Shoutout to Costco Optical! I'm already a raving fan of Costco, and today's experience with the optical department reminded me of exactly why on so many levels. First off, pricing. As always, they're the most competitive in the land, and that's just talking about the numbers. Costco was always neck and neck with all online retailers, even when we're talking about their one time promotional prices! For comparison? my previous eye doctor charged and additional $50+ per box over Costco's regular price, which equates to $400 more per year for my lenses. Best of all, you get an additional % cash back on this when you use your Costco credit card! Win win win! Second, service! Costco's employees are the best and offer help wherever they can. Today the optician was super friendly, helped me quickly find my contacts, looked into applying my insurance and happily looked into and identified rebates for me too! Beyond that, she also applied both my insurance and the rebate INSTANTLY, so I only had to pay the difference. AND she shared that Costco's return policy essentially applies to contacts and glasses bought there too, so you can shop with the same comfort and peace of mind you enjoy in the rest of the store! Truly above and beyond, and it is so appreciated. Third, convenience! It's centrally located and we do so much shopping and gas filling there, that there's rarely a time going to Costco is inconvenient! So glad my eye care needs are now under the Costco umbrella. Can't beat the prices at the Costco gas station! Today gas was $3.79 a gallon. All around town it's priced at $4.00 and up. Best deal in town for gas prices. The lineup of cars waiting wasn't too long. Yes, the wait is worth it at least for me. read more

The pumps were is good working condition. The attendants were helpful. The pumps are easy to maneuver. The lines were long except one. I don't understand why people don't move to the next available pump, even if their filler is on the opposite side of the hose. read more

Quality/Quantity - I am a regular loyal customer. And just noticed this Yelp check-in. I will post all my Costco gas pictures here moving forward. Atmosphere - One ways in, one exit. Almost always a bottle neck. Open 7 days a week from 6am to 9:30pm, on Saturdays till 8pm and on Sundays from 7am to 8pm. Bottle neck and limited parking also when visiting the warehouse. We have our "set" parking space/area where there is even less traffic and almost a guaranteed parking spot for us; well not during the current construction. Service - Self service. Price - I do not check, usually a low cost leader. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success at this location since 1988. Congrats on all your success since 1976, since Price Club. Go in the morning when the line is not long. They have multiple pumps so it usually it goes by quickly. Costco gasoline prices are typically the best in town and if you use your Costco credit card, you get four or 5% back I think. Whenever I'm nearby, I always fill up. read more

Showed up at 5:55pm, and attendant was putting up cones. Said they close at 6pm. Website says 10pm. Get it together.

Always the best prices in town, but you have to be a COSTCO member to by gas here. This location is cramped. The wait lines often spill out onto Harvard Way, making it difficult for anyone to do business at other area stores. It can easily take 20 minutes or more before you reach the pumps. This location does not offer diesel fuel. If you're handicapped, you can honk your horn, but the one employee on duty is more often than not, too busy to come help. read more

I almost always go to Costco for my gasoline as the price is better that just about any other location. The gas is apparently high quality. It is self service, but if you need assistance with the service, there is always an attendant on site ready to assist. read more

Costco gasoline is typically 10-20 cents cheaper than other gas stations. You do need to have a membership to buy gas there. There are a few peak times, but some times they are not too busy! Lots of pumps here, which keep the lines moving along nicely read more

Best gas rates around but you must be a member. Only approved credit cards or ATM debit cards. Premium is the best bet. Multiple lanes available and open early and past the closing time of the main store. An attendant is usually available for any help needed. Holy crap! I pull in here at the Reno Costco for gas, and it's OVER 40 cents more expensive than I get at the Costco in Carson City! All I can guess is the Washoe Co. taxes must be waaaay higher! My advice is any Reno people that go to Carson for anything like work or whatever, get gas in Carson! I could see maybe 10 cents more or something , but over 40 cents? That's over $6.00 more to fill an average 15 gal tank! Get the Costco Citi Bank credit card, then you'll get 4% off all gas anywhere, not just at Costco. At $5.00 per gal, that's 20 cents per gal off! Here's another tip: You don't NEED to be a Costco member to get gas here! The trick is , all you need is a Costco gift/shop card that a member you know can buy you, put cash on it and you can use it like a member. Even get gas! or shop in the store. read more

Not enough pumps. The lines were so long, and people were unwilling to use the really LONG hose lines to access their tank. Process in Reno are no better than California. I should have gassed up in Carson City where the prices were $1.20 cheaper per gallon. read more

Costco legit has the best gas prices in general. You can't beat it. Always go here at least once or twice a week. Be warned tho. Lines do get long and sometimes end up in the streets. I recommend going really early or really late if you do not want to wait too long to get gas. read more

Love Costco gas prices. However, I personally avoid this location as much as possible due to the constant, insanely large lines and difficulty getting to the pump you want. Costco gas station...this is the one gas pumping joint in Reno where crime is low or non existent. No drug deals, larcenies, shootings, or shady folk just hanging out watching you pump. This fuel stop is always clean and moving one way. The men who work for Costco on scene are always willing to help and always proactively cleaning up this property. Highly recommend this gas station. These prices currently are the lowest I've ever seen in my lifetime out West. Go get some! read more

I come here weekly, never an issue to find an open spot. Although it bugs me when people pull up to the opposite side of their gas tank, it's reassuring you can still fill up as there is slack to pull the gas tubing across your car! read more

If you use the GasBuddy app then you already know that Costco Gas has the cheapest "good"gas around 99% of the time. By that, I mean that they carry Top Tier gasoline and carry Regular (85 octane) and Premium (91 octane). I've gone to another gas station in town that had the cheapest gas only to find out that it was the way lower 83 octane that no decent gas station will carry. That was the first and last time I ever got gas from there. It seems like the gas evaporated after I filled up. It didn't last me (mileage wise). Spend the extra few cents, your wallet and vehicle will thank you. read more
