This store has a lot of fun items that I cannot find at the local grocery stores near my neighborhood. I just happen to be visiting the area and stopped in to buy a few necessities. Everything in the produce area and bakery and meat department are so beautifully arranged. I was amazed to see things as exotic as starfruit, dragon, fruit, And a very wide variety of gourds. Most of all of the shelves were stocked well and neatly. I noticed that all the products in the dairy were especially faced properly. It was easy to navigate the store and very nice to be able to shop any warm, clean, and inviting store. The cashier that helped me was not the warmest, but she wasn't terrible either. Maybe because it was nearing the end of the day she was exhausted.

Woah. New Raley's is fancy. They've got a cookie buffet, for your dog! I don't know what is in any of those cookies but I do know they're fancy looking. New Raley's has a sushi bar?! New Raley's might be more expensive but I can't tell because I'm blinded by the glistening produce? New Raley's has it all, labneh, dragon fruit, franzia, and what appear to be a whole new section dedicated to fresh made snackies. New Raley's does not have the comforting 70s vibe of old Raley's and is certainly not cheap. But at least new Raley's aesthetic now matches old Raley's prices. I like new Raley's new self check out situation. I accidentally spilled water all over myself and the ground in the self check out line and the very nice young checkout watcher cleaned up my spill. That was kind. Most importantly, new Raley's still has bucatini.

I was up in the NW Reno Keystone area, and I heard this Raley's had just reopened after like 6 mo of remodeling. My Raley's in Carson sure could use a remodel! The store was really hoppin' and parking was tight in the lot. The store looks like a brand new shiney store with nce organized asiles. What I really wanted to see was the meat and deli department as well as the hot food section. Looking at the meats, yes, they do offer prime grade beef here, but wow, those prices you're sure gonna pay. It's like Whole Food prices. $28 per lb for Prime Grade Rib Eye and they didn't really look that prime with the marbling they had. I guess it's just prices these days! The salmon was a little more reasonable at less than $10/ lb. THe ready made foods were Chinese offerings, but the prices were sit down restaurant prices for entrees of like sweet and sour pork and general's chicken, $12 an order, same as in Carson. One thing that struck me as odd, was the this location is lacking a Pharmacy! I love my Raley's pharmacy in Carson, but this brand new store has none! It's like a Costco without a gas station! (there are a few). Well, at least the locals around here have their grocery store back!

Deceptive pricing.

Previously you had to enter in the back from an alley, since they were going for the speak-easy vibe and had a facade of a surplus store in the front. Now you can enter in the front and it actually looks like a bar from the outside. I think it's quite nice inside, kind of a late 1920's feel and decor with low lighting and ornate fixtures. They have booths and tables, as well as plenty of bar seating; the bar is quite long. They do have a stage and we were told they have live entertainment. Among the tables they have a variety of games to play. We were very pleased to learn that they allow dogs! On Wednesdays they have all-night happy hour with 2 for 1 drafts (including some wine selections and a cider option) and well drinks. I'm not a cocktail gal, but this seems like the place to grab a cocktail and feel swanky. The bartender was super nice and friendly. I don't venture downtown often, but I'll be back!

The owner's personal, private message response to this constructive feedback was completely out of touch, defensive, and hostile. Instead of taking any accountability for the experience, the owner chose to personally attack me. He told me the entire situation was my fault, claiming I should have asked for more cheese when I paid $64 for two boards that were already inadequate. He aggressively stated that I 'lacked courage' for using an online review system and that 'What you did is useless!' The owner then concluded by telling me that 'it is best for you to never come back!' When you leave honest feedback, this management will insult you and ban you. This level of unprofessionalism warrants a 1-star rating. I have uploaded screenshots of the owner's full conversation to this review so future customers can see exactly how management treats people who dare to criticize them.

Cut and pasted from their website: "Slieve means "A…read moreMountain" in Irish Gaelic, their family roots." Quality/Quantity - Been an extremely long stressful day! So I NEEDED a break from the day to just relax and stop thinking! I gave my wife a few options, a few breweries to choose from (or for me to just go alone, which she would not have let me drink and drive, especially all the way from North Reno). So she/we chose to go to Slieve as I have not been there yet. Actually, all 3 choices were breweries. The good news is that there are more and more new breweries opening. The bad news is that there are more and more good breweries closing, in ALL my hometowns... My first time in a nano brewery; cool. Today I got (and tried the following), all Slieve brands; support local: Oh, I did not know you had a happy hour M-F from 2-5pm; I just missed it by 13 minutes... Should not have spent so much time outside taking pictures for Yelp, lol. Pale Ale - Good, but I prefer more flavor. This is currently my second "go to" beer after reds. Jimbo Porter - Better, but then I tried the Cookie Monster! I also did not taste the coconut. Cookie Monster - My favorite of the beers, so much flavor. And I am NOT usually a sweet beer drinker. It was not an overwhelming stout, probably due to the sweetness, but you can definitely taste the chocolate and slightly coffee and caramel flavors. I would get this again, but it would always have to be my last beer due to the flavors. Beers that I need to come back for when available are: Your reds, IPAs and of course your "Trinity Tripel." Ambiance - On your "about" page on your website, it says you are still looking for a home for your brewery...? Is that accurate or does that page need to be updated? Cool space, indoor and outdoor seating. Bar and table seating. 2 bars, one the back, probably only used for events. Semi private room when you walk in. Ping pong, darts, games, cornhole, cool decor on walls throughout to read, etc. Open 7 days a week, see their website. Yelp's hours/days differ slightly. Event spaces are available; see their website.. Service - Good. We were also greeted by Shannon when she and Phillip came in later for a drink or two... Phillip was too busy drinking to say hi, lol. Price - $8 a beer. The typical cost for good craft beer. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success since 2022 with your nanobrewery; I wish you the best and am glad you own the building to help you weather some "storms."

We got there a little early to pick our spot at the bar. We were greeted by Shannon the owner. She is a lovely lady and later met her husband Phil. They have owned Slieve's for about three years. They have a spacious building and super clean! The staff are friendly and accommodating. There is no food on the premises to purchase, but you can bring your own food or ordered inn. It was fun to sample Girl Scout cookies and taste beer. We started with 6 tastings but they threw in a couple extra. The event was well organized and the Girl Scouts were there to sell their cookies. I was a Girl Scout 50 years ago. I think a box of cookies was $1.00 - $1.25. I paid $7. Times have certainty changed. The brewery is in an interesting location that I never knew existed before, but now I do and look forward to my return. Thank you for making our day fun and memorable!!!

Since there was no Tahoe AleworX, we decided to go to Fox Brewery after Lead Dog; sadly see other Yelp review... Anyway, we each got the Lead Dog Left for Red which was good, but I think it could have been colder. Nothing a glass of ice can not fix. And now with the Parley's relationship/partnership/merger, we have more beer options! BTW, both beers are also available at Costco. :) Happy hour; $2 off pints. Ambiance - Decent size place.
