Obsessed with the Maverik and their coffee! I wish I had one of these machines at home, I wouldn't buy coffee outside of my home anymore. This machine makes it all. They offer other blends, but I prefer their house blend hot or iced! The other day, I had an iced coffee, and I'm hooked. Their coffee bar has sugar-free syrups, sugar, cream, cinnamon, etc. I will admit I'm a coffee aholic, and if you're a coffee lover like myself, give Maverik a try. They serve food fresh here as well. If I'm in there early enough, I'll grab a breakfast burrito and hot sauce packets. When I'm working, you can usually find me near a Maverik. It's actually been quite a long time since I've been to this Maverik. Kids grown-up, also they no longer have the taco Tuesdays where you used to get a taco for a dollar. They changed the coffee to a system where grinds the beans and makes the coffee fresh, but always seems to turn out muddy lol. They also change the reward system where you cannot get a free pizza after having 10 tacos. Now you can get a free pizza if you order 10 pizzas. Things change, what hasn't changed is the friendliness of the people here. Aaron was the person who took my food order, and she commented that it's been along time since she's seen me in there. That's because of the past I used to come here every single Tuesday and every Friday. I told her kids are gone now, also with the changes in the specials... The quality of the food is still great. The people are friendly. Prices change, I think compared to other places around, $2.99 for this huge fully packed breakfast taco, it's definitely worth stopping here. I wish they served their food a little later. But when I do get there early enough to grab a slice or two of pizza I definitely gab some. Staff is nice when ever I go in. I can't remember his name but Hispanic cook is always super nice and makes some good food. One time even tho he was closing up. Knew we came in starving so turned it all back on and made me and my friends a couple pizza. Now that is guest service. We told him it's no big deal don't worry about making us some food. I love this Maverik. The parking lot is huge, and it's well lit. That area around Glendale at night can seem a little iffy, but I've never hesitated to stop and get a snack and gas here. They often have a private security guard on patrol in the front. In general, Maveriks offer a wide range of food options. This particular Maverik has even more than most: fresh cinnabuns and an extensive made-to-order Mexican food menu as well as the usual hotdogs and hot sandwiches. The beer and liquor section is solid. Wine, not so much, but they've got the basics. The counter staff bring a good vibe: friendly and fast. read more

I love Maverik. They have captured the convenience of a truck stop without all of the drawbacks and odors. The selection, food, freshness, and ease are all top notch. Of course the prices are "convenience" oriented but reasonable compared with the likes of am/pm, Jackson's, or 7/11. The bathrooms are kept clean which is rarely the case at the aforementioned places. There are lots of nice and wide gas bays with competitive prices. There are 3 colors of gas nozzles for your visual pleasure. Footnote: There should be a warning before you enter anywhere with a Cinnabon. I bought a big hot dog geez.. I thought someone would say something to me but they didn't. I put about a quarter pound of salad on there and tomatoes and all kinds of relish even sauerkraut mustard ketchup the whole kitchen sink for about $3.. better than the deal at Costco. Taco Tuesday! One dollar tacos every Tuesday! They have ground beef, chicken, pork, or steak as the meat. For an extra $.50 each you can have sour cream or guacamole . Thanks to Tommy J., I have found my normal place for Tuesdays. Two steak tacos with a flour tortilla, totaling $2.17 is a huge win for me! They have a condiment bar that includes jalapeños, lettuce, salsa, pepperoncini's and some other sauces. You can even use their fake melted cheese squirter thingy if you really want to! Two of these beauties are plenty for me, but I did try three my first time! I don't know about the other Mavericks, but this one has a great steak taco that I will be enjoying every Tuesday! If you're rolling around Reno with a pocket full of cash, this may not be the place for you. If you're on a budget and don't want to spend a lot of money, I highly recommend you try this place! Great to have another Maverik in town - especially since it's closer to my work than any others. This is a standard Maverik - clean bathrooms, great snack options and gas with a few cent discount using your Adventure Card. Access from each of the cross streets is relatively easy and there are a large number of pumps to choose from. It's a gas station with a really complete convenience store. Prices were the deal at one time, but that's since passed. If you have their club card you save 2 cents a gallon on regular. Not much of a benefit when they're raising the prices 15 cents a gallon overnight. Mavrick is always the 1st chain to raise prices if petroleum is in the news for ANY reason. read more

So a cashier named Kyle finds it amusing to see you in his line, wait for a bunch of other customers to line up after you did on a main line (which is not marked so customers know) and then tell you to get the to the back of the line after people who just walked up. He's also super rude. This used to be my go to gas station and the ladies in the deli are super nice but Kyle ruined it for me today. Let me start by saying, the employees here are always friendly and they have a good selection of food with fairly decent prices. Any food I have ordered has been good, for a convenience store. BUT.....on this mornings visit, in 10 minutes, I saw no less than 10 customers with no masks, literally walking in the door not the ones who take it off after they get in. The older man that waited on me was Super Impatient explaining to me that he had already rung up the items on one ticket and did not want to ring them up separately. Walked in to make a purchase, once in the store I was rudely embarrassed and was asked to leave because one of gentlemen behind the counter, said I was caught stealing last time I was in. I just visited the Sparks, NV location on Glendale Avenue. Upon arrival I was followed around the store by the Cashier. When we went to the counter to purchase our items I was turned away by the cashier and wrongfully accused of stealing from the store the day before. When in fact it had been a couple of weeks since I had visited that location last to get gas. I do live nearby and it is our local Maverick that we visit on occasion. The gentlemen at the cash register proceeded to ask us where our blue Chrysler 300 was. His eyes were red and his pupils looked dilated as if he were on some kind of substance or drugs. His uneasy mannerisms led me to think that he was under the influence of some form of substance as well. I tried to explain to the man that he has the wrong person and that we in fact drive a Black Nissan Altima. He then threatened to call the police and have us arrested if we didn't leave the store. We were at the store Sunday 10/18 at approximately 0015. As i mentioned, we do live nearby and like to purchase gas at that location.
