Obsessed with the Maverik and their coffee! I wish I had one of these machines at home, I wouldn't buy coffee outside of my home anymore. This machine makes it all. They offer other blends, but I prefer their house blend hot or iced! The other day, I had an iced coffee, and I'm hooked. Their coffee bar has sugar-free syrups, sugar, cream, cinnamon, etc. I will admit I'm a coffee aholic, and if you're a coffee lover like myself, give Maverik a try. They serve food fresh here as well. If I'm in there early enough, I'll grab a breakfast burrito and hot sauce packets. When I'm working, you can usually find me near a Maverik. Their restrooms are well kept up on road trips as well.

Taco Tuesday! 21 Huge Tacos for $21

It's actually been quite a long time since I've been to this Maverik. Kids grown-up, also they no longer have the taco Tuesdays where you used to get a taco for a dollar. They changed the coffee to a system where grinds the beans and makes the coffee fresh, but always seems to turn out muddy lol. They also change the reward system where you cannot get a free pizza after having 10 tacos. Now you can get a free pizza if you order 10 pizzas. Things change, what hasn't changed is the friendliness of the people here. Aaron was the person who took my food order, and she commented that it's been along time since she's seen me in there. That's because of the past I used to come here every single Tuesday and every Friday. I told her kids are gone now, also with the changes in the specials... The quality of the food is still great. The people are friendly. Prices change, I think compared to other places around, $2.99 for this huge fully packed breakfast taco, it's definitely worth stopping here. Still love the food and people here!

The maverick burritos were a fan favorite always sold out in the morning, but today on 6/29 the the burritos were half the size and the same price. Can some explain because inflation isn't hitting that hard

I love Maverik. They have captured the convenience of a truck stop without all of the drawbacks and odors. The selection, food, freshness, and ease are all top notch. Of course the prices are "convenience" oriented but reasonable compared with the likes of am/pm, Jackson's, or 7/11. The bathrooms are kept clean which is rarely the case at the aforementioned places. There are lots of nice and wide gas bays with competitive prices. There are 3 colors of gas nozzles for your visual pleasure. Footnote: There should be a warning before you enter anywhere with a Cinnabon. The scent from freshly baked rolls is hard to resist.

Got to try the taco Tuesday!

Taco Tuesday! One dollar tacos every Tuesday! They have ground beef, chicken, pork, or steak as the meat. For an extra $.50 each you can have sour cream or guacamole . Thanks to Tommy J., I have found my normal place for Tuesdays. Two steak tacos with a flour tortilla, totaling $2.17 is a huge win for me! They have a condiment bar that includes jalapeños, lettuce, salsa, pepperoncini's and some other sauces. You can even use their fake melted cheese squirter thingy if you really want to! Two of these beauties are plenty for me, but I did try three my first time! I don't know about the other Mavericks, but this one has a great steak taco that I will be enjoying every Tuesday! If you're rolling around Reno with a pocket full of cash, this may not be the place for you. If you're on a budget and don't want to spend a lot of money, I highly recommend you try this place! Yes, I have had better tacos, but I have also had worse for more money! You're welcome!

    Semi truck parking?

Shorts and none of the Maverik's have Semi parking. There is plenty at Sierra SIDS.

I traveled the USA and Canada for many years playing Sax with lots of bands (www.RickMetz.com) and the only choice I had was wherever the band vehicle stopped. Usually, we were under time constraints and we got the quickest thing available. I never liked it... But, if there was a little extra time available, I'd try to find a "real" restaurant in the vicinity to eat at. Didn't happen as often as I would've liked, but I made do. I've tried multitudes of fast food places because of those circumstances...nothing was really to my liking...especially the "major" fast food chains...you know which ones I'm referring to. Then I tried In N Out while touring through California!! OMG! I loved it! Smiling, friendly employees, clean establishments, great customer service...and still fast. (Pro tip: if the drive thru is jam packed? Park and go inside) Always made fresh and to order... Once I learned the "secret menu", that was the kicker for me! (https://www.in-n-out.com/menu/not-so-secret-menu) To be able to customize my burger in any way I wanted it at a "fast food" restaurant? Blew my mind! This is the ONLY "fast food" that I'll seek out... There's lots of debate as to their fries and their shakes. I like the shakes, but only get one once in a while...not a fan of the fries...but, I don't eat a lot of fries anyway... My go to? 2x3, Animal style, no pickles, no tomatoes, add hot peppers. Always delicious! Even though the price has increased over the years, I still feel that it's well worth it. You should try it to see what YOU think!

Who doesn't love In-N-Out Burger?…read more I remember anytime we drove to California, we had to stop in Auburn, no matter how long the line was just to get our burger fix. It was a must every single time. Now look at us, we've got three locations in Reno, one on the way, and even one in Sparks. Back then, we paid about $7.95 for two full meals. Now it's closer to $16--and we're sharing fries and a drink That said, the quality is still fantastic for fast food, and honestly, the price is still pretty reasonable. The staff really know what they're doing too. They've got a system to keep things moving, but let's be real, it's still usually a 20-30 minute wait in the drive-thru when it's busy. I always wonder... would it be faster to go inside? Honestly, I don't think so! Whether you're inside or outside, it's worth the wait the moment you take that first bite of a freshly made burger or those hand-cut fries. And don't forget the milkshakes-lthey're so good! No photos this time... I already know your mouth is watering right now. So, what's for dinner tonight? In-N-Out!!

The owner of Ruby Shake Shop routinely parks his Audi in the limited public street parking spaces along South Virginia Street directly in front of Raising Cane's, Ike's Love & Sandwiches, and the surrounding businesses. Anyone familiar with this area knows parking can already be difficult, especially during peak hours when people are trying to grab lunch, pick up an order, or make a quick stop. What makes this particularly frustrating is that these spaces appear to be occupied for extended periods of time, often throughout the day, by someone who owns and operates a nearby business. Public street parking in a busy commercial corridor is a shared resource intended to serve customers and visitors, not to function as a personal parking space for a single business owner. This review is not a reflection of the products or service at Ruby Shake Shop. It is simply feedback regarding what appears to be an extremely inconsiderate use of limited public parking in an area where parking availability already impacts customers and neighboring businesses.

This order included two shrimp tacos for myself and steak tacos for hubby. The shrimp tacos were dry, spicy and lacked flavor. I know these tacos and how a true Jimboy's shrimp taco should taste. I have been eating Jomboy's since I was around 12 and enjoying their shrimp tacos since it was added to the menu. There is typically a white creamy sauce on the shrimp and the garnishes included are mild to medium to complement the shrimp, not overpower it. The corn shell did not had the signature dusting on the exterior, but it had to be sought out versus being easily viewed as typically received. The exterior of this Jimboy's in heavily uncared for, is run down in appearance and does not reflect the exterior of a single Jimboy's I have ever frequented. My husband asked if we were in the right place! I would not recommend this location and advice to keep your money for a different establishment. Very disappointing experience and the first I have ever had at a Jimboy's with their food.

We kept this order simple and all the sodas were the same. We told her that the line was so long, she'll have plenty of time to get them ready by the time we got to the window. It seems out of spite she filled all the cups to the tip top with ice, and I kid you not, 3 sips of soda in the cups.
