2nd time in a row I have come to fill up here and the window wash bucket was bone dry. There are certain conveniences I expect out of a Maverick gas station, fluid to wash windshield, mostly clean restrooms, and ample grab and go food choices. I don't know how many times I have stopped her in the last year looking for a "bundle" breakfast sandwich and more than 1/2 the time they were out.

Steak burrito but they only put 2 small pieces of steak in the whole burrito the last few times I had it

Maverick used to be my favorite place to get my breakfast burritos on my way to work for the past two months they literally only put 1 to 3 little slivers of meat in a raise the price a extra dollar It is now all egg no cheese no meat steak burrito

It is rare for me to review gas stations, but the Maverik on South Meadows in Reno deserves special mention. This new station is located just east of Interstate 580 on South Meadows with easy access and lots of parking for a gas station. I was interested to try their Ethanol Free Clear Gasoline. It is about 40 cents more per gallon than regular E10 gasoline likely due to tax credits, but the pure gasoline has about 4% more energy than E10 anyway. It's hard to figure if it's better in my Prius, but it's fun to try! The real star here is the convenience store. Maverik has evolved into a real destination much like Quik Trip and others across the country. Their food and drink options are extensive in their bright and clean stores. If you can't find it here, you're not looking hard enough. It would be great if they had Top Tier Gas, but Maverik is a clean and fun addition to the normally boring world of gas stations.

As always, Maverik has great fuel prices and the large islands make it easy to pull a large vehicle through the lot.

The people that work here are still amazingly friendly despite the riff raff and drama they have to watch. The prices are about 10% higher than most stores like it but they are open 24/7 and sustain a lot more theft. So, as a matter of convenience and selection, I like this place. I like it even more when there is not police vs. street people drama unfolding in the area. (not Fireside's fault)

Beer and liquor are the main things here. They have groceries like cereal, produce, and snacks too. It doesn't seem like much is interesting about it. Just a regular convenience store but it's locally owned. The owners are foreign but there's usually not too much trouble understanding. Has all kinds of liquors. They have high quality and the cheap stuff. Get a flask sized bottle to save on those expensive casino cocktails. These are convenient for discretely pouring into pop. Also get your junk food binge on. They have some good prices on crap like candy and snacks. Also it's not just a store but there's an inn. It's attached and it seems check in and check out is done in the store. The inn looks even sketchier than the store so you're sure to have an interesting time if you choose to stay there.

I said "Slurpee" (there is a nominal difference in price) Between the two. I paid for the Slurpee and the food. I filled up the cup and the clerk came up and said I paid for a fountain drink and not a Slurpee, I corrected him and he called me a liar. I agreed to pay the difference and was going back to the register and he was mumbling something to me and I called him out on it there was a verbal exchange that was escalating, fortunately it could've been worse. I didn't yell any racial slurs at him (although he deserved it) So hear it is and it's such a cliche typically people from the middle East are rude in nature. It's not an opinion IT IS A FACT!! This guy was aggressive and rude! Mostly people like him are just rude and I can tolerate that from other 7-11 operators this guy was way worse. I'm boycotting all 7-11's with these type of people running them. I paid what I asked for a frozen drink and was called a liar. I wasn't aggressive until this a**hole wanted to make it a problem. If you have to lock up the cups genius maybe you need to operate a store elsewhere, WAY ELSEWHERE.

This is one of those half-safe locations that can easily lull you into a state of complacency, but some of the types I see shopping here give me pause. It's located behind a bank building, so I'm careful about where I park, and I tend to look at who is inside the store after dark before I get out of my car. But honestly, what I dislike most are the persistently indifferent cashiers that I believe belong to the Eastern family that owns this place. On more than one occasion I've asked about the location of the lack of specific items I wanted to purchase, only to be answered with a shrug. No long lines, a generally clean store and okay parking, along with a location contrived to be on my route, keeps me coming back here every couple of months despite my complaints. It's as good as many 7/11s, and generally kept well-stocked, but it is a far cry from as good as my favorite 7/11 on Mount Rose -- which I consider to be the premier 7/11 in town (see my review of that one at http://www.yelp.com/biz/7--eleven-reno#hrid:pYLdjI8y3rVrYS8Yzf89pw/src:self) Note: I've knocked off one star for the sketchy location which I think is fair when reviewing a 7/11, and 2 stars for the lack of customer service. PS. How in the world did I manage to review this store before my friend Lakewood G? You're sloughing LG. Get to work. :-)
