Great place to get snacks and gas bathrooms are clean and workers are friendly and helpful

I like the Maverick brand and have been coming to this store since it opened. Lately it has been a dirty disaster with sub par service. Today the cashier literally stopped helping a line of 8 people and just stood there texting and ignoring everyone. I hope the get it together soon. read more

I like going to this maverik. The inside is well organized with tons of options ranging from warm burritos to candy and drinks. I love how the gas is usually priced fair compared to other local gas stations. They have tons of pumps and options of diesel, premium or regular. read more

A group of the most stupid people I ever saw in one business. There were at least 6 of them there. Around 2 this afternoon. I asked a question. Very easy a toddler could answer. But they all look at me one guy even walked away. A girl said she forgot to clock in, the 3rd guy told me to remove my card from the machine, the 4th guy said put it back In. Another girl tried but failed to reset the key pad. I had to go to another registrar, and then they charge me more then the first person. SERIOUSLY! 10 minutes later i walk out empty handed. On the other had I find it very nice that they are babysitting children at this location. And paying them to not know what they are doing. Way to go Mavericks. Employing children! read more

We have been to MANY Maverik stations because of the cleanliness, coffee and above all, customer service. The fact that we happen to move close to the worst Makerik station is an absolute travesty. On Multiple occasions, both my partner and I have gone in around 0600 to get morning coffee and fill up only to be disappointed by coffee machines needing attention with a nearby attendant who couldn't care any less. In addition to unavailable machines and worthless attendants, the place is a mess. We REALLY hope this Maverik will begin to follow SOPs and work ethic of other stations, until then, we will gladly stop at McDonalds. read more

The Maverick on keystone and 4th in Reno Nevada is the worst one in the northern Nevada area I use them all across the state and I can't believe how Maverick accepts this place it's dirty the pumps are broken and falling apart the workers are impolite and rude wouldn't trust the food so surprised that it can operate this way. I'm on a road trip with my boyfriend from Juneau to Florida. We stopped here so I could use the restroom and it's important to note that I had to go number two. We are middle class and don't do drugs, but I am wearing sweatpants and a distressed Carhartt jacket. I used the handicap stall because the smaller stalls were so close to the toilet that I couldn't fit (at least not comfortably, I'm a little overweight). Since I was going #2, I brought my phone and scrolled for a little while (as one does). A worker came in and loudly stated, "Ma'am you've been in here way too long I'm gonna have to ask you to leave." Confused, I asked, "Me?" As she walked back out I heard her say, "Yeah." I finished my business and walked out after washing my hands. I guess wearing no makeup and a fashionable grunge jacket at 33 makes me look like I'm up to no good. I assume she thought I was doing drugs because we had problems with that when I worked retail. So I understand, but it made me sad and so anxious. I get why people hate feeling profiled when they're perfectly innocent. I wish I knew which worker it was, I would have given her a piece of my mind. read more

I came for coffee and they were out of most sizes cups as well as the creams. The counter person jumped right on it and filled the cup dispenser so I could get coffee. Then she had to fill the 1/2 and 1/2 as well as all the flavored creams. After I made my coffee, I always add the caffeine shots (Stōk) and the container was also empty. Again the counter person grabbed some right away. I took a drink of coffee and it was warm at most. I had to put it I. The microwave for 1 minute ( two times 30 secs). Made me wonder if the issue of no cups, no cream, no Stōk and warm coffee was negligence rather than busy. There were 2 cashiers, a person stocking and 2 people in the grill area with no customers. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The personnel alone would make this 5 star. However... I ordered 3 tacos for $5 and was abit disappointed. The girl said she had an order ahead of me and so I sat at the tables drinking my coffee while waiting. After about 10 min I went to the counter to ask about the tacos and they we sitting there while the girl was on the phone. She didn't call out or tell me. Then the tacos had about 1/3 the meat of any other Mavericks I've tried. I went back to the counter and asked and was informed that the meat was pre-measured. That it was the correct amount. I still love Mavericks, but will continue to go to the other ones. No coffee cups, no cream, no caffeine shots and very little meat on tacos... But again, very friendly and helpful. read more

Stopped for coffee at an outrageously early time of day, walked into a store smelling of sweet warm cinnamon and fresh brewed coffee. The lady working the counter couldn't have been sweeter. Restrooms were shiny clean. Everything else was fairly standard as far as Maverick's go. read more

Worst customer service ever. Went in (3 of us) to grab some coffee and breakfast food. One person in our party wanted to use the restroom prior to selecting our purchases. There were probably 8-10 people in line, the lady behind the counter loudly began shouting, "Make one line! One line only!" She was incredibly off-putting and rude. My sister asked if we had to wait in line to get permission to use the restroom, her retort was a rude and emphatic "Yes!" We promptly left and vowed to never frequent their establishment. In our town of approximately 45 miles away, there is no elementary request for restroom permission and no screaming checkers. read more

I like this place, probably the coolest gas station I've ever been to. Never seen one with a food court inside it. I'll admit I've never tried the food, but it looks good in passing. One of these days, I'll give it a go. I like thier beer selection, they have every kind of drink known to man and the service is pretty good. I also like that they make no exceptions with the mask policy right now. They're required and I've witnessed them making people leave while not wearing one. Haven't been to a Maverik in awhile. Today I felt like having a hot drink and they've always had a decent selection. I elected to buy coffee. Much to my surprise, they are no longer brewing pots of coffee. There is now a coffee machine with beans on the top. Choose your size and your preferred bean. Sadly, this coffee is like all coffee dispensed from a machine like this -- TERRIBLE. The flavor is awful. The taste is burnt. When I saw the set up, I knew I was probably going to get crap coffee. Unfortunately I was right. I will not be visiting Maverik anymore for coffee. Very sad to say that because their coffee used to be really great. read more

First time at this location and I came in before heading out for a 3-day camping! We needed firewood, ice, and water. I was rushing to go inside to grab all the items because it was 90 degrees outside and our pup is in the car! Without even asking, the store clerk helped me with the bag of ice and even handed me the firewood to my car when I was trying get the gallons of water in the trunk quickly!!! She even said hi to the pup :) Overall, I spent no more than 3 minutes inside the store and I was back in the car to attend to our pup! Excellent customer service!! read more

The management at this particular maverick are quite possibly the dumbest people on the planet, ( besides Biden of course) Today we decided to stop and get lunch at your location my transaction was being paid with ebt and the remainder debit. We swiped ebt and then swiped debit.I unfortunately didn't have enough on one card to cover the $8 for 2 hotdogs( ridiculous price) so we swiped another card.. that card had more than enough funds available to cover it . But the system said insufficient funds. The cashier had us keep trying so we literally swiped 8 cards by the time the cashier says. "It's marking your purchase as fraud. Wtf? So we asked if she could cancel the transaction and start over, she said it didn't matter what we bought that we were marked as fraud?? Then the store manager pops over and we asked h the same thing, can't you just cancel and start over? He replied " I will help you if you go to the end of the line but it will probably mark you as fraud again, me " so just my stuff is fraud"? Him, " yes" me, " so how does it know it's me? ". I didn't get a reply but I think I should sue for prejudice, assuming I'm homeless because I used food stamps. ? I work nights asshole! We waited Our turn! This is a brand new Maverik Gas Station. I really like all the food products that are offered inside. There is a place to order fresh made breakfast and lunch items, drink machines for soda, coffee and slushees. I love this Maverik. Their gas pumps are always working proper with receipts very customer service person is pleasant to talk to and enthusiastic about their jobs. A rarity indeed. It's immaculately clean. Terrific restrooms. They have consistently fresh food and a nice little grill. They even have an outdoor pic nick area. On todays visit to Maverick, (which is always an adventure) the checkout clerk was too busy sucking nacho cheese sauce off of her fingers before she could even bother ringing me up. She had her huge paper pan of nacho chips and bottle of coke sitting in front of the computer and was muttering something about the previous customer. I had to ask her what she was saying as I thought it might have been directed to me, and I wanted to make sure I was hearing her. She said she was talking to herself. I almost asked her if she hated her job. I do have a few questions. Does Maverick not allow meal breaks away from the work station? Should that open bottle of coke be allowed in front of the computer where it could be tipped over and get sticky coke all over? If you are that hungry, and your boss does not allow meal breaks might I suggest you take a bathroom break and have a granola bar or a string cheese, or take your cheesy chips in there. Walking up to the counter and watching you suck your fingers instead of using a napkin was pretty disgusting. I feel sorry for the next clerk that has to use that computer. read more

I went into this Maverick late on a Tuesday evening. There was a long line for it being so late, so it is likely that the employees were overtired and spread thin. I told the man at the counter that I'd like "$9.69 on [pump] number four." He asked me to repeat myself and I said, "Yep, number four" and held up four fingers. The pump didn't work and I went back in a few minutes later and the man behind the counter said "You said 9 right?" The Maverick employee not only gave my gas to someone else, but he then argued with me, saying that I gave him the wrong number--I am very sure that I said number four. Rather than return my money, he yelled at the man who was filling up on the 9th pump and made the other patron put gas in my tank. I tried to tell the Maverick employee that it wasn't the other man's fault; the other man even stated that he didn't believe that he'd received the gas I'd paid for, it was probably the patron before him. Usually, I have really good luck at Mavericks. I won't return to this one for gasoline, but I probably will for snacks! read more

Came in tonight from a various different "gas station" choices around (Chevron, 7/11, Arco) specifically because my expectation of service and experiences at Maverick are very high! However I was very disappointed with how I, as a guest in the store was treated. After waiting 5 or so minutes In line I began to realize that the cashier (and older hispanic gentleman) was having trouble finishing the transaction. Even though a lot of time has passed and I was only getting gas, I would consider myself very patient and did not say anything. I thought I was going be helped out by the gentleman, instead he called over this girl that I assumed to be the supervisor. She was snappy with the guests and had an overall stank attitude. She helped 1 guest in line and then completely ignored the rest of the line! Her attitude quickly changed when her friend came in and decided he needed change! Instead of getting in line like everyone else, AND instead of using common sense and ringing up the guests that have been waiting, she helps her buddy and continues to converse. This is when I walked over and asked her pretty nicely "Can I pay for gas here?" She quickly says, "maybe, can you not be rude about it?" I was in SHOCK. Not only was she just having a personal conversation, but I also calmly explained that I had been waiting for 15 minutes. I didn't get a reply, only a grin and a sassy repeat of her counting my money. Not only was I displeased to see that she was a Lead, but her actions in that position are completely unacceptable. I wasn't able to catch her name as she was very cold with 0 customer service. However her description is messy brown hair, glasses, was wearing a striped, teal beanie. Been coming into this store for months. New to area. Recently a few of the new college age kids that work at register have had attitudes like most millennials. Horrible customer service. As a business owner myself I would never have anything like what I dealt with this eve. Worst part is his supervisor next to him did not reprimanded employee in front of me when I asked him if he was his supervisor he replied one of them. A obvious homeless man was making a purchase with $100 Bill this eve and taking time to explain how he wanted change. Think he was drunk. Smelled like liquor. Teller kid was not understanding at first then got it and after another min homeless guy was on way. I said must have been his first 100. Teller kid then says " you don't need to judge mental ". Should have said nothing. I then responded no it's my opinion and he said no it's a judgment. He then wanted to argue about me having a opinion ??? You hire kids like this. Then he asked me to keep it down ?? Huh??? I never lost my composure the millennial just did not like me countering his childish judgment. I'm sure the roll of dough he sees on me and my benz I pull up in intimidate the millennial so he wants to pick a fight ?? NO MORE VISITS FROM ME. By by. Lots of other places in area to go. I generally don't like posting or speaking negative towards biz being a owner myself and knowing the types some deal with. If I could give negative stars for this location and staff I would, which is a shame because I have always had great interactions at all other Maverik service stations. While I was inside paying for my gas and chips, around 3:30 am on September 21, 2019, my purse was stolen out of my vehicle which was parked at pump 1. Worse than that, the reaction and LACK of help that I got from the "lead", a young brunette was horrible!!! After about half an hour of her walking around with the phone and whispering to the other clerk (I assume was a clerk, older gentleman with a Maverik shirt on), and only after I pressed her for a response of some kind, she blew me off telling me that the police would not come down without a suspect and the cameras could not be looked at without a police request. So, .... When asked for the address, I got 4th and Keystone. No, she would not give me her name(Vanessa) and there was nothing else she could do. As she walked away .... AGAIN. read more
