The CVS is really convenient if you're needing a pharmacy in South Virginia plumeria I'll stop by the CVS several times one time for pharmacy fill up and then another time for some birthday cards for some family members. The parking is hit-or-miss at Shoppers Square depending on what time of day you go and what day you go the CVS is it really that easy to see from the street but it's right inside of the Shoppers Square near the Bank of America and McDonald's. I like this location since it has big large Isles in case people have wheelchairs you can get around them it's not super cramped like other CVS locations are. Word to the wise if you're looking for ice cream I would look elsewhere because they don't have a great selection, I was here the other night looking for some and didn't find what I was looking for. read more

Ok last year was a crappy year for me medically speaking. I had accidents, illnesses, you name it, and it happened to me. When I (actually being sober) fell down my stairs in my house ended up on crutches. Of course the medical supply store was closed so Pootchie and I drove ALL over Reno to every Wal Mart, Walgreens and CVS at midnight looking for a pair of crutches and THIS CVS was the ONLY store in all of Reno that had crutches for my height! I'm 5'6 which apparently is the most popular height of people who break their legs because they had plenty of crutches for people shorter or taller but none for me. So this CVS became my favorite place just because it meant I didnt have to hop around like a lunatic. read more

Having just had surgery, I needed to pick up some medical supplies for the healing process (band-aids, Neosporin, etc.). CVS was in the area so I popped in. Funny how you go in to buy 2 or 3 things on your list but end up walking out with everything from low-salt Pringle's potato chips and $1 notepads and Burt's Bee products. HELP. I despise this store's pharmacy. Literally, EVERY month since I started going here 6 months ago, they've had a problem filling my prescription. Every month! And it's not the same problem either. Oh no, every month they find some new way of messing up. I like the man at the counter and he always corrects whatever the issue is, but it still always takes damn near an hour to complete what should be a quick errand. The wait times are always outrageously long too, so I'm obviously not the only one having this experience. I've decided I've finally had enough though. One capable employee isn't cutting it. I'm switching over to Walgreens. If you're trying to decide on a pharmacy, I'd definitely pass on this one. read more

I have been disappointed in the pharmacy staff lately. They come off as judgey and rude. On Wednesday I dropped off a prescription at 1:30 and was told 5 pm was the earliest they could have it done. I stopped by at 630 before I went to a family dinner and was told they needed 20 more minutes. I couldn't wait so I stopped back at 855, when they had closed early. It seems like the people who are there first thing in the morning are much nicer than those who work in the afternoons. A tech told me she'd need to contact my doctors' office about a certain prescription and so she didn't think they could fill it. When I called to make sure they could get a hold of my doctor, Skye, the tech who originally told me they would need to call them acted like I was crazy and told me that they don't context the docs, that I would need to do that... I would have handled it two days ago if that was the case. When the new pharmacist got on the phone he was extremely condescending, which matched the pharmacy tech's attitude perfectly. I think it's time to change pharmacies! read more

This pharmacy and due to everything I've been through is top notch. People there like David, Gina, Adrienne basically the whole crew are smart, timely, kind, understand situations when explained. They are one of the best pharmacies in Reno. I have gone to many CVS pharmacies in Reno and two of the worst are in South Reno especially for my mom. She lives near Virginia City, NV and took all of prescriptions to this CVS and she said that they are accurate and kind. Steamboat Parkway and Del Monte Ranch CVS pharmacies are both nightmares. They don't listen,don't care at I've gotten an eye roll for asking questions,give wrong times when things will be ready and sometimes get days wrong she got completely fed up and asked me to PLEASE get everything she has filled at East Plumb Lane CVS pharmacy for the love of god they get everything correct. Due to my two diseases Tahoe Forest Hospital gave me on 12/11/2018 and the anti nausea medication I have to take with it CVS knows me. I will stick with this place they are reliable and on the ball every time and try to make sure everything is right. I have given good reviews through their main headquarters phone line too. For what it is, CVS serves it's purpose. I pick up prescriptions from here all the time. The techs have always been friendly to me. They now have a convenient program where they text you when your prescription is ready to be picked up. The store may SEEM "ghetto," but in my opinion it's only because of the building. It's old, what do you expect? Check out service was fine too, nobody was rude or slow. I was in and out with what I came for within minutes. I don't know if all CVS has this but I noticed that you can get your passport photo taken here too. read more

I received a bottle of insulin that was only half full. Called and spoke to the pharmacist Christine who ASSURED me she would take care of everything the next morning. So I call and guess what? She has the day off!! I so do NOT appreciate being lied to. I NEED my insulin. So we shall see how this goes but at this time I am very disappointed in her. read more

I give this pharmacy a one if that. That being said I like CVS, I actually switched from 7th street CVS because it was closer to home and seemed to have so much more to offer. Well that was a huge mistake! The employees had no time for me and said my script would not be ready till the next day at 5:00! Ok I'm game, but that wasn't the problem. The problem was when I tried to fill my regular script they flat told me no and that I had to call the doctor to contact my insurance company (Medicare), it's already been approved for name brand and should not have been a problem. It's not like a narcotic or anything! They did not ONCE answer their phone, I called many times but CVS sent a note to me through my boyfriend. Wow that's not all! I had my doctor call in the script to my other CVS and they couldn't fill it because plumb lane held it hostage.i couldn't believe it! If you get to read this up to this point be warned!!!!! The cashiers are rude. My husband and I went in to get a prescription, and he came in with a cane, they basically accused of us stealing the cane. They advertise money gram, yet it hasnt worked in months. The manager is very unfriendly, and acts like it's a bother to assist. read more

What terrible management. Daniel watching customers walking in and profiling individuals. And very rude & confrontational. I asked him after observing him sneak in between aisles. If there was anything I could help him with... right off, he was defensive- and snapped at me with " No , is there I can help you with ". He is as clearly popping up on the other side of aisles keeping his eye on us. We only needed few toiletries. He proceeded to watch us the remainder of our time in the store and even came back to me and asked if there was a problem again. When I told him , he was the issue- he literally got in my face and then followed me. This is horrible!!! Their only response was , they've had a lot of stealing from that store. NOT everyone is a thief , why are certain individuals being profiled when they walk in? Why was the so called " manager " confrontational, immediately suspicious . I'm not even from around here. I'm sure this business is not last long up and running with the way the manager runs it. He is a part of the issue this nation is a struggling through. Do better CVS, screen your managers. John, the head pharmacist was always very helpful and extremely knowledgable he has since retired and there is only one gal left that has been there for years. They have minimal products, horrible checkout service ( usually only one person working, one very sloooow person too), and I usually have to go to a second store to get everything I need. I chose to move prescription to CVS on Plumb ln because it's closer to my house and my last pharmacy wouldn't fill my refill till 30 days was up & screwed up my last prescription. I thought CVS would be more expensive but more convenient. They moved my prescription right away, texted me the next day when my order was ready & it was the same price as the other place. I highly recommend this pharmacy for filling prescriptions. The pharmacists are professional and know what they're doing. Every member of the pharmacy staff I have come in contact with have gone out of their way to answer questions and help. They are polite and provide great customer service even when they are swamped by customers in line and phones ringing off the hook. I travel a little out of my way to come here. I transferred my Rxs from the California Avenue location because of the sheer incompetence and rudeness of the pharmacy staff, including the pharmacists themselves. read more

This CVS pharmacy dispensed the wrong medication to my husband. He is on beta blockers and they mixed a medication that shouldn't be taken with beta blockers in with it. The pills are very similar - the only difference being that the wrong one is a tiny but larger than the right one - but so similar that we almost didn't notice at all. In fact they are so similar that it's just by luck and chance that we did notice a difference. So we have no idea how long he's been getting the mixed medication. At this point we don't know what the long terms effects if any are going to be. All I can say is BEWARE AND CAREFULLY CHECK ALL YOUR MEDICATION WITH A FINE TOOTH COMB BEFORE TAKING IT. read more

Very understaffed. The auto system will drive you crazy with calls about items ready, but a live person can't take the time to call when there is an issue. There is always at least a two hour wait time when dropping off, usually a lengthy time waiting in line to pick up (5+ minutes), then a few minutes waiting for the mandatory consult even if you have taken the medication for years. To speak to someone by phone a minimum wait time of 15 minutes, never less, usually more. read more

CVS Pharmacies are the worst. They violated my HIPAA rights several times, announcing my meds loudly in front of all the customers at checkout. The obnoxiously rude employees treat me like a second class citizen, they are slower than tar on a freeway tire and don't care. The pharmacist calls my teenager at my house an hour away to tell HIM he cannot fill my perscription for another two days (wrong), while I'm standing in front of the counter in person. They lost my script. They tried to charge me $75 for 9 pills, when my insurance says it's $75 for 60 pills and two months of refills, so they tried to rip me off. I LOVED Target Pharmacy. The employees were like family, always helping me out and doing the right thing. Then CVS bought them out. The service went to hell, the speed at which they worked slowed to a snail's pace, all my favorite employees quit, a new batch of people appeared behind the counter and they were all very unprofessional, rude, and indifferent. CVS made me wait 2 hours to tell me they were out of my medication. CVS refuses to fill a new script, saying it's a "refill" and my insurance says there are two days left in the month, when it's a brand new script. I offer to pay out of pocket and the jerks at CVS refuse to give me any consideration or respect and they walk away. I take the same script to Walmart and have it in 30 minutes.
