Have the cashier a $20 bill tonight and he tried to tell me I gave him a 5. Don't come here UNLESS you wanna lose your money.

Shoutout to Costco Optical! I'm already a raving fan of Costco, and today's experience with the…read moreoptical department reminded me of exactly why on so many levels. First off, pricing. As always, they're the most competitive in the land, and that's just talking about the numbers. Costco was always neck and neck with all online retailers, even when we're talking about their one time promotional prices! For comparison? my previous eye doctor charged and additional $50+ per box over Costco's regular price, which equates to $400 more per year for my lenses. Best of all, you get an additional % cash back on this when you use your Costco credit card! Win win win! Second, service! Costco's employees are the best and offer help wherever they can. Today the optician was super friendly, helped me quickly find my contacts, looked into applying my insurance and happily looked into and identified rebates for me too! Beyond that, she also applied both my insurance and the rebate INSTANTLY, so I only had to pay the difference. AND she shared that Costco's return policy essentially applies to contacts and glasses bought there too, so you can shop with the same comfort and peace of mind you enjoy in the rest of the store! Truly above and beyond, and it is so appreciated. Third, convenience! It's centrally located and we do so much shopping and gas filling there, that there's rarely a time going to Costco is inconvenient! So glad my eye care needs are now under the Costco umbrella. Insured or not, the cost savings are so worth exploring here.

Leaving the Grand Sierra we needed somewhere to gas up. After some Reno wanderlust we ended up…read morehere. Not sure how else to say this, but we were a bit turned off by the homeless people who were hanging out along the side of the building. After gassing up I went inside to use the restroom *gasp* and grab an energy drink. Restroom doors are inside and always locked and the gal handed me a key attached to the stick of a toilet plunger (hopefully never used for its intended purpose). Along with the store, the Restrooms were clean. There was a solid selection of drinks, as you'd expect as a gas station/convenient store. Service was very nice, so they also had that going for them. Overall, not a bad place to stop for gas, but my wife didn't want to get out. She used the restroom a few exits up, but secretly I think she just wanted Starbucks.

And thank you!) however this has to be the sketchiest Chevron I've ever stopped at in my whole life. We were passing though from Idaho to CA and stoped to get gas and coffee. There was a dude trying to sell some card (maybe a stolen credit card?) out front, everyone inside was dirty, smelly, and seemed like they were on something. My husband saw a drug deal happen right outside the doors as he was filling up. It was adjacent to a even more sketchy motel where most of the people inside were coming to and from. Avoid at all costs.
