The owner of Ruby Shake Shop routinely parks his Audi in the limited public street parking spaces along South Virginia Street directly in front of Raising Cane's, Ike's Love & Sandwiches, and the surrounding businesses. Anyone familiar with this area knows parking can already be difficult, especially during peak hours when people are trying to grab lunch, pick up an order, or make a quick stop. What makes this particularly frustrating is that these spaces appear to be occupied for extended periods of time, often throughout the day, by someone who owns and operates a nearby business. Public street parking in a busy commercial corridor is a shared resource intended to serve customers and visitors, not to function as a personal parking space for a single business owner. This review is not a reflection of the products or service at Ruby Shake Shop. It is simply feedback regarding what appears to be an extremely inconsiderate use of limited public parking in an area where parking availability already impacts customers and neighboring businesses.

The fries were cold, my drink came in a plain plastic cup instead of the classic Sonic cup, and my burger was tossed into a generic box instead of the familiar silver Sonic wrapper. Individually, those might seem like small details. But together, they're the very things that made Sonic feel like Sonic. Branding isn't just a logo it's the memories people attach to it. When you change all the little touches that generations grew up with, you lose part of what made the brand special. Largest order of rings I have ever seen. The burger (1/2 Lb I think!!) had nice thick bacon in every bite, two large and fresh slices of tomato, a big old slab of an onion slice, mayo and lettuce. I can't remember if there were pickles. It was the best burger and onion rings I have eaten in at least ten years, maybe 20. We will be back, EVERY time we are in town from now on. I can't recommend this place enough. Special shout out to David, our server. This guy made no mistakes. Laughed at all my stupid dad jokes, was attentive, patient while my companions changed their minds 36 times, and was friendly too. This location in particular, is pretty convenient when traveling between the northern and southern parts of Reno. It's about halfway between Virginia St and 395, so really easy to access on the main veins. When I visit any location, I usually aim for the self check outs, as I pay with card and don't need the cashier to make change for cash. The self check outs are easy to use and prompts are easy to read and navigate. Consistent with the other locations, the coffee station and the to go hot food (aka delicious burritos) are well stocked in the morning, and less so in the afternoons I've noticed. (Also small gripe with the sausage burrito (my go to) has a new sauce and I personally hate the flavor of it. Just give me the ingredients without any extra sauce.) The added 24/7 hours make it real easy for any hour of travel to stop in and get road trip goodies!
