I don't know how much of the fiasco is this location's fault and how much is the corporate system's fault. I do know that it took 4 days and multiple communications with my 2 doctors and the pharmacy to get a refill on my prescription that has been on file with CVS since 2014. There is no excuse for requesting the refill from the wrong doctor or having a phone number on file that hasn't been used in over 12 years or giving me instructions that I followed that were wrong. Finally, there is no reason for my doctor to have had to submit the new Rx via fax 3 times before they finally got it, I haven't decided whether or not to change pharmacies only because,as I said at the start of this review, I don't know who is to blame. I do know we all have to be careful with our prescriptions no matter what pharmacy we use. One last note...despite being told that I would start receiving text messages from CVS regarding the status of my prescriptions I did not receive any notification. read more

I dropped by CVS Pharmacy yesterday to do an exchange on some purchases. When I arrived in the store there was only one other person in queue and as I waited a couple more customers lined up behind me; other than that, the store wasn't too crowded on a Friday afternoon. When I stepped to the cashier, Rochelle, she patiently listened to my request and earnestly accommodated. The transaction was quick and pleasant even though she was handling both the manual and self-check out sections. Overall, our interaction was positive and professional. read more

Plumb Lane Reno Pharmacist is rude, sad, depressing and grossly UNPROFESSIONAL His name starts with a R. I was told my prescriptions could no longer be filled at this pharmacy, because He couldn't accept criticism. How and I suppose to know he's a pharmacist if they don't tell you when you are in the drive thru. After he told me this he, "handed" the bag to me but kept a firm grip when I tried to get it. Because of his the bag ripped and my prescription fell to the ground. This is the 3rd time getting prescriptions from this person and 1) never identified himself as a pharmacist. 2) gave no information on the NEW prescription 3 different times. Other pharmacist asked questions he did not. From what I understand it a "LAW" I understand CVS Corporate DOES NOT CARE ABOUT CUSTOMER SERVICE, but when a person tries to antagonizes someone they should be disciplined. Especially when he didn't care when I told him I was going to report him. "Go ahead" like he didn't care. read more

Stopped by for a vaccine. Support staff was very kind, but the gentleman that gave me my vaccine was not. Made me feel like I inconvenienced him. Said about 2 words to me and didn't even apply the bandaid fully. Maybe he's having a bad day, but being kind is free. Might even turn his day around. CVS pharmacy has some problems. I have 2 medications I have to get refilled monthly. I have to see the doctor monthly and he has to send over a prescription each month. If my appointment with my doctor is a day or two less than thirty days and he sends the prescriptions over. Then the cvs pharmacy says they can not fill the perception yet because it has only been 29 days. I am not supposed to miss this medication. I can't get a person on the phone the next day. The computer system doesn't give me that option. Just that they will call me back. They never call me back . A couple days later I have to make a special trip to cvs to try and get my meds. They tell me that day that they can't fill it because they are out of it. Have to order it. Three days now without my medicine. They say they will have in 3 more days. I make another trip to CVS 3 days later and pick up my medicine. 5 or 6 days now without my medicine. Don't miss a dose the manufacturer says or it can cause side effects. Meanwhile the cvs pharmacy is refilling prescriptions I don't need and marked as DO NOT REFILL. I have cvs fill several prescriptions each month I have to have them put back. But yet the one I need that they received a day or early can not get filled. The month of November 2025 I couldn't rech them on the phone and it got so frustrating I just skipped getting my prescription for that month. Finally a clean store. The old Shopper's Square is undergoing a huge remodel 2020-2021. Many stores have left and new ones are coming. And this CVS has finally got the opportunity to clean up. It has moved from the middle of the mall to the north end. Creating a drive through for the pharmacy and direct entrance from the parking lot. Entering is totally hands free with electronic doors. The store is very clean, brightly lit, and well organized. It's about 1/3 smaller than the old store, but the busy pharmacy is four times larger. Large overhead signs label each aisle for shopping. In the pharmacy area there are chairs for extended waiting. Signs to point out covid window, pick up window and prescription drop off window. The consultant area is now it's own small private room. Pharmacy staff is still very busy. And when script was called that particular male staffer was a bit rude. But when I picked up the gal I encountered was nice, polite and efficient. Plenty of parking lot spaces right out the front door. I hope this new upgrade and cleanliness lasts. The old store has me receiving most of my scripts by mail- which is free by the way. read more

This might have been the worst experience at a pharmacy I have had in my life I went in on 9/08/25 during the night and this elderly lady started to help because you need to be 18 to buy it and when I gave her my license I was born in 2007 but I was born in the month of April and this lady was enter my birthday as 09/09/2007 which makes no sense and she keep trying to enter my birthday as a wrong date because her words it doesn't matter. So i left yelling which I shouldn't have had but I hope they teach this lady math and she shouldn't be able to work in a place like this. I happily took myself to Walgreens. read more

This Pharmacy did not understand how drug coverage works. This particular store is nowhere near me. They were, however, the only CVS that had the medicine I needed. They had only half of the prescription and charged me full price ( which is correct) then they told me they would be charging me another $95 when the other 2 came in.??? First impression was horrible. Called the store and explained why I was calling before giving my name and birthday and the lady said in the most condescending tone "thanks for all that information, can I know who I'm speaking with first?" I was shocked but continued the call, only for her to let out a deep sigh when I said I had another question. Like are you kidding me? I feel that way at work too sometimes but I certainly don't sigh at my patients/clients. She said three of my medications weren't sent in, so I called my old CVS who confirmed that this store had them and that "she must be new or something" . I went to pick up the scripts that she said she didn't have and the other lady who met me at the cashier was not in better spirits. I confirmed that one of my scripts needed a Drs approval (let's call it med A), and she said yes that it did. That's fine, it happens. But when I asked when it would be ready she kinda stared at me and didn't say anything. So I offered the explanation that it'll probably be ready when the dr sends the fax over, right? And she agreed. At the end of the transaction I asked which three meds she had filled just now, wanting to confirm which ones I was picking up (I take 5+) and she couldn't tell me which meds she just put in my bag... I asked if it was med A and she said yes. "It was med A B and C" I was happy they could fill med A without the fax from the Dr as previously described, only to get to my car and find out it was a different med. so I was disappointed to say the least... anyways my point being these people are so careless and don't know what the hell they're doing obviously. I'm going to try to pick up med A now after calling my dr earlier today, we will see how it goes... oh and by the way, the entire store reeked of marijuana... real professional lol read more

Hands down the worst customer service experience that I have had in years. Vanessa who works in the pharmacy is rude and condescending. She would not apply a coupon rolled her eyes and went off. I said "wow bitch" and she tried to have the pharmacist come over and tell me I'm not allowed back. The pharmacist was able to apply the coupon which took my cost from 250. To 30. I called corporate and they said I was allowed back in after she told me I could not get my scripts there. Oh and the kicker while I was waiting for my script she kept walking by and talking to me to try to taunt me but she failed. Don't give energy that you can't take the same energy back. read more

I was about to update my review and commend this branch for finally getting it together - they hired more people, some of which don't hate their jobs, and they started observing normal business hours, including opening the GD drive thru. What a concept. Such novelty. However, this pharmacy will fill your prescriptions on their time, not yours. I submitted three orders for the same prescriptions because they just wouldn't fill them or answer the phone. I decided to walk in against my better judgement to ascertain what the issue was and I should've just stayed in the long drive thru line. The woman at the counter was overwhelmed, legitimately inept at every job function, and cannot communicate to save her life. She said that they had been "backed up" for the past 2 days and asked if I had called. Yes, I've called and they don't pick up. She said "We answer our phones" and left, I assumed to go get my prescriptions. I left after waiting for 5 minutes at the counter for my prescriptions only to have her tell me that she had no register to help me with my prepaid pickup - she didn't need a register and I didn't need to lose it that day. So I came back the next day, hoping that that was my day to finally pick up and it wasn't - there was a CVS semi truck in the drive thru line, no joke, as if in line to pick up a prescription at the window, cars queued up behind it... you've got to be kidding me. I went home hoping third time would be the charm because I'm absolutely not going inside again. So here I sit in the drive thru for another attempt at picking up the prescriptions I submitted 3 times online, once in person, and I've been here for about 45 minutes. I cannot fathom how erroneously this place is run - again, you work in healthcare, which is not even remotely an elective or luxury industry, so get it together for the love of all things holy and pure. read more

This poor business - I feel for them. First they decide to tear the entire building down around them! Then covid hits! Yet, here they are still standing, still fighting the good fight in the middle of a pandemic and a construction site. Builders keep changing the parking lot, and closing entrances....so be careful trying to get in there. The employees are always super friendly, they wear masks, they help people looking for things. Me in particular, during the 2020 toilet paper shortage (no joke) I went in and they had TP, but my brand was still in a box, and I asked if the stocker would open the box for me, and she did, and I'm sure she was as sick of people asking for TP as we were of asking for it!!! So please support a business that is taking hits left and right. It's worth abit of inconvenience for good service! read more

This has been a pharmacy that I've used for years.There was a location in my old neighborhood in the Bay Area. There are a couple in Reno which is nice. I was cracking up today at the slot machines near the entrance! This location has a lot of bare shelves, it didn't even have the products I was looking for, it's strange. I don't understand why it's so different than other locations... I would recommend the other locations over this one just for the lack of merch. read more

The pharmacy staff is extremely rude for no apparent reason. Even mid-day while not visibly busy with customers . I was patient and polite despite their attitude having worked in retail myself I understand the work can be stressful and frustrating at times but they seem to absolutely be in the wrong line of work . This CVS has terrible reviews but I'm glad I gave them a chance. The store is under construction and seems to be in a mall so the entrance is a little confusing but the staff in the pharmacy were nice and professional. I dropped my prescription off, they said it would take an hour so I ran some other errands, came back and it was ready no problem. The lines for both drop off and pick up went fast, much shorter wait than my CA CVS. I'm happy with them and will continue changing my prescriptions to this Reno location. read more

I ran to CVS and I forgot the gentleman's name but he walked me directly to the diapers and gave me a quick breakdown of the different types they have, found the size for me then walked me to the register so I could be checked out. I dunno much about the store cause I didn't have an opportunity to eat anything, mainly went in because I was at cold stone and had to use the bathroom and there wasn't a bathroom there, but the CVS had bathrooms that weren't open to the public. Every other CVS has bathrooms open to the public which makes no sense. I asked if it was possible to use it and I was given rude remarks by the pharmacists such as "do you REALLY have to go?" (said in a snarky attitude). One of the employees allowed me in (thank god), but when I said "thank you, sir" they were like "yeah whatever". Not very happy with that. Very rude and I find it stupid that the bathrooms are for employees only. Not only that, but some info is outdated that I saw while making a review "Employees wear mask" none of the employees wore masks. Not happy :/ read more

I'm a girl who doesn't like shoe shopping. I actually don't like any type of shopping, except maybe shopping for veggies. I love that. But everything else to me seems like a waste of time and money. My husband bought me a cute pair of sandals after we met in 2010, which broke while we were at Lake Comanche a couple weekends ago. I realized they were my only pair, so I showed up in super hot Reno with no sandals, but every intention of going to the pool! Thank goodness for CVS! It was morning time and the store had just opened. I bought two pairs of sandals (about $15 each - buy one get one half off). I also picked up some mascara, since I either lost or misplaced all of my makeup (not horrible since I don't wear much). The mascara came with eyeliner - bonus! ($12.99) I grabbed a couple of sodas and snacks. Most importantly, I bought a bottle of Aleve gels for my husband. Too many Crown Royale on the rocks the night before... and I needed him to be ready for a day of fun!! My entire purchase was about $50. 8 hours later.... Our group of three returned to CVS several hours later. We bought a box of Angry Orchard ciders and took them back to our hotel to enjoy. Both visits I received friendly service and I was happy with the prices. I do dislike having to use a club card for discounts. Just another reason I don't like shopping. But glad that this CVS was large and well-organized and I was in and out very quickly. read more

Ok, I waited A loooong time for my stuff. I did have like 6 rxs with issues that required calling the doc and when they were out of one of the meds. But the young male pharmacist was rad. He helped get me a coupon, called my doctor, helped get me A substitute for the out of stock med. It's a busy location and they had great service outside of just having to wait. read more

Decent pharmacy with a lot of different goods at okay prices. They have a customer appreciation card that makes it easy to get coupons all week long. It's actually the only place that has Tom's of Maine toothpaste within walking distance. Easy to get a flu shot here. Great card selection. A lot of baby items, especially diapers and formula. Friendly staff. The thing I like the most about this place is the proximity to my house and the convenience. They get a lot of points for that. read more

Ok last year was a crappy year for me medically speaking. I had accidents, illnesses, you name it, and it happened to me. When I (actually being sober) fell down my stairs in my house ended up on crutches. Of course the medical supply store was closed so Pootchie and I drove ALL over Reno to every Wal Mart, Walgreens and CVS at midnight looking for a pair of crutches and THIS CVS was the ONLY store in all of Reno that had crutches for my height! I'm 5'6 which apparently is the most popular height of people who break their legs because they had plenty of crutches for people shorter or taller but none for me. So this CVS became my favorite place just because it meant I didnt have to hop around like a lunatic. read more
