It is great to have a mochi donut shop in south reno! The location is wonderful, you can have a snack break while shopping or before going to the movies. When you go in, you place your order at the kiosk and they are pretty quick to have your order done. It is a nice restaurant with big windows and outdoor seating! I really enjoyed the Dubai mochi donut and the watermelon juice - yum!!

5/17/26 Missed the soft opening, but made it in today.. Surprised and glad it wasn't too busy.. Step up to the kiosk to place your order.. Went with six donuts .. Great ambiance with cool music.. I'm not a big mochi person but they did have a pistachio chocolate one...

Better than I expected! I don't normally like donuts so when mochinut opened right next to my yoga studio a few days ago, I was skeptical. But I came in and tried the choco kit kat flavor and I enjoyed it. It seems like the perfect place for teenagers featuring weird flavors and bright colors and a clean modern interior. The texture of these donuts is softer and fluffier, not cloying or dense or cakey which is what I prefer. They are very cute and aesthetic and pretty! I can't wait to come back and try the boba as I adore boba.

Nice to have a Mochinut near our house. Very simple set up. You order and pay at a kiosk and wait for it to come out. They have other items like hot dogs and various drinks. Several tables if you want to dine in. Check it out.

Kiosk (the one you can order food/drinks only) the other one near by door works for drinks only

Visited in the late afternoon and it was pretty busy. The ordering setup was a bit confusing there are two kiosks one near the entrance for drinks only and another by the cashier for both food and drinks. That definitely caused some confusion for first time customers. We ordered 6 mochi donuts strawberry cheesecake Dubai chocolate mango sticky rice Choco Kit Kat Vietnamese coffee. Overall, they were on the sweeter side some a bit too sweet like the Choco Kit Kat. A couple felt a bit bland especially the Vietnamese coffee which had the aroma but not much real coffee flavor. Favorites were the strawberry cheesecake and Dubai chocolate good balance flavorful without being overly sweet. The mango sticky rice was interesting and different though not the best pairing in my opinion... For drinks we tried the Ube Matcha Einspanner and Tiger Sugar Dirty Latte. The Ube Matcha was pretty flat in flavor while the Tiger Sugar was strong and slightly reminded me of Vietnamese coffee with sweetness added actually pretty good. We stayed to eat and found out they sold out of mochi donuts by around 5pm which led to a lot of customers leaving disappointed. That seems like an issue especially since mochi donuts feel like their main item. Staffing also seemed very limited just the owner and family running everything. Tables weren't very clean with crumbs left around and the space itself looks partially updated but still feels dated likely from its previous tenant which was a Starbucks... Overall, there is some potential here I would come back to try other flavors and the corn dogs but they still need improvements in stock management cleanliness and the ordering system.

    Kiwi coconut jelly

Amazing food! The half and half potato dog with the spicy mayo exceeded my expectation! The coconut jelly of phenomenal! I'm not much of a fan of coconut even and loved it! It also comes in this cute glass jar that in definitely keeping to make coffee at home. I've been to other mochinuts in many states, and nothing compares to this location! Good service! They were very kind and helpful when ordering. I love to see a family business!

I decided to treat myself, the other caregiver, and my mom (the person we take care of), with donuts! I have heard many good things about Sprinkle and finally got a chance to try it! I ordered through GrubHub. I chose a half dozen and let the store pick which donuts we get. I figured they could surprise me, and they did! I got 7 donuts ! And the variety was great (see photo). We each got 2, mom got 3. I had the twist and fruity pebble. I absolutely LOVED this twist! I usually don't get those because they aren't good. But Sprinkle Donuts made me a fan! They make them fluffy! And the fruity pebbles wasn't too sweet! It tasted like a bowl of cereal AND a donut! I was told the other donuts were great, as well! This is definitely one of my favorite dessert places!

I can't say I've ever met one I didn't like. Heck, even the 1/2-priced day-olds have a place in my heart. Have you ever put a donut in the microwave for 20 seconds? Today, a volunteer was needed to pick up a dozen donuts for a meeting. I said, "You buy, I fly," and off I went. It's 8:45am, not too busy, and customer service is spot on. The display cases are full of beautiful sprinkles and glaze and peanuts and bacon... yup, I was eye-balling that Maple & Bacon! I requested a mixed dozen. Then I saw it... the sign read "Sausage, Jalapeno and Cheese kolache." Ooooh goodness gracious, it was the biggest kolache I'd ever seen. And Id never seen one in Reno or Sparks. They do grow things bigger in TX. I know cuz I lived in Deep East TX. But this is Sparks, NV, and I want to try this. I've eaten a kolache or 2 or 500 in my day. He even offered to warm it up before I asked. I wanted this to be good, no I wanted it yo great. To be the "Whete have you been since I moved back to NV?" it wasn't. I was disappointed. The amount of filling to bread ratio was way off, in my opinion. I expected a sausage, not 6-8 sausage "coins" wrapped in a 7" x 5" dough package. It was soft, and the color was so inviting. It looked like it was gonna be amazing. If you've never tried one, do try Donut Bistro's kolache... It's a soft, warm, savory option. Just make sure to also ask for the Maple & Bacon, cuz that one doesn't miss a point!

There was a decent selection of coffee as well. I highly recommend you check out Donut Bistro next time you are in Sparks, NV!

The apple fritter was huge, I thought I would be able to finish it but ended up saving half for later. We ordered the Dust Storm: a vanilla milkshake with chocolate bits, topped with a giant blondie skewered dramatically on top, plus whipped cream, sprinkles, and chocolate drizzle. The rim of the jar was coated in marshmallow dip and graham cracker crumbs because apparently subtlety has left the chat. Honestly, the presentation was on point and exactly the kind of milkshake kids dream about. Which is why we ordered it. My tween declared it "the best milkshake I've ever seen in my life," and honestly, that alone made it worth the stop on our mother-daughter trip. Taste-wise, it leaned very sweet for me and didn't have a ton of flavor depth beyond sugar overload. But clearly the goal here is maximal fun and aesthetic, and they absolutely nailed that. It's basically a photo op you can drink. The shop itself was surprisingly quiet when we visited in the evening--we had the whole place to ourselves--but there were games to play while waiting for our order (we pulled out Pick Up Sticks, which transported me straight back to my 90s childhood living room). The ladies at the counter were also incredibly kind and patient explaining the menu and flavors to us. If you're looking for an over-the-top dessert experience your kids will talk about for days, this is your place.
