I don't normally write reviews asking for outside intervention, but this is something I genuinely believe the local health department should take a look at. While shopping in the refrigerated section, I found packaged hot dogs still displayed for sale with significant greenish/dark discoloration compared with the surrounding product. I took photos because the difference was immediately noticeable and concerning. I'm not a food inspector, and I'm not going to claim I know exactly what caused the discoloration. That's precisely why I think it deserves to be inspected by someone qualified to determine whether the product was safe, properly refrigerated, within date, and being handled according to food-safety standards. This wasn't a dented box or an item sitting on the wrong shelf. This was refrigerated food being offered for purchase that looked concerning enough that I wouldn't feel comfortable feeding it to my family. Walmart needs to take refrigerated food quality control seriously, and I believe this particular situation warrants review by the appropriate health department. Low prices and convenience mean very little if customers can't feel confident about the condition of the food on the shelves. read more

Was sitting in my car in the parking lot after dropping off my kids at school nearby. I noticed a couple of cars parked with some shady people taking turns going back in a couple times. They were casing the place and came out with various merchandise. I flagged down the Security Patrol in the parking lot and they told me that just a few days ago Walmart got rid of their inside Security, so not much they can do! Now don't you feel dumb Walmart?! This is most likely going to keep happening. Shame on you! When I was inside an old lady knocked over a display and a worker saw it happen and did nothing. So I picked up the display to help out and the worker didn't even say thanks... that would've been nice. I asked a worker where something was and they didn't understand me, English was definitely difficult for them. The front part of the store is dingy and looks like it's under construction...? Lots of work needs to be done at this store. read more

I try NEVER to shop at Walmart. There's too many foriegn employees that don't speak or understand English. They have been caught SOOO MANY TIMES RIPPING CUSTOMERS OFF that I don't trust their sales tactics. But yesterday I had to go to Walmart. I needed a child booster seat immediately. So I went in there and found one that was listed at 20 bucks on the shelf but when I got to the cashier he couldn't speak understandable English and he tried to charge me 37.00. I thru a fit. And called for a manager. It was Alexis. THIS woman went back and came told me it was the ones underneath that was 20 bucks and she even brought me a cheaper one to check out with. I appreciated that she went the extra mile for me. Now, that will not make me shop there more bc it's still a deceitful nasty store bit I want Alexis to know she is a star in a field of stones and may God bless her! read more

Did an online order yesterday. Itv was delivered in a timely manner, but the cherry tomatoes were moldy, and you could obviously see it through the plastic container that they were beyond anything anyone would eat. Went back online and was issued a refund for my cherry tomatoes. Fast forward to today when I want to serve potato salad with our sandwiches for dinner, only to discover the Amish potato salad from yesterday's order had the seal broken and looked as though someone had been eating it. Again, I went to customer service online and filed my report, only to be told that I had to go through their Customer Service 800 number. I called customer service and reached their "new AI assistant", who informed me that I had to return the opened potato salad package to the store if I wanted credit. I will say I haven't had many issues with Walmart delivery and I usually order every couple weeks or so. This time, however, was nothing but hassles and an additional hassle to get credit on an item that had been opened and eaten out of! If Walmart can't trust what I tell them issues on my order, I'm not going waste any more time by going to the store, standing in line for 15 to 20 minutes at the return desk, only to receive a five dollar credit on container of opened potato salad. I should know better, Customer Service is an oxymoron at Walmart. read more

This particular Walmart Is Incredibly Slow for Pickup and Delivery. It's like they only have one person. Also, They allow Employee's to park in the Pickup spots. I saw 3 employees return to their cars, take off their sun shields at 1:30ish during my 45min wait. I also saw many customers parking there and walking into the store. This Area is Way too Over Crowded 50% spots are used by people no using the service or their carts they leave in other spots. The Mngr should be fired, this store has really gone down hill fast. read more

Although I don't shop inside, every week I pick up my groceries through their free pick up option. It has saved me so much time and money browsing isles of stuff I don't need and with kids it's the easiest option. The employees are always so nice while delivering my order and they even load up my car for me! Thank you so much Walmart for this cost effective option of picking up groceries! read more

Once again, guessing I don't learn from past experience... The Northwest Reno Wal-Mart is the worse managed store in town. Today, I went there to purchase 4 items. Because of previous bad experience, I checked the store's website & it confirmed each asile # and said they were in stock. NOT TRUE. After waiting 15 minutes for an employee to help me search the stationary section, the clerk said she had never even been in this section. Another clerk was called who ended up telling me: "NEVER BELIEVE WHAT THE STORE'S WEBSITE SAYS ABOUT SOMETHING BEING IN STOCK" ..clearly, enough is enough !! read more

Customer service and professional attitude. A mid-management employee made a remark if a customer was unsatisfied with a situation maybe they should go to another Walmart. The attitude of many employees is very bad. The young girl in customer service wouldn't even look you in the eye, smile or talk. She was like a robot. Management is very poor at this store! This past Saturday night I was reminded why I don't go to Walmart unless I ABSOLUTELY have to. I needed to buy a pair of compression socks. I checked online and found that the store on 7th street had them. I copied down all the pertinent information and then went to the store. I went up to a Greeter who tried hard to find me a location, but he could only direct me to Men's Socks. I didn't think that was right, so I went to Customer Service. I showed them my info and asked them for a location. The teenager at the counter said that since he didn't know what compression socks were, he couldn't look them up to give me a location. Frustrated, I set off for Men's Socks, where an associate said they indeed had them and directed me to a locked glassed-in case. A quick scan told me this was not where I would find the socks. On a hunch, I headed to Sporting Goods, where I found them. I made my choice and took them to checkout. But the socks wouldn't scan! Two associates came to help and they determined that the item was on a "recall" and thus couldn't be sold to me. Totally frustrated, I left the store and immediately drove to a Target in Sparks. There, I found exactly what I wanted and was headed home within fifteen minutes. read more

I stopped by my local Walmart hoping to get a bag of ice. Not going to lie, I didn't have my hopes up nor would I'll ve been surprised if they were out. Surprisingly they were decently stocked with ice and for a large bag it was under $5. I went to the self-checkout since I only had the bag of ice, however there was a long line. The employee overseeing the self checkout saw I only had the ice and ushered me over and rang me up. That was really nice of her to do. read more

I was shopping for tortillas today. When I got to the aisle, it honestly looked great. Problem is while looking at the brand & variety I liked THEY WERE ALL EXPIRED back in the first half of February. GROSS. I kept digging & found more expired in JANUARY - DISGUSTING. Then I found a package EXPIRED 11/07/2024 - That is straight-up ROTTING FOOD!! THIS IS NOT A ONE-TIME OCCURENCE!! I was in the store days before the Super Bowl to purchase Lil Smokies & found a similar situation with products expiring in DECEMBER. I was formerly employed at this store as an overnight stocker (at least 2 General Managers ago) & I know that we were hassled then by overnight management not to spend time on the quality of the stock on the shelves, just the appearance of the stock on the shelves. That may not be the case any longer, but either management isn't managing or the employees are not following the expectations and management still needs to step in to address this. This location has signage up that they are going to bother with a "Grand Reopening in May, but if all the "small" issues like this aren't addressed, I'll avoid this store completely rather than using it as a last resort. I hope the current GM, Jonathan, takes this feedback seriously and makes the necessary changes. read more

I've shopped here numerous times and noticed one thing - this Walmart does not ask to see your receipt when you're exiting the store. I had gotten into the habit to making sure to keep my receipt out so that it's readily available when I am leaving, but had never been asked for it. Until ... this particular visit on the afternoon of Monday, February 20, 2024. I came in for a quick grocery shopping trip. I grabbed what I needed, then I went to the self-checkout - not at the registers grouped at the end, but the other ones. Once done, I grabbed my receipt and proceeded to make my way out of the store. Several steps away from the self-checkout registers, a worker (tall Asian male) rushed over and asked for my receipt so I showed it to him, then I asked him "are you checking everyone's receipts?" He said "yes." So I pointed to another lady leaving the self-checkout and told him "you didn't ask that lady" at which point he then turned to her and asked for her receipt. I don't know what kind of profiling is going on here, but I will edit this review if I return to this location and am not asked for a receipt. I don't mind showing my receipt IF everyone is asked for a receipt, but to be singled out is a whole different matter. Other than that, this Walmart location is not bad and I don't mind shopping here. read more

I have been doing Walmart pickup for a few months now and am glad they offer it! The app is easy to use. It suggests items you've bought in the past which makes shopping a little easier, they offer substitutions and let you opt out of them if they aren't not going to work, they even give you the option to do a bag less pickup and I'm glad because those plastic bags can really add up. The wait times have been pretty low and the employees have all been friendly. read more

Dropped in this Walmart for a few items and to browse. In the sporting goods section they had very little choices for shooting targets. So pretty much a wasted trip. I did grab a few items I needed for the kitchen. In the toiletry section it was impossible to look at any of the items in two rows because the stock persons had carts blocking the aisles. There were four of the ladies in one area all chatting so you could not get around. The next row over it was the same thing so I decided not to buy what I needed and get it another time. Walmart wants everyone to self-check. They all seem to only have one cashier and a long line. So off to quick check we went with our four items. If I had a cart load I would have left because its is not easy to check produce at the self-check. Okay so we bought four items today and one was a pack of drinking water. We stuffed the receipt in the bag since we were done. And I could not believe when their was a lady at the door checking receipts like they do at the membership clubs. She was looking at each persons items one by one. When you do that now you have a backlog at the exit. We had four items, it was slow at the self-check so the lady there was right near us and now we are checked at the door. You could plainly see them items we had as the six pack of water was not in a bag and the other items were visible. I usually shop at the store off Damonte and they never check receipts so maybe this store has problems with inventory control. Nice clean store and seemed to be organized. read more

Tried my 1st Walmart on line order for pickup last night. Got a text saying order was ready. So far, so good! Went to Walmart to pick it up. Parked in the order pickup lot. Called the number listed on the sign. Four calls went to a voicemail box that was "full." Walmart answered on the 5th call and said the my order would be right out. Waited over 30 minutes in the pickup lot and my order still didn't show up. And this was on a Monday morning! I tried to go inside and pick up the order myself BUT the door was locked. I called and spoke to "John" who was one of the managers. He couldn't tell me when my order will be brought to my car. When I said I wanted to cancel my order, he said I couldn't. He also said I couldn't go inside and pick up my order. I left and will call my credit card to cancel the order. I Will NEVER return. Take my tip. Use Target. Your order is brought to your car in about 3 minutes!!! Target rocks. Walmart fails! Miserably. read more

A 3 Star for my beloved store that I visit 1-4 times per week? If I am being fair then yes. The Good: Prices, location, carts, convenience and self checkout are all beacons of success for this location. The Bad: The Pharmacist, incorrect prices, disheveled shelves at all times of the day in certain departments, and too many out of stocks on weekends. The Dicey: Restrooms can be disgusting, the staff is inconsistent since some are helpful and some are borderline rude. This is my experience with this store location. Walmart has now taken the approach of many cattle ranchers and moves people through the store like cattle. They're blocked off access to all entrances and exits except for one. Instead of spreading people out through different exits they've congregated everybody into one funnel point. I tried to find an Adirondack chair in the gardening section and parked by the gardening area. I had to walk all the way across the store then all the way back after realizing they didn't have any chairs in stock. I broke the rules and left though emergency exit. I am far from a lazy and never mind a good walk but this is just ridiculous. read more

Used their pharmacy to fill a new pain med prescription from a local Dr. First, they DON'T honor Tricare for life insurance. So despite how many years of military service, you are treated as uninsured. Second, they have a policy of only filling a 7 day supply of pain meds...NO MATTER what your Dr ordered. In other words, you will be treated as an uninsured, probable addict. I took the 7 day supply, paid full price with no insurance and rationed my meds. I got 5 hours of pain relief out of every 24 hrs. A poor quality of life this past month thanks to WALMART. I'm not going to refill my prescription here. Since learned that CVS and WALGREENS will honor my insurance and MAY not have an insulting policy limiting pain meds...as though they know more than your Dr. read more

This Walmart is a DANGER to elderly shoppers, and the employees have no compassion, for an injured elderly person. But if top management treats its employees as they treated my mother and I, I can see why working at Walmart would make the employees completely oblivious and uncaring to anything around them. No STARS for the lack of empathy and compassion when my 82 year old mother tripped on their newly polished floor and fell head first cutting herself, hitting her head, elbow and hip. A customer helped me help her up, my mom was in tears not understanding why she had fell and was in pain. Which was very obvious when the store manager walked back to the scene of the incident by the amount of floor polish that had not been buffed out properly under the sweater rack causing a tripping hazard. My mom's wrist was bleeding and I asked the closest employee if she could help us and get a towel or bandaid. She rolled her eyes, and then proceeded to receiving where she disappeared for quite a few minutes where I waited until other employees looked annoyed that I was standing there and asked me if I needed something. I told them my mom had fell and I had asked for a bandaid and towel to stop the bleeding. Again, no empathy. I finally asked to speak to a manager. How hard is it to find a first aid kit in Walmart?!!! The manager came out. I told him I needed a bandaid and at this point I want to make a report as well. He then disappeared for quite a few minutes. Walmart How do you not have a first aid kit readily available in receiving?!!!! My mother continued her shopping because we were in a time crunch so that I could catch a flight. I asked 2 associates hanging out by the vacuums to please unlock the cabinet so we could buy a vacuum, employee seemed annoyed that I needed help. I also told her I needed a bandaid that the store manager had disappeared when he was trying to get me one. Finally got a band aid, an ice pack and took a report. I was asked if I have a lawyer? NO I don't have a lawyer! What kind of question is that m?!!! My mother is injured, no I don't have a lawyer on speed dial!!! The next morning Walmarts lawyer contacts me and tells me "he has video footage of my mom tripping over my foot, and that I might I not know it happened though because my back was turned to her" how is that even possible? I was at least 5 feet away from my mom when I heard a thud and looked back to see her laying in the floor. I ask to see the video, and he refused to send it to me, telling me he would be mailing me that the case was closed. Why won't you show me the video if it's NOT YOUR FAULT? Walmart does not care about its employees, or its customers plain and simple. And your lawyer is a typical prick. I will never shop at Walmart again and make sure they the 1000's of dollars I spend for my 2 businesses and family go anywhere else, and I will make sure this is shared with every one I know. This store shouldn't even get a star. The parking lot looks like a trash can with garbage everywhere, including discarded food. That has to be a health hazard! They can't stock the store for some reason...they generally have little product on the shelves, etc. This store is busy no matter what time of day or night you go. You would think the store manager could actually do his job. A lot of employees hiding in corners, NOT doing their job. No Angel Tree for seniors or children so far in 2023. Just ridiculous. So we don't usually go to this Walmart, but we're close by and needed a specialty item. We went up to the counter and clicked the button to call an attendant over. After a few minutes we hit it a few more times. There were several employees who walked by and made eye contact and didn't offer to help or stop. It's just trash service. We went to our normal Walmart up north near Lemmon valley to get the same specialty item because no one helped us and it was a completely different experience. They were helpful and kind and I can tell that the employees up north are nicer and are trained better. read more

Worst grocery pickup experience ever. 3 times now in the last 2 months, I have placed an order online, selected an available time and then had the order be delayed up to 24 hours. Absolutely no excuse for this. Don't offer the pickup times if you do not have staff available to fulfill the order. The store will do nothing to help and make you call the 800# that outsources to India. Because they preauthorize your card, it can be up to 48 hours before the hold comes off. Again, the store will do nothing to help you. I would rather pay more to get my order on time than deal with this place. Don't bother asking for the grocery pickup manager either. This woman has the worst customer service attitude I have ever had the misfortune to encounter. Save yourself the hassle and patronize a different establishment. You will thank me! read more

If you're not white don't come here. I've never experienced racial profiling in my life until I walked into this store. From the beginning, the worker standing by the door eyed me, then just about every aisle I'm down just so happened to have one of the two same workers? I wish I was exaggerating truly. I didn't even take notice to it until my friend pointed it out. Then comes check out. My friend (she is white) checks out first, the one worker at the stand here stays on his phone just casually not caring about anyone ringing up. She does her thing, then it's my turn. Immediately the worker switches position to coincidentally be right next to my scanner and watches every single item from start to finish scan. I felt belittled and disgusted by these employees. Thankfully this trip ended rather nicely when a black woman working here sympathized and understood my frustration. Thank you to her, I hope her thanksgiving goes beautifully.
