obnoxious individual got the information correct up popped both prescriptions. There was never I'm sorry for the miscommunication or making you get in line 3 times and wasting over an hour attempting to retrieve your prescription. Since CVS pretty much has the market in this area on many of the prescriptions that are doled out they don't have to provide customer service, Service recovery, or even provide competent individuals in their pharmacies. Zero stars would be a gift because they don't deserve one. It's unfortunate I can't give negative stars or this would be a -5. read more

This is not my regular pharmacy, but it is my husband's. In comparing it to the other CVS Pharmacies in Reno, this one is one of the nicest. It is clean and well-lit. My husband has had no difficulties with his prescriptions here. The few times I have "tagged along" there has been no wait in line, items were ready and as prescribed, and the staff were professional. If it weren't so out-of-the-way I would consider making this my regular pharmacy. read more

This place used to be my pharmacy. They were efficient at texting me and emailing me letting me know that my prescriptions were ready. They always have a lot of items at a reduced price, Some items at a ridiculously low price! I enjoyed running around the store like a little kid, finding deals on things that I didn't actually know I needed! The problem I have with these folks, is the actual pharmacy itself! The folks working in the pharmacy have lost all of their joy! And kindness! The last time I used them, was when I was on my way back from Sacramento, and called them to question a text I received telling me they wouldn't have my prescription ready for another day or two. The person on the phone told me they did not have those eyedrops in stock. I asked him if there was another CVS pharmacy that might have those drops in stock, and he simply told me that I could call each one of them in Reno and ask them if they might have my eyedrops! I was driving east on I80! There was no way I could stop and make half a dozen phone calls to hunt down a bottle of eyedrops I desperately needed! I think customer service means that you would be the one calling for me or at least looking on a computer database to locate those particular drops and then called me back to tell me which store it was that had those eyedrops! Needless to say, I made a quick decision to switch pharmacies! I called a Reno Walmart pharmacy and ask them if they had those eyedrops. They said "of course!". They even called up the CVS pharmacy and had them send the prescription over to Walmart pharmacy! It was waiting for me when I arrived in town! And it was four dollars cheaper! Pharmacy staff is rude and they are just waiting for elderly to rip them off. Doctor sent RX which I had never had these meds before and I went to pick up. My Cigna insurance copay is $10 each RX. One was $60 and I did not know what it was or for and why not covered.....I asked clerk who didn't know anything and canned over pharmacist. Was told it was for heartburn which I don't have and I would need to check with insurance why copay is so high. There were people behind me and store was closing soon so I paid. Got home and found same brand and medicine available otc for $15. I took unopened bags/RX back next morning. Pharmacy refused to take back meds or credit me difference. She rudely told me that my doctor should have informed me it was available otc..given I had asked her what med was for And why copay so high why didn't she tell me it was available otc? I am not sure CVS understands what is at stake with Prescription Medicine. They are not serving gelato or chocolate mochas. This is serious business with no room for error. Thankfully I am not on life saving medication. If I were, it would NOT be at this pharmacy. I have received robo-calls that claim I have Rx available for pick up only to arrive and have them tell me that is not the case. I had a clerk tell me the other day that my medication would be ready in 2 hours (YES 2 hours to REFILL a prescription) and that they would call me as soon as it was ready. I called them 26 hours later since they had not called and found out the "automated system" had been down for several days. So unless the girl had planned on actually calling me, which judging by her attitude, she did not, I would have never been informed. The pharmacy is too small for the volume of pills they pop out, I mean clients they service. The drive thru is a nice touch but a manager for CVS has informed me that they are not allowed to move customers along that are not just dropping off or picking up. I guess in the 2 hour refill world that would tend to clog up the drive thru window pretty bad. The work space is always disheveled. Often times it takes them 2 or 3 guesses as to where your meds might be. Customer service is a gamble, there are 2 young dark haired girls there that always strive to let you know you are really bothering them by being a customer, there are a few other people that have good intentions and are just friendly enough. I am pretty sure the store manager, who is not a Pharmacist, has dispensed medications. This may not actually be the case, however, if I am mistaken it is because the person had no ID tag on to ID himself as a Pharmacist, had no lab coat on, and did not appear in the licensing section that is required to be posted in the Pharmacy. read more

I went to pick up a few prescriptions after leaving the doctor's office. I was helped right away and called up nearly immediately to get the medication! But then when I got to the car, I realized that I only had one of 3 prescriptions. So I had to get back in line again and check in again and wait again. Yes, it was my fault for not noticing, but I also wish the tech would've noticed I had three pending and not just check me in for one. I was there about an hour instead of ten minutes. All in all, the staff was friendly and helpful while they were busy and while I was kind or irritated about the situation. read more

While picking up a prescription at CVS last night I decided to pick up a couple of other things as well. I wanted to get a nice body wash (I have a sunburn). I found Nivea Foaming Silk Mousse marked $5.99. When I got to the check out I was informed that I could not purchase the product. When I asked why I was given no real explanation, just that the system said I could not make the purchase. I tried to explane that there was an extire section of this product on the shelf but I got no response. The salesperson simple put it to the side, rang up the other items and asked me for my card. I was so taken back that I just left dumbfounded without my body wash. I usually get good service at CVS. Not sure what's up. Disappointed. read more

For the pharmacy only - bad, terrible, the worst. I have seen a few people lose their sh*t at the counter trying to deal with the staff here. They simply don't care. At. All. Specifically, they just aren't helpful. If you have a question they blow you off, very dismissive. Wait times are atrocious, and I changed pharmacies rather than deal with them for my monthly meds. Oh, and if you have a discount script card, forget it, they are 3x the cost of Safeway or Raley's just down the road. A lot of insurance companies are making people go here, just use the discount script card and go to any other pharmacy and it will STILL be cheaper than using your insurance at CVS. read more

The pharmacy here tried to kill me. Never ever ever again will I go to a CVS. I tried three times to refill my medication, including getting a fresh prescription sent from my doctor, and this location still tried to screw me over and cancel my medications. After multiple phone calls and messages and stupid automated systems unable to talk to an actual pharmacist, I had to go light headed head spinning chest pounding and wait in line for my damn medicine. I have the worst luck with pharmacies ever. If it weren't me, I'd actually find the situations pretty entertaining. With that said, after transferring pharmacies more times than I can count, I finally found the best one I've ever known. The pharmacists are great -- not the type that tries to play doctor and they are always very friendly and accommodating. I travel for work which makes my schedule a disaster for trying to get meds and they have been by far the easiest I have ever dealt with. I also find their refill times to be as good as one can realistically hope for. read more

Nice selection of specials. Unfortunately, the cash register sometimes does't know about the special. People behind the register give answers that are contradictory, such as "do you have a limited use card that allows me to get the discounts?" One shift, "yes, let's use it." Next shift "we never have those." On the other hand they were open late and had the COVID tests. read more

The pharmacists are super friendly and take time to learn the names / birthdays of their customers, and they always manage to get things ready in an efficient manner even when they are absolutely swamped. I've been using this pharmacy for years and they've always been so patient even when I've had irritating insurance issues.
